Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 104 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Customers frequently encountered unexpected and misleading charges, often related to mandatory insurance or additional fees not disclosed upfront, leading to significantly higher final costs than initially quoted. Many also reported poor customer service, including rude staff, long waiting times for shuttles, and difficulties with vehicle pickup, sometimes resulting in missed appointments. Furthermore, reviewers often found the rental locations inconveniently off-site and sometimes described the facilities as run-down or difficult to find. Concerns were also raised about vehicle condition, with some customers receiving dirty cars, vehicles with mechanical problems, or even roach infestations. However, some customers also noted positive experiences, particularly with the Toronto location. These reviewers highlighted helpful and quick service, including free upgrades and assistance with avoiding tolls, praising the staff for their friendly and efficient approach.

I definitely would not rent again

I definitely would not rent again. I rented from Priceline- full size suv- we got there after dark from airport, (I was giving me bad vibes) kept fishing in a bowl of keys then decided I didn't need full size but mid size which happened to have just come in and was still cleaning -- had to wait for cleaning then next am went to meeting and got back and glass had a crack from heat looked like from chip from the side of windshield-
$`1000 later not happy - I really don't think windshields on bottom of the line vehicles with no sensors are this much- just happened to be my deductible

Unethical and illegal business practices

Unethical and illegal business practices. They did a bait and switch by giving you a very cheap, then when you arrive your forced to pay 10x more. They will also lie to you about accepting your insurance and want to force you to use their insurance which cost more than the daily rental itself. Stay away

WORST car company I have ever dealt…

WORST car company I have ever dealt with period. Car stopped working after 5.5 days, they refused to send a replacement car, and said that it was my responsibility to get a tow and have insurance cover everything despite no evidence I had caused any damages. Now they're trying to get me to pony up for $7,000 for rodents chewing through wiring under the hood. !!!!!!! Absolutely zero proof or evidence this happened under my watch, but because it was while I was renting it, they're saying it's my responsibility to pay. Contesting it, but this is what you get for what you pay for with this place. Now they're harassing me with calls telling me I HAVE to meet all of these stupid deadlines on turning around paperwork after they took their SWEET time getting back to me on everything along the way. Terrible people, terrible service, terrible cars.

5 people were waiting for cars.

5 people were waiting for cars.
5 people surprised we were asked for proof of insurance.
Then I found out that there was a $45 after-hour drop off fee because they don’t open until 9:00 am in the morning and they were not open Memorial Day in the afternoon. So, while the price was good initially, I’m not sure I saved any money. And I had to pay for a Lyft ride to get back to the airport. When I called them to find out about the return policy, they said they emailed me some information while I was on the phone, but the email did not go through. Then the person said he didn’t have my email, so I asked, “how can you send me an email, and then tell me you don’t have my email?” He didn’t have a good answer. Then he said he sent a text to my phone while we were talking on my phone but that text never came through even though he had my number. So, make sure you drop the car off after 9:00 am or you will be paying an extra $45 PLUS the cost of a Lyft or Uber… Which means you end up paying about the same price as a regular rental car, without all the hassles incurred with Priceless/Next Car. And the return process is not fun either. They have a tiny sign telling you they are behind the main building. They could give you a simple map when you get the car. But they seem to only want a customer one time, creating “one-and-done” customers. I travel a lot. And this is the worst car rental experience from getting to the car rental place from LAX, to returning it and finding the place etc. Sadly, if they sent a short email confirmation with their requirments and a small map for the return process, they would eliminate 95% of the problems. But it is all about the price, not about customer service.

Priceless Car Rental is a RIP OFF

Rented offsite in Orlando. The check-in was like nothing I have ever experienced. They went out of their way to make it impossible NOT to purchase their protection plans. I usually use AmX because I have full rental coverage, they informed me they do not accept AmX. I have excellent car insurance for myself that would protect me while driving the rental 100%, I told them I had Safety Ins and they demanded to see a cover page - it took me 20 minutes to finally download a copy from my phone (seriously, who carries that info on them outside of your personal vehicle?) - only to be told they do not take Safety! The entire process was a nightmare and not to mention how rude the customer service people were or how filthy the location itself was, surrounded by a chain link fence - I felt very unsafe - DO NOT RENT FROM HERE IF PICKING UP AT NIGHT! It was a very bad experience, first and last time renting a vehicle from Priceless

My name is Susana

My name is Susana. I recently welcomed a friend who arrived from abroad; he had rented a car from Chile through the Priceline platform—specifically a sub-medium vehicle (a Toyota RAV or similar) for the period of April 1st to April 30th, at a cost of $200 USD, under confirmation number #PRPGP10646434. Subsequently, I went to the Priceless office located at 3994 NW 27th St, Miami, FL 33142. Upon my arrival, I was informed that I had to pay $469.00 for insurance—a cost that was not stipulated in the promotional offer—as well as a SunPass toll charge of $179.91, despite my having explicitly stated that I did not want the SunPass service or any other unnecessary additional charges. Ultimately, instead of the $200 USD price I was supposed to pay, they charged my credit card $843.00 USD, plus an additional $500.00 as a security deposit. My friend and I are sharing this information to help other people who need to rent a car, so that they may exercise caution. Furthermore—on top of everything else—I did not receive the vehicle I was entitled to, but rather a smaller one. Additionally, they charged an extra 4% fee for paying by credit card. I feel deceived due to a complete lack of transparency.

Deceptive Pricing, Unsafe Vehicle, No Gas, and Zero Accountability

DO NOT TRY THIS PLACE IF YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR YOU.
Deceptive Pricing, Unsafe Vehicle, No Gas, and Zero Accountability
I rarely write reviews, but after this experience, I feel obligated to warn every traveler planning to rent a car in Cancun. This is hands down the worst car rental experience of my life.
The Bait and Switch Pricing
I found this company through Priceline while booking my trip. The price shown was $84.98, clear, no warnings about additional fees at pickup. When I arrived at the rental counter in Cancun, I was hit with an additional $348.58 on top of what I had already paid, plus a security deposit of approximately $580 for a 4-day rental from April 16th to April 20th, 2026. That is nearly $930 total for a rental I thought cost $84.98, almost 11 times what was advertised. Nothing in my booking confirmation or on the Priceline listing mentioned any of this.
I pushed back, showed my confirmation, and questioned every charge. The staff was dismissive and unapologetic. After a long, exhausting argument at the counter, and tired from traveling with the resort over an hour away, I made the painful decision to just pay and deal with it later. No customer should ever be put in that position.
The Car Was Unsafe and Barely Had Any Gas
If the pricing deception was not bad enough, what happened next made everything worse. When I got into the car, I noticed the gas tank was almost empty. I had just been forced to pay nearly $930, and they could not even be bothered to fill the tank. Instead of heading straight to my resort after a long day of travel, I had to spend my first night in Cancun driving around looking for a gas station in an unfamiliar city.
And that was just the beginning. Once I got gas and started driving, I immediately noticed serious problems with the vehicle. The check engine light came on within minutes of leaving the lot. The car had dangerous stabilization issues — the steering felt unstable, and the ride was so rough I genuinely did not feel safe on the highway. This was not a minor inconvenience. This was a safety issue. They handed me a vehicle that should have been in a mechanic's shop, not on a rental lot.
They Were Unreachable and Then Refused a Refund
While driving that night, feeling unsafe and frustrated, I tried calling them to report the issues and arrange to return the vehicle. They told me they were already closed. A rental company that hands you a dangerous car and then becomes completely unreachable the moment you drive off the lot. I had no choice but to continue driving an unsafe vehicle with no support whatsoever.
First thing the next morning, I drove straight back to their location. I calmly explained that the vehicle was not roadworthy, did not meet basic advertised standards, and requested a refund. Their response was a flat refusal. No apology, no replacement vehicle offered, no acknowledgment that any of this was a problem. I had no choice but to leave the car with them and Uber myself back to my resort — paying even more money out of pocket.
Customer Service Made It Worse
When I contacted customer service looking for a resolution, I was told to wait until the charges were posted to my account before filing a formal complaint. So on top of everything else, the deceptive pricing, the empty gas tank, the unsafe vehicle, and the refused refund, I was also being made to wait just to begin the process of getting help. That is not customer service. That is a system designed to wear customers down.
Final Thoughts
This company advertises one price and charges another. They send customers off in vehicles that are unsafe and empty of gas. They become unreachable at night when you need help. They refuse refunds when their vehicles fail basic standards. And they make it difficult to even file a complaint.
If you are visiting Cancun, please book with someone who respects what they advertise and treats customers with basic dignity. I will be pursuing this through Priceline, my credit card company, and every consumer protection channel available to me. No traveler deserves this. 🚗❌

This company uses bait and switch…

This company uses bait and switch techniques, shame on Priceline for using them. When I finally got to the place from IAH via their HOTEL shuttle, I was greeted by 4 doors with a customer yelling at someone inside one of those doors, not realizing that over the next hour, I would be feeling their frustration as I got to speak to someone on a TV screen to give my name etc, show my ID, credit card etc. After politely declining anything additional ie: toll charges, prepaid fuel, insurance etc., I was asked to provide proof of insurance (NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I EVER BEEN ASKED FOR THIS WHEN I’VE RENTED A CAR)! I called my husband in CALIFORNIA and asked him to please take a snapshot of one of our insurance cards only to be told that they (the car rental company) needs the DECLARATION page from my policy (like we all carry that around in our back pocket, right?) Fortunately, my agent was still in his office since CA is two hours behind and was able to email the information to me! Problem solved, right? WRONG..now they want to charge me an additional $49 for their reservation department to verify my insurance!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Now she is cancelling my reservation because I’m pissed and I tell her that is a bait and switch tactic and she says that’s just how it is and we go back and forth and I finally tell her to do whatever and just give me the car and I will deal with my credit card company later. NOW she has to CANCEL my reservation because I told her I was going to dispute the charges (NOW YOU KNOW WHY THE OTHER COUPLE WAS YELLING, LOL). Called customer service, tell me to go back and touch the TV and someone new will come on the screen only to find out they cannot get my reservation back but they can get me a NEW RESERVATION for $20 more per day…when I tell them what they are doing is illegal, they tell me they cannot rent me a car because I told the previous person I would dispute the charges. My sister and I took an Uber!!

Avoid this place like the plague.

If I could give Priceless in Orlando 0 stars, I would.
We had a reservation. Booked on Expedia. It was quite a bit cheaper than other companies but I didn’t see the red flag.
At the airport, we called the number for their shuttle and we waited about 30-40 mins. No big deal. When we get to their lot, it’s super rundown and there’s maybe 10 cars there. RED FLAG. We go inside, and there’s a woman at the counter and she’s IRATE. Complaining about the car she had rented and how there was no working GPS and it shut off on her twice. RED FLAG. She angrily leaves and we get to the counter. We had paid upfront so all we had to do was check in and get our car…. Or so I thought. Turns out, they pretty much force you to purchase the toll pass - which was fine. We were told if we didn’t, they’d bill $40 per toll. So we signed up for that. Next they tell us we HAVE to get insurance. That our personal insurance won’t work and we HAVE to get insurance. We are kinda screwed at this point because we’re over 100 miles from our destination so we say ok. They total everything and tell us it’s $960!!!!
WHAT?!!!
Yeah - so they also put a $500 hold on your card for the length of your stay to cover damages…. AGAIN, WHAT?! They had just forced us to buy insurance.
At this point, I’m on my uber and Lyft apps looking for rides.
Luckily we found one and were able to get all our money back.
If you want to rent, DO NOT GO HERE. Both the woman helping us and the woman in the side office were shady as hell. Condescending- and they KNEW they were trying to rip us off. They even tried to tell us this was expedias fault when PRICELESS is absolutely responsible for the info they provided to Expedia. Priceless is hoping to hook people then once hooked, you’re screwed unless you get lucky and find an uber like we did.
Also, the car they were going to rent to us was the very same car the angry woman in front of us had just returned.
Spend more at a reputable place and avoid this place like the plague.

Horrible company! I got charged $18 on a $22 dollar economy car rental which made the total$40.16. Then the lady said i would be charged and extra $38 for more taxes when I return the car. Nobody can explain to me why my taxes was more than my rental!!!!
