My Worx pressure washer became faulty…
My Worx pressure washer became faulty with a problem when charging the battery. Great service from Phoebe Brooks in customer support at Positec. After a few emails I have a new battery and charger on its way. Thank you.
Caveat Emptor if dealing with Positech
CAVEAT EMPTOR if dealing with POSITECH. I seldom write reviews but Positech have made me see red!! My Landroid mower had to be returned under warranty as the rain sensor failed. So far so good although they did take much longer to repair than anticipated.
However, the same problem has reoccurred just out of guarantee and now I am told the spare part is obsolete and the only way it MIGHT be possible to repair it is by using a secondhand part!! Could this mean they used a secondhand part before and explain why it did not last very long? Amongst my many emails complaining about the premature obsolescence of their spare parts was one to Torsten Bollweg [CEO of Europe, Middle East & Africa] who from his lack of response or action appears to be completely happy running a useless company!!
After many weeks/months trying to get a part, it appears that it is critical when purchasing a Positech product to establish when it was first launched as this is the benchmark they use. In my instance this made my mower 6 years old but at the time of purchase I was not told of this and there was no manufacturer's date or sell by date on the item. In any case if one buys a car and the wiper motor packs up after 3 years are we expected to buy a new car if the motor is no longer available?? Are we ever told when it was first manufactured?
I certainly will NEVER purchase another Positech product
I owned a WORX mower and it went wrong…
I owned a WORX mower and it went wrong so took it apart but was an electrical issue within module so unrepairable. Bought the identical model but sounded graunchy, took it apart and manufacturers have replaced motor bearings with cheaper bushes causing the weird motor noise. i emailed Chris Hart after sales support manager, he said he had spoken to their quality and sustainability manager too and he flatly refused they had made changes to bearings, I said I would take new machine apart photo/video it to prove my point (noting I am a mechanical engineer). his response the machine is fine ignoring my request and stated We will not be taking this any further. You are free to take the issue to Trading Standards should you wish but there is no issue with your mower. Hardly a professional response. As such suggest you cannot trust this third rate establishment so go elsewhere. WORX are all made in China and have very few if any UK parts - that sums this sad company up so please learn from my experience.
We ordered and paid for a next day delivery hedge trimmer…
We ordered and paid for a hedge trimmer from Positec which has not arrived , initial I was able to speak to a representative of Positec Dom who was sympathetic and appeared to be helpful but since my initial conversation we cannot contact anybody there. We are trying to understand what has happened to our order It has not been delivered and we are getting a variety of excuses including Evri claiming that “they missed us” luckiy we have security cameras as witnesses that no delivery attempts have been made.
In the Ebay advertisement the reason we selected the item from Positec was because it was advertised as next day delivery , well we are still waiting .
We are no longer waiting, Positec have refunded our money.
Shocking service and products that stop…
Shocking service and products that stop working after minimal use. I mean a handful of times if that and then you contact the company they are not interested would never buy again. Could give a 0 if possible.
Failed Company. Abysmal customer service A Company ruined. AVOID THEM!
What an abysmal example of customer service and focus.
I have bought previously from Worx who were easy to contact, most helpful and quick to deliver.
THIS IS NO LONGER THE CASE
Placed 2 orders on 5th and 6th to 2 different delivery addresses. Both were on 3-5 day delivery. Then followed the saga of trying to find-out what would be delivered and when. The "customer service" team must have a compendium of BS answers. They were a waste of time giving vague and useless replies to enquiries.
They claim to have delivered both orders but we haven't found one of them yet.
WORX - NEVER AGAIN

Poor, inadequate support
I contacted Italian technical support team, asking for a very simple form of support: I needed to replace the button battery CR1225, value of few euros, asking to where exactly it was located on the mainboard so that I could proceed myself.
They didn't answer to my question, they proposed for two times to send the WORX Mower for repair, total cost 77 euros. What a great, easy opportunity to NOT satisfy a customer.
I have been trying to return a mower…
I have been trying to return a mower which i purchased on EBay. They issued me with a returns label for Parcel force or Royal Mail. I chose parcelforce and realised that the weight was only 2.2kg on the label. The mower is 25kg. Nobody wants to answer my messages…
Scrap 1 x £200 working Lawnmower over a handle.
I bought a £200 lawnmower from Worx through 'Very' 2 1/2 years ago, Last week while mowing the whole handle snapped off.
Contacted 'Positec who makes the product'
They asked for photos which I supplied, and then an Invoice, which due to the age I couldn't supply, I explained this wasn't a warranty claim and that I wanted to purchase a replacement handle as simple as that, (this isn't a part that we have available as a spare I was told)
Scrap 1 x £200 working Lawnmower over a handle.
I would give no stars if possible. AVOID this company.
I would give no stars if possible. Positec do not give a damn and do not honour their warranty. I emailed them when my new saw arrived and they confirmed tht I had a 2 years' warranty as long as I had proof of purchase. My Blue Ridge Saw BR2801 was less than a year old with little use. The charger wires became bare and caused electrical shorting making it useless. When I tried to claim for a new charger they said that I had no warranty cover because I bought the saw on Ebay and not directly from them. They did apologise that they hadn't mentioned this at the beginning. I guess most of their products are sold through Ebay. My hardly used saw is now useless! What a shower they are!!
Worthless Warranty
Purchased the Worx pruner for my wife back in April 2023 which I registered on their website so as far as I knew, it was covered under warranty until at least 2026. The jaws recently stopped working so I tried to register a repair via their website, strangely it failed and an automated response said they would look into it. I then emailed them at their customer service address, they failed to respond so I finally reached out to their eBay team as again no reply.
Luckily I had purchased it via Amazon who after explaining to them that the manufacturer wasn’t interested in replying to me, they decided to except it back and refund me.
Although I do like Worx tools, if you want to purchase their brand, make sure you don't buy from them direct as getting them to honour their warranty is a nightmare.
Do not trust this company
Do not trust this company - they are dreadful. For those of you that don't know they front the WORX brand of powertools. DON'T BUY WORX. If you ever need support, or your product develops a fault, you'll never get anything from them, regardless whether your product is under warranty or not. They make promises, and never deliver on anything. AVOID!
I have tried for 5 months about my…
I have tried for 5 months about my faulty electric chainsaw and cannot get anything done. I initially spoke to someone in Positec months ago after sending emails etc. they said they don't do Ferrex Chainsaws. Now you can't speak to anyone it must be done on line, but you cannot find anywhere to contact. I have just filled in another feed back form of Aldi but previous contacts have not worked. DISGUSTING...
None existant warranty support
I totally agree with the reviews about the lack of warrany service. Since ALDI moved their tool supplier to Positec (Ferrex) the service has plummited. I returned a multitool 2 months ago and was promised a checque as they had no stock. Still waiting. Just get 'I'll chase it' replies from emails to "Edward and Emma".
3 Year warranty is not worth anything
I purchased the WORX WX696 18V (20V MAX) 2.0Ah Sonicrafter Oscillating Multi Tool that came with a 3 year warranty which I did register on their website. It worked ok for 2 years then developed a fault. I contacted Positec and provided them with all the information that was asked and they replied with, I have raised a warranty claim with the intention of replacing your faulty tool. Once I receive authorisation, I will send you a prepaid DPD return label so your faulty tool can be delivered to our warehouse. Upon its arrival, we will process and dispatch your replacement.
Kind regards,
Patrick Sanders.
After a few weeks of not receiving any contact from them I emailed to ask for any updates on the returns and they did not respond to anything that I sent to them.
So as for the 3 Year warranty that sounds great when looking at purchasing these power tools is not worth anything at all when they do not stand by it.
Waited 2 months for a refund (still not received)
Customer service advised me to return a new faulty item for a replacement, but they didn't check if they had stock.
I returned the item on 3 August, and there was no stock for a replacement. I waited 10 weeks, and there was still no stock, so they offered a refund on 17 October.
I asked for an update on 18 November as still no refund and they replied saying they would try to get an update, 2 weeks passed and no update so I chased again on 2 December (a week ago) and this time they haven't even bothered to reply.
I have spent over £1500 on Worx tools in the past 12 months, had I known what poor customer service they provide, I would have bought a different brand.
Great customer service
I contacted Edward in customer services by email after I had a problem with a cordless drill and impact driver I had bought from Aldi.
He promptly replied and quickly helped me resolve the issue.
He went above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble for him and at all times was very polite and courteous.
I have seen other negative reviews but I can only review based on the service I received which was excellent.
Maybe those people with bad experiences in the past had contracted the company before Edward started working there or he was on his day off.
If I could give 11/10 I would.
Thanks again Edward
Don't borther or waste your money
Don't bother or waste your money - have been trying to get either a replacement or refund for a faulty item which stopped working properly with a few weeks after I purchased it since all back in 2021. Getting absolutely nowhere with customer service. Trust meave yourself the hassle & headaches and just choose another brand
Ferrex nail gun
I had an issue with a ferrex nail gun that was purchased online from Aldi. The battery/ charger appeared to be the problem. I did not have a receipt and thought that this would be a problem. No it wasn't. Edward just required a copy of my bank statement showing the transaction. Within 2 days I had a replacement battery and charger. Everything working fine. Excellent service
