They dragged it out for about 3 weeks

They dragged it out for about 3 weeks. I had to do a DBS check at my own expense, which they didn’t even look at. For days, they didn’t respond to my messages. When I asked them about the job location, they wouldn’t provide any information because it was strictly confidential. If I hadn’t pestered them via email, I probably wouldn’t have known that someone else had already filled the position I applied for.Definitely not recommended.

Must Read before booking......

On 27-Oct I hired a white Aston Martin Volante for my wedding day two months in advance (27-Dec-2014).

I paid deposit and received confirmation from unnamed but has been mentioned in a previous review, at Regency.co.uk that all had been booked.

I called mid December to check everything was in order, but nobody had heard of me despite the £100 deposit clearly being paid and an email from Regency confirming as such.

After two days of calling them, it was clear that they had no record of me. After a couple of days I then received another confirmation from Regency with my booking reference number, confirming that now I would expect a White Aston Martin Vantage.

On 26th December, boxing day, at 5pm the day before my wedding I get a call from [Name], who tells me there is a problem with the car - Apparently it had been sprayed so hard that the white wrap had been taken off, and it was left scratched, I asked if he had any other cars which he did not, he then sent me a photo of the car, which was now silver, and said that we may be able to hide the scratches with a ribbon. I said this was unacceptable to let me know at 5pm on boxing day when it is too late to make any other arrangements - his response was that it is not his problem, and he doesn't even work for Regency and has to drive all the way from Bristol (as though this is doing me a favour) so I can either 'take it or leave it' - As it is now 5pm on Boxing Day, and the alternative was to take a bus to my wedding, I had to accept the reduced fee for hiring the car.

The car turns up the next morning and it is disgusting - There are no ribbons in the world that would cover the marks left on the car - Again since I had no choice I had to take the car in the state it was, with the hope that photoshop might just save the day with photos, but this didn't prevent most of the 400 guests at my wedding ask what the hell that car was all about.

Then I emailed Regency after to say I was disgusted and that I wanted a refund only to be told 'I knew about the car and agreed to pay for it in the state it was' - which whilst is true, I didn't really have any option since the alternative on my wedding day would have been to catch a bus. They then told me that my contract was with Priority Hire Ltd and NOT Regency - which was brand new news to me, seeing as though my £100 deposit was clearly paid to Regency and I had an email from them confirming. Anyway I was in no mood to be past from pillar to post in their web of company names (others thrown into the mix were transportbrokergroup, and others which I cannot name as I don't have any evidence since it was advised verbally to me) - but I had no interest in following up why they had so many names, all I knew was that my contract for a White Aston Martin Volante, was with Regency - What turned up was a scratched, silver Aston Martin Vantage and that was only because I had to call to check on the car hire since my deposit money had been defrauded by someone at the Regency Group.

Anyway, I would like to post photos here but am unable to, but should anyone like to see the tragedy which was delivered to me (and I was charged for the privilege) please feel free to email me [Link] and I will forward you the photos and details.

**It is also worth mentioning that when I told Regency that would be posting a review, their response was to threaten me with legal action. I can corroborate all of the above info with emails etc and have proof.
