While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Make clothing that can be worn

Make clothing that can be worn. When side button holes are larger than the buttons, they can't be worn. When paint seeps through the material, painters get mad. The crazy model of trying to get product on the cheap means no repeat business and constant complaints.

Deeply disappointed

Deeply disappointed – poor quality and misleading information

I bought the Portwest S3 ESD FE05 safety shoes with great expectations.
The retailer confidently told me the model had a BOA tightening system and even a lifetime warranty. That turned out to be completely false – neither is true. Whether this was a lie or ignorance, the result is the same: misleading the customer.

The shoes started falling apart in less than two months of normal use. The sole detached, and the tightening system failed. I rely on proper safety shoes for real protection – and these gave me none.

I contacted Portwest directly, provided photos and full details. The only reply I got was: “We’ll pass this on to our team.”
Since then – complete silence for over two months.

This isn’t about money. It’s about trust, quality, and responsibility – things that Portwest clearly doesn’t take seriously.

If you care about safety, reliability, or customer support, I strongly recommend staying away from Portwest and their products.
