A Fair Warning To Presonus Users
A used hardware device(ioSTATION24c) was purchased and given to me. Since the device was perviously owned, it was registered to the previous owner. This is not good as all software including updates or even outdated software is not available to me, the new owner. The Presonus advice for this is to have the precvious owner unregister the hardaware and it can be re-registered to me. Being as this was an online purchase gifted to me by a completely different person, I have no ideamwho the previous owner was. The Presonus advice for this?? Nothing. That's as far as that goes. If They arent paid for the product by you, they don't care if the product is useless to you. Customer service "tickets" are largely ignored and any phone numbers reach only an outsourced company that has no ability to help you in any way atall. Presonus is a corporate greed machine now, where once they were a Standard in the audio industry, today they are a joke. I used to suscribe to their + model of online programming blah blah blah. They advertise the service to include many many downloads that you can keep even after discontinuance of the subscription. I had financial issues and let the subscription go, itending to pick iot back up later. Lo and behold the truth set me free. after the suscription had lapsed, all my downloads were gone withj it, all of them. Now i have these empty shell vacant file folders. I mean, did they access my computewr and take things,?? Yes. Yes, they did. DO NOT USE PRESONUS!!! Just a fair warning.
One of our ULT15 burned internally, no service
One of our ULT15 burned internally, the switching supply of main audio module is gone. Unfortunatelly Presonus cannot provide new Pascal T-PRO module nor the whole electronic module as a sparepart. They just sold many of ULT loudspeakers with 6 year warranty with no sparepart warehouse. Just only some answers with no sence to the issue. So, sorry, we have 3x ult18, 2x ult15, 2xult12, 2x air12 and I'm so angry I took Presonus.
No customer support available
No customer support available. Payed good money for an interface now discontinued and no support for the current IOS. It is stated on their website that Quantum is supported but it is not. Presonus has not provided a way to contact customer support or even create a ticket. Since the purchase by FMC it's been all downhill. I will never purchase another Presonus product and inform others not to waste their hard earned money.
Presonus software is not working, and so are the devs, not working on any fix.
Presonus is extremely disapointing. Being Presonus user I am shocked how much not working stuff Presonus released and sold sience I became Presonus hardware owner. At first all worked fine, but I was working on free version of th software. I got me StudioLive 16R Mixer. A very expensive audio unit. Everything worked fine, until some driver update release where after installing I noticed that when watching YouTube videos voice pitch was tuned down in all videos. I reversed back to old driver. Over 20 drivers were released sience then and not a single one working. Today I installed Windows 11 on my new computer together with the latest drivers for my mixer. No noticable pitch shift in videos to be noticed, but the control software for mixer dont work at all making the mixer unusable. Few years ago I could control mixer from my phone but even that they dstroyed by releasing some update that didnt work with android version of my phone. DAW software for recording that i use is also Presonus Studio One, and also a very expensive piece of software. I have Artist version and sometimes I subscribe to Spheare to get more features and new version of DAW. Studio One also have its own problems. When you try to install it with all of its content you will notice that MVP loops was not installed. You try by any ways possible to install it, and it seem impossible. MVP loops are sound files for Presonus ATOM, a drum pad from Presonus that I also have, so it is third thing NOT working, because of software NOT working. Presonus support workers wont help. Their only way to fix stuff it is telling you to restart computer reinstall software and stupid stuff you done 100 times before even contacting them, so getting help from Support is pointless. These guys know less about fixing computer related problems then your grandma. Presonus, please fire useles people from your staff and pull your heads out of your holes!! YOU ARE USELESS AND EXPENSIVE! You gonna fix the problems or we gonna end up in refund court case, because I am sick and tired of being owner of very expensive hardware and software that is not working and not being fixed, and not even in plans for being fixed.
A very substandard mixer and aftercare
After 2 years of light home use my Studio live 16 0 2 failed to boot up. It took tech support 2 days to respond to my ticket request, and after several more days toing and froing wrongly suggesting my pc wasn't up to scratch, admitted it wasn't a software issue with my dead mixer, and the unit had to be sent off for repair.... a cost to me of £85 plus transport. A few days later I'm told it needs a new DSP board, another £250 and to add insult to injury, its not available for several months!!

This is the worst company I have ever…
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in all my 35 years as an Audio Producer! I have always owned all my software but decided to try something different by buying into the Presonus Studio One+ yearly subscription. Biggest Mistake i have ever made!!! You cannot cancel as much as you try. Once they have your Visa you are screwed. I have tried canceling directly on my account page by pressing "Cancel Subscription" at least a dozen times and have sent at least a Dozen emails directly to their billing dept and all communications are ignored. I have had to cancel my Visa through my bank and I still receive an email from the company every single day that says " $215.00 payment to PreSonus was unsuccessful. We attempted to charge your Visa ending in XXXX for your PreSonus subscription again, but were unsuccessful. Please update your billing information to continue your subscription".
I receive this every single day!!! Even though I have tried everything to cancel! Do yourself a favour and look up "canceling my Presonus Subscription" you will see all over the internet that every single person has the same problem when they want to cancel. Presonus has made sure that it is impossible to cancel. You are held hostage and so is your Visa. DONT FALL FOR THEIR SUBSCRIPTIONS!!! AND DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR VISA NUMBER!! EVER! What a poor excuse of a company! I have done a ton of Audio projects all over the world for over 35 years and have never ever dealt with such bad customer service!!!
No quality control?
I bought a Presonus Quantum 2626 new from Amazon. It immediately showed problems: noisy pots especially on input 1, and intense hum and feedback if the host computer (a MacBook Pro laptop) is running on battery. Meaning that it probably relies on the host for grounding, or that there is simply no quality control at Presonus (I am inclined to believe the latter because I have seen other reports of noisy pots on the internet). Their customer service representative was very polite and prompt but not helpful (no, a return for service via the retailer is not a good solution, it was faulty out of the box and I wanted an exchange for a TESTED unit and not several weeks of downtime). So I asked Amazon for a refund instead and will avoid Presonus in the future.

Try to create a support ticket, tells me that I can't until I activate my account (have multiple products bought from them and registered on this account, in other words the account is already active), they offer to "re-send" the activation to my email, but when I click that button nothing happens. So I literally can't get help, because I need help to get help. Everything about the way they do support is HORRIBLE
2 years life for speakers - throw away
I bought a pair of speakers which lasted 2 years and 3 months. That is shocking and they wont even offer a paid repair - so I am supposed to throw them out any buy a new pair?

Here's a very tiny teeny story. I bought a bundle from Sonicwire, and surprises, surprises, it comes with Studio One Artist. I was... kinda surprised at most, since i already know a lot of bad things about this company. But i don't care anyways, and decide to install it on my computer. IT SUCKS. I am an FL Studio user, and this thing turns me crazy from left to right to even be able to load a [redacted] plugin, and the best part of it? Boy i can't even able to make sounds out of it, even after smashing the keyboard to seek help. no avail.
So, after all of this shenanigans, i decided to... "How about rewire it to FL so i can at the absolute worst worst least, i can load their plugins into my FL Studio for use?" and here i research. WHAT THE [redacted] DO YOU MEAN I HAVE TO USE THE PRO VERSION, WHICH COSTS AT LEAST 4 TIMES MORE THAN FL STUDIO FRUITY EDITION, WHICH COMES WITH 40 TIMES MORE FEATURES THAN YOUR USELESS DAW TO EVEN REWIRE IT? AND NOT TO MENTION, I HAVE TO [ahihi redacted] REWIRE FL STUDIO ITSELF TO YOUR USELESS "worse than fruity version" SOFTWARE??? I HAVE HAD ENOUGH. Uninstalled. I regret spending SSD life span to install you. What can i even say? if one thing doesn't care about the other, and even have the audacity to including subscriptions, i have nothing to say but just a one [redacted] star. DO NOT USE IT. Even FL Studio fruity edition doesn't torture you as much as that thing does.

Obvious to me that Presonus Tech Support has no experience. And they could care less. They prefer to make their customer feel stupid and dependent. This Baton Rouge company's short answers and slow replies reek of rudeness. They won't call you or even offer a live chat. I am planning to call their dealers (Guitar Center and Sweetwater and to let them know how little respect they have for those that purchase their products.
Over 10 years ago I bought Studio One
Over 10 years ago I bought Studio One, I purchased a brand new iMac on Presonus' recommendation. It was the computer they used in their online demos. I was using a Presonus audio interface just to top it all off.
The software was plagued with issues, worst of all, corrupted audio files which had been recorded in the software. This led me to cancelling a recording session 1 week in and refunding the artists.
Presonus were no help, they blamed the computer I was using and soon after that the interface became faulty just outside of warranty. The issue was obviously with the software on Mac in general, I just wish they'd been more honest about their product which was in its infancy at the time.
In the end I abandoned Studio One and moved to Logic Pro and Ableton Live, I'm writing this now because that very same iMac has just been decommissioned after more than a decade of successful recording sessions.
Needless to say I will never buy a Presonus product again and strongly advise my peers against it. I hope their customer service has improved over the years but I think it's important to call out companies who blame their software problems on the end user.
Presonus Product Transfers…
Tried to get a product and SW transferred to another computer - allowed up to 5. Site would not accept my user name/PW/sw key during activation. Useless tech help.

I thought to write this review but when I saw others here - there is almost no point. Presonus do not have a reputation they could lose.
I purchased R80v2 studio monitors. They were advertised as having an "energy saving function" which is an auto standby, and even service manual stated that, but in fact the feature was not present and the manual was incorrect. It took some time and digging to find out.
And when I informed Presonus about that, in essence their response was "whatevs, we will fix it in the manual, deal with your store you peasant".
Not something that you would expect from such a big company, now even bigger with Fender. Now I am on my own with this problem and Presonus refused to help and accept any responsibility.
If anyone has R80v2 and they think it has energy saving when it is not working - it is not true. Now, you can deal with that information yourself same as me, just don't expect any help from Presonus.
Nothin' new I can add to how bad this company support is..
I leave 3 stars because the products and software are 5star and are among the best. However, support is some of the rudest I have ever encountered in the tech space.
What was a simple issue to reveal to me started as the support simply not wanting to give a reply and instead directing me to forums.
Then with the understanding than an upgrade was needed, rather than take the time to offer the support and upsell, instead was rude.
Later did this, but I was already purchasing the upgrade on my own. They could have offered a discount since I've been using them for several years now. 5+ I think. But I may consider not supporting the company anymore because they are too full of themselves.
A month after buying a PreSonus Studio…
A month after buying a PreSonus Studio 1810c, the headphone output started constant squealing and cracking. The mains were fine, so it kept using it. Then channels 1 and 2 died. The unit was replaced. 13 months later (just out of warranty), the replacement's mains were squealing, and direct monitoring stopped working. When it works, they're nice, with good features and sound. But PreSonus gear simply doesn't belong in any setting where profession work needs to be done.
