A Frustrating and Misleading Experience

I’ve encountered numerous issues with this company’s questionable business model. First, it wasn’t made clear at the point of purchase that recipients of the gift must go through a lengthy process just to use it—providing personal details, creating accounts, and navigating several verification steps. This defeats the purpose of a “simple gift” and creates unnecessary hassle, especially for less tech-savvy users.
The value system itself is also poorly designed. Most users cannot spend the exact amount on the gift card—either leaving small sums unused or having to pay extra out of pocket. When you think about it, all those unspent bits of “change” across many users likely amount to a tidy profit for the company.
On top of that, the small print reveals frustrating restrictions. Some cards can’t be used for certain products, and in other cases, they’re valid only in physical stores rather than online—something you may discover only after it’s too late.
Customer service is another mixed bag. The chatbot is unhelpful unless you word your issue just right, and even when you manage to request a refund, expect delays of several days before seeing your money back.
And I have yet to mention the privacy issues with this company as it took very long time to close my account and get them confirmed they have deleted my private information from their data collection.
While the idea of sending groceries or essentials as a gift is commendable—particularly for those in need—this business model seems designed more to profit from confusion and leftover balances than to provide a smooth, user-friendly service. I would not recommend using it, especially for elderly or younger recipients. Sending money directly remains a much simpler and fairer alternative.

I wasted hours trying to login

I wasted hours trying to login, I wasn’t able too. I couldn’t login to my account because I have a new number and I can’t change to my new number because they send Security code to your number so you can login. The second attempt was successful

My first attempt to have a conversation about my issue with accessing my e-gift card was disappointing, hence the 4 stars. The second time I spoke to a customer agent - Heddah sorted out my issue very quickly. She understood my problem and was very quick at rectifying the issue. 5 stars ⭐️ for Heddah

I had an issue with a gift card that…

I had an issue with a gift card that would not open & the chat bot later informed me it was redeemed, although it hadn't. I was then referred to Habiba and within minutes I had been sent a new link with the card. Thank you so much for yor fantastic customer service.
