Recently bought a primus Primetech…

Recently bought a primus Primetech Stove with 2 off 2.3 l pots and 1off frying pan.

Now to make plain this is my fault BUT there was a reason for my confusion and I can't understand why Primus would sell this particular setup which out including this item.

The Stove setup was bought from a third party though the pictures and setups were the same on the primus website.

If you look at the primus Primetech 2.3 l sets that only sell the pots ( no frying pan) they all come with a plastic strainer lid.

The more expensive sets with the frying pan does, apparently NOT🤔😱🤔🤑.

It appears that primus deems the strainer lid to be an integral part of a pot based set, BUT you add a frying pan in there, WOW! What are you thinking ???? Why on earth would you need a strainer lid. They must have assumed that since you've bought a frying pan you won't be boiling anything up in those two pots you've bought!!!????
All that bacon and oily food you can make!!!
Anyway I wrongly assumed that the lid would be included BUT THEY ALSO INCLUDE AN ALUMINIUM HEAT SHIELD to put under the burner so that there is less chance of scorching the ground or whatever it stands on. Good !
However that is not listed anywhere as a included item.
Maybe it wasn't unreasonable of me to assume a plastic strainer lid would obviously be included with 2 off 2.3l pots???🤔.
You can buy a lid seperate for around 200 kronor from primus it's just the absolute lack of logic that peas me off.
Add a frying pan , take away a lid strainer for the pots.
JUST incomprehensible IMHO.
These designers are the ones we are trusting to keep us safe in the wilds.
With such logic behind the team, I'll buy something else.
And yes you can use a pan as as a lid but the coating on the pan isn't designed for this and it acts as bad strainer often with boiling water gushing out a unexpected angles with a risk of scolding.
Just bad thought and design or simply cheap practice by the company.

The end I hear you say even if you only read a line or two and never made it this far😄
Have a nice day and a nice trip the next time you're out👍

Overrated and overpriced

I do not find the quality of the Primus Kuchoma grill meets the manufacturer’s description. The catch to the lid is placed in an awkward position behind the handle and it requires two hands to operate it because it is a poor design. The grill plate is very poor quality, it does not conduct heat evenly and I expect it will distort after a few months. The legs are feeble and do not provide a sound base. I wish I’d purchased another make for a third of the cost.

Great products, AWFUL customer support

Great products, but TERRIBLE customer support since the Silva take over.

Previously excellent support in the UK, but recently new CS agents are rude, dismissive, and appear to care little to uphold Primus' reputation.

Sad to see.

Essential stove was great

Essential stove was great

I bought a Primus essential mimer stove and it worked great. I'm a city person and even I can figure out how to use it. No brainer really. The gas turner was easy to see, the negative (-) and positive (+). Just twist on to a Primus gas canister and that's it. It is small and powerful. Fits in a teacup. I bought it from a reseller in Sweden.
