16 month helmet - rusty and malfunctioning
Bought a premier helmet 16 months ago and a cable from the unlocking mechanism broke which means I cannot open the flip up. Trying to figure out what happened, I quickly realised that all the bolts were rusty and damaged (even though the helmet is stored inside daily and I ride the bike 10 miles a day). I tried to remove the visor to change it but the springs were rusty and broke. Really poor quality should not buy.

Premier Discovery Carbon could be a great helmet, but it's just mediocre...
I'm a 50 years old rider with 32 of experience and i owned about 15 helmets of many brands.
On October 22th i bought a Premier Discovery Carbon. I didn't have any reference about Premier quality, but i was convinced by it looks and the price (reduced) was appealing.
But now i can say i am very disappointed with the helmet. In the first few days I only used it in dry weather, and in that situation i have no criticism to make. But when riding in the rain, it doesn't even take 10 minutes to get fogged up, even if the air temperature isn't even that low (about 10-15º). Even at the highway, the ventilation isn't enough to avoid it. Front air intake is very low, and the top one even worse so the visor, even with pinlock, fogs up in the central area (i ride a R1200gs and wind screen diverts a lot of air from the rider torso and head. Why Premier doesn't think abou this?!!!) The breath deflector is useless and i'm not able to remove the chin curtain, which means i have to open the visor a little while raining at hightway speed... So bad!!!
I must say the look is great, the interior linning is very confortable and has quality, as well as the retention lock (micrometric). Everything else is poor: the sun visor lever it's not functional, the little plastic hitch that locks the visor when closed is already broken, the and the user manual is just pathetic...
So i sent an email to Premier (to the address that's on the website) on nov 5th, explaining the fog problem (with photos), my major complaint.
No answer at all... Premier never again!

The Discovery helmet comes equipped with a Pinlock MaxVision 70 lens, a high-end product and market leader, which is also supplied with many high-tier helmets from our competitors.
Assuming there is no question about the quality of Pinlock MaxVision 70 lenses, the main reasons why the visor might fog up despite having the Pinlock could be due to the lens not being properly installed or one of the pins being broken, which would prevent the lens from staying in the correct position and functioning effectively.
The ventilation systems have been carefully designed. The top vent directs air into the EPS, which distributes it across the head through a series of channels. The chin vent features a dual opening for maximum effectiveness: the first adjustment (open/close) is on the external part of the vent, and there is a second slider inside the chin guard to direct airflow either onto the visor to enhance the anti-fog effect or directly towards the mouth.
We would also like to point out that the chin piece is removable! Therefore, if you wish to increase the airflow inside the helmet, you can easily remove it by simply pulling it out.
Two years after its launch, the Discovery helmet remains one of our best-selling and most appreciated models, with no reported functional or design defects. We are sorry that you consider it to be a poor product.
We understand that at the time of writing your review, you were already in contact with our customer service team, the retailer who sold you the helmet, and the distributor. It is our understanding that everyone is doing their best to support you, which makes it even more disappointing to receive such a negative review while we are working hard to assist you.

Quality - Comfort - Durable
I have an old model Premier helmet called "Dragon", [dyneema-carbon-aramide fiber-epoxy resin] for ~12 years (!) now. If I could upload photos you would see that it's in great condition after all that use, both my visors haven't got a single scratch and the exterior finish is spotless-like brand new! The interior, as you can imagine, is worn after all these years and use but not that much that I would say is not good for use, also the piece of fabric on the left buckle that held on the button to secure the strap got torn away. I only wish I could find a new inner liner and cheek pads so I could replace them and then it would be as good as new in every aspect. I really love this helmet because - besides it proved its durability and quality through time - it is lightweight, less noisy and more stable in head turnings at high speeds than my other two (well known Japanese brands) pricey helmets.
Kudos to Premier for providing quality products!
Looking forward to ride with a new model!

Bit of a disappointment
I purchased the Premier X Trail XT2 from sportsbikeshop.co.uk I put a review on there but they decided not to show it.This helmet is heavy at 1860g compared to my HJC RPHA 90s behavo.The lining in the helmet comes out slightly when removed.The visor fogs up at 12'c.You need a 5mm allen key to take the visor off.The venting on top of the helmet is absolutely rubbish.it does not work at all.However the helmet is comfortable.

However, we would like to point out that our X Trail model is a Dual sport flip up in thermoplastic material, so compared to a standard openable we must add the weight of the peak, screws and mounting kit.
Please also note that the weight of the product is regularly declared by us and is gr 1.790 ± 50g.
The model with which you compared our X-trail is a flip up in top-of-the-range composite fibers, so it has a significantly higher price than our product,
We must then consider that the RPHA 90s in addition to having a higher cost also because it has a fiber shell, is a "classic" openable or without peak
So if you wanted to compare the weight of the two products should remove the weight of the peak and all its accessories that in total sums to 180gr.
With regard to the visor I guess he has regularly applied the Pinlock lens that we give as a gift in the right helmet? In this case it is strange that the visor
Appanni anyway! As you know, Pinlock is the absolute leader in antifog lenses and that's why we decided to give only Pinlock lenses with our products for free.

The helmet has a very bad sound isolation, it sounds like you are on a plane take off, and when you turn the face starts to whistle at 120kms. I have 3 motorbikes and gotten more than 10 and 20 helmets and never seen this.
Unless the rest of people has never gone at high speeds or just used scooters the rest of comments should be misleading
In fact, if you google a bit you will find the wind sound isolation is a common problem.
When you tell them they will answer that you used it, so you must eat the helmet…! Because you can’t figure it out until you use.
Don’t trust the discounts are for a 200 euros valued helmet
