We do NOT recommend this company

We do NOT recommend this company. It’s been over a month, my back yard is DESTROYED and there’s nothing more than a huge concrete lined hole in the ground! They broke our sewer line which cost us over $5k to repair. They’ve cut our WiFi cable TWICE which would’ve cost us $300 to fix had the AT&T tech not shown us mercy in recognizing the incompetence of Premier Pools and Spa. I have pics of their “work” but do not see an option to attach to this file. I would give them ZERO stars if I could!

If I could give zero stars

If I could give zero stars, I would. From the owners and managers to the actual workmanship, this company has been nothing but problems. Everything seems fine until you sign the contract—then their true colors come out. Communication is poor, issues go unresolved, and there is zero oversight on the job.

Dickson promotes himself as having years of experience with Anthony & Sylvan and claims his company avoids their mistakes. Ironically, after dealing with him and his crew, I’d much rather go back to Anthony & Sylvan. At least with them, my biggest problem was permits. With Dickson, it has been a complete disaster.

Despite his sales pitch, Dickson was nothing more than a landscaper before pools—and it shows. Landscaping and pool construction are two very different worlds. He also claims to use “all his own guys,” but that isn’t true. They’re contracted workers who clearly don’t care about the quality of their work.

The problems were endless:
• Hot tub: Built three times. We—not their project manager—caught the fact that the tiled walls were wavy. Twice they tried to fix it by re-tiling over mistakes, even lowering the height of the tub to cover the flaws, before finally rebuilding.
• Sitting wall: Designed 8 inches too low by their so-called engineering department. Anyone sitting would have been under water. Again, we caught it, not their team.
• Coping: Installed incorrectly, with uneven measurements around the hot tub. This had to be redone as well.

In short, every major element had to be corrected—and only because we flagged the issues. Their project manager never did.

Premier Pools of Austin/ Georgetown…

Premier Pools of Austin/ Georgetown built a faulty pool for us 3 years ago. They stated in print that they have a Lifetime Warranty". Our pool has been crumbling and loosing water with too many cracks in it to count for over a year now. Premier and their insurance company refuse to give us our money back or even give us the $50K to demolish it and restore our backyard. The owner, John Curl is a crook.

After speaking with a few different…

After speaking with a few different pool contractors and receiving some different quotes, we chose to go with Premier primarily due to the reviews I found online as well as the presentation they sent us about their business and the so-called prestige that went with it. In the beginning everything went very smooth. We were very pleased working with Jodi on the design and her knowledge and expertise was a huge help. We really liked how she presented us “menu” types of options based on our budget as well individual line-item fees for such features and options.
My father was a general contractor, so I know how construction goes and the fact that the construction industry is extremely busy right now with materials being scarce and costs going up. Therefore, I tempered my level of expectations on both the project and the completion date yet was super excited to get into our new pool!
As I mentioned before things were off to a good start. Then towards the later half of the project is when things started to deteriorate. It really started with having a junior project manager assigned to our project that had absolutely no idea what he was doing. There were a lot of empty promises made and ignored requests which created problems that could have been easily avoided. Towards the end I didn’t even want him stepping foot on our property ever again. I understand that Premier needs to use sub-contractors to assist them in finishing the project and I feel they could have done a much better job as well. This company has serious communication problems and a persistent “pass-the-buck” mentality. Their attention to detail was messy and to this day I am still scraping off the over-spray of concrete and plaster, removing chunks of concrete from my planters, and the final task of applying the clear coat on my BBQ counters took an additional 4 months after the job was finished. There was little to no follow up on equipment claim requests due to equipment failures and I had to keep badgering them to get things done. Of the people I have spoken with now that our pool is finished, I tend to hear the same complaints about Premier; bad communication, poor project management, and that all they care about is the money.
There were many frustrations towards the end and not once did the owner of the company reach out to us to offer any type of customer service, relief, or even a “thank you” for the massive amount of money we spent to have our dream pool and back yard. I am stoked now to be working with Pool Pros on our monthly pool maintenance and the fact that they can handle most of the warranty issues directly. I have submitted warranty claims on a few faulty issues and never once even got a reply from Premier which just flat-out sucks. Installing a pool is a lengthy, messy, expensive, and emotional process therefore I would not recommend working with Premier.

I called this company to help with my…

I called this company to help with my pool water, never disclosed there costs and told me they would poo in on their way home. The man turned up tested my oil water which I told him I had already done and it was fine. He handed me a box of four gel clarifiers and told me the call out would be next to nothing because he was only 10 minutes and was on his way home. They then sent me an invoice two months later for 89.00. I challenged this as my older son was witness to what happened, they a rude and won’t engage over the phone . Shame as I would have used them long term being local but now I would never recommend this company to anyone. Shocking customer service and lack of vital information
