Long reach digger hire
Alex made the hire of a long reach 30 tonne digger relatively easy. His help with insurance and advice gave us confidence to take on the task. The digger with a qualified driver friend did a fabulous job on our lake.
Alex was always available to assist during our hire and transport.

Hired a 13t long reach for 1 week. Very easy transaction with lots of help from Alex. If you want digger hire then you can't do much better that use these people.

Poor customer service.
We initially, order a digger with a breaker and two power barrows.
We paid a deposit, the digger arrived, one bucket was missing we had to travel 30min each way to collect a bucket, as they were unable to deliver the bucket.
We also, only received one power barrow, and had to chase them for the breaker.
After,we finished with the equipment, we received a notification a week later,that there was damage to the equipment and we would not being getting out deposit returned to us.
The drive collected the equipment and did not mention any damage to us.
We would not recommend this company, as its been a real bad experience from day one.
We have been in the building industry for 30 years and have never had issues with hire from any other company.
It would appear,that they sub hire the equipment from others (Brandon hire).

Initially a digger and two power barrows were ordered, but we didn't have one of them available which we told the customer at the time, before we processed the hire contract, so we sent one barrow with a digger. The customer was happy about this arrangement. We tried to arrange another power barrow for the customer, but others were out on hire. A bucket was accidentally missed off and as all the transport slots had been taken up that day, it had to be collected from the depot. There was an option given for delivery, but the customer said it was no trouble to collect it the same day from the depot nearby. The pecker was arranged after the hire of the digger and the tracked barrow, hence the separate delivery on that. With regards to the damage and in response to this review, we have delivery images and collection images and enough evidence to prove it was damaged by this customer. Since, we have retained the deposit and the customer has been requesting it back when we reserve the right to retain it in the event of something like this, as stated in our T&Cs.

From the first discussion, the experience has been excellent. Alex worked with me to find the best but also most economic solution for my crushing and garden landscaping work. The excavator, dumper and crusher were all in good repair - the rhino crusher only had done 35 hours! Great communications on pick-up and deliver. The icing on the cake was that my deposit was returned in record time. Well done Prime Plant Hire - first class. I will be back.

I recently used this company as I needed a micro digger at short notice and didn't really know what I looking for. Alex made the process very simple and stress free. The customer service is second to none. I would highly recommend this company.

Poor/incompetent Service Prime Plant Hire
Tried to hire a 10m scissor lift from this company and they delivered an 8m one. Spoke to the managing director (possibly a one man band) Alex and he said he could rectify it if we paid the transportation costs.
We requested a 10m scissor lift, paid for and was invoiced clearly for a 10m one and he said we had suggested we only needed an 8m scissor lift by asking for a 10m one as he assumed this would meet our working height requirements without asking us any questions.
Also not sure if they actually own any plant equipment as the equipment was actually provided through another hire company who told me it was an 8m scissor lift that was requested.
Cowboy comes to mind.

Hi Stuart,
I'm sorry to hear that you feel this way about our company.
Your company enquired about a scissor that would reach 10m. That is the scissor lift that was supplied (10m working height/8m platform height) but what became apparent after the machine was supplied to you is that you needed a 10m platform height/12m working height scissor.
First we received a message from your company, Primal Strength, to say there was no charger with it, so we delivered a standard 110v transformer and lead the same day to your company.
Standard 110v transformer and cable are not supplied as standard with these scissors, as majority of clients would have their own 110v transformer and lead and hire companies wouldn't hire these out with scissor lifts unless requested by the customer.
Your company requested for the scissor lift to be uplifted and replaced with a scissor lift that could reach higher. We offered to swap this machine on 27th December (day after boxing day, we were closed but offered this option to you) A response from your company wasn't received until 30th December. Your response was, that you would not accept any additional cost for an error that had nothing to do with you.
We explained that it would be an increased rate for a scissor that reaches a greater working height of 12m/platform height of 10m and there would be an additional delivery charge. Your company weren't willing to accept this, so an uplift was arranged.
Your company has now requested a full refund. The 10m working height scissor has been used as your worker was on it when we tried to collect and had been used, we sent out a transformer and lead same day, offered to collect the scissor and upgrade it for you, we feel we have gone above and beyond customer expections in this instance but all these extra things are additional costs our company has to charge on to the customer.
We also only charged a £150 refundable deposit with the hire, which has already been used up with all the additional charges for extra deliveries/accessories etc.
We would kindly ask you to remove the review from this platform as it is inaccurate and misleading and doesn't help your company Primal Strength, yourself as an individual and our company Prime plant hire.
