Information provided by various external sources
Fence-Aid, the company behind the Post Buddy fence post repair system was founded in 2010 by husband and wife, Wayne and Gaby Phelan. The family business based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, first began in the Phelans’ back garden when a broken fence post caused their fence to lean. Wayne did not relish the thought of digging out and replacing the damaged fence post. He knew that existing products on the market made for back-breaking, time-consuming work. Looking for a quicker, easier solution, Wayne, a former Development Project Manager, came up with new ideas on how to fix a leaning fence.……..and Post Buddy was born. Both Wayne and Gaby committed themselves to their new business venture and Gaby uses her experience as a PA to ensure Fence-Aid’s customers receive top quality service. Together Gaby and Wayne continue to grow and develop the company.

Brilliant solution
Had 6 fence posts which were rotted through at ground level so was contemplating replacement with new ones (involving very difficult concrete removal). Saw these advertised and thought they were worth a try first. Unbelievable, a pair of these straps per post plus a 4lb lump hammer and I have 6 "as new" fence posts. Got screws with them as well which were very good. Absolutely recommend!
Easy to use and effective
Arrived in good time, easy to use and does what it says it should.
Fixed a wobbling post in minutes.
Had fixed a main gate post with concrete but an intermediate post was more difficult to get to.

Within a few minutes they were knocked in and screwed to the post, job done.
Will be my go to method in future.

Amazing for broken wooden posts set in concrete
First time I have used postbuddy repair spikes, so I was a bit sceptical of some of the reviews.
I used it on a broken post in an awkward location, and was delighted with the ease of use. The post had snapped in high winds and the timber was sound. Although the concrete was missing on one side and one postbuddy spike went into soil, the one on the other side went in as intended between the post stump and the concrete infill. The repaired post is amazingly solid, far better than an adjacent post that I repaired several years before with a different type of spike. Much cheaper and easier than breaking out concrete and putting in a new post in fresh concrete.
Make sure that the post stub in the ground hasn't rotted as this system relies on the steel spikes gripping firmly on solid timber set in concrete, and the concrete infill being solid around the post stump.
I'm happy to award 5 stars.
