Amazing Catalogue

The user interface and large catalogue of newspapers are great. New capabilities to roll out would benefit small communities by partnering with more small community newspapers, giving them the facility to upload stories as a tabloid. This would enable stories from rural areas to reach the urban areas to inform them of the plights and great stories they experience. A UI to enable the scanning or uploading of electronic tabloids, similar to platforms like Squarespace would make it easier for non-techie users.

not very friendly site

not very friendly site. 15 issues for 11.99/month is not 15 newspapers per month. everytime your pick a different day, you are down one issue . the focus is terrible (on website), you cannot see the articles clearly (it seems it is designed for using the app on the phone) . it was a waste of USD 11.99
besides they do not have a cancellation option (only change or upgrade) you have to change to pay as you go to really cancel. so I did that (so hopefully it does not automatically renew after one month), and I just deleted the account. I'll check my bank statement in a month time. it was a waste of time and money.

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, our Select plan offers you 15 issues of your favorite publications, including newspapers and magazines. Each issue read is counted towards the 15 credits offered with this plan. For cancellations, you can either write to care@pressreader.com or set your subscription to pay as you go.

very painful experience

very painful experience. i am a new subscriber to the premium scheme. not only i have been charged 29.99 euros after the so called 1 first week at free charge but i was surprised that on the top of subscription i have been charged 56 times 3.99 euros within 2 days without any extra purchase done aside from reading Available (no extra charge mentioned) newspapers and magazines. contacted the support obviously after been charged the first day and been surprised they found charging my credit card 140 euros within a day normal. the next day after being charged an extra 75 euros, no more answers from support. This is a real SCAM

As we have been in touch via email, refunds for the single issue purchases were processed earlier in February. The problem appeared to be related to accessing back issues which were not offered during your trial.

Charges on My Account without Confirmation and Notification

Deep dissatisfaction with a recent experience on this platform. I am a new PressReader user and had just purchased a magazine. While reading, I noticed two previous issues displayed underneath the one I bought. Assuming these were merely previews, I clicked on them to view more details.
To my surprise, PressReader processed these clicks as purchases and charged my credit card without any confirmation or notification. I only became aware of these charges after reviewing my credit card statement. This practice is extremely misleading and has caused me significant concern.
I find this lack of transparency unacceptable and feel that the process is not conducted in an honest manner.
