PresenceScanner is a free local business directory for Southwest Florida, covering Venice, Nokomis, North Port, Englewood, Sarasota, Port Charlotte and the surrounding communities. Every listed business gets its own page, built by hand and checked before it goes live. Nothing is added automatically, and no business is listed from scraped data or a purchased list. The owner submits their own details and confirms they are accurate. Each page opens with a direct answer about what the business does and where it works, followed by their services, their own words about what makes them different, and real questions a customer would ask with plain answers underneath. Customer reviews are quoted as text with the customer named. Nothing is invented or bought, and there are no star ratings anywhere on the site. Where a trade requires a state license and the owner provides a number, that number is looked up against Florida's own records before it goes on the page. There is no charge to be listed, no advertising, and no upsell. Some applications are declined. The directory exists because most small local businesses are close to invisible to AI search. When someone asks Google or ChatGPT for a local recommendation, the answer is assembled largely from pages that business does not own. A properly built directory page is one of those pages.
