Stay away from Global Connect

Suddenly one day, road workers show up and start digging up our sidewalk. They are a contractor hired by Global Connect. Global Connect already has an underground fiber connection in the street that they want to expand. No resident on the street was informed about this excavation work. These road workers accidentally cut through my fiber connection, leaving me without internet. They apologize, but defend themselves by saying they did not have accurate drawings of the cables’ locations underground (the same explanation I received last autumn when they pushed a new fiber cable into the house because they couldn’t repair the old one). Now more than four days have passed and the cable still hasn’t been fixed. Global Connect says the case has been escalated and that an emergency team is supposedly working on it. However, Global Connect says the responsibility lies with their subcontractor, Transtema, since they are in charge of repairing the fiber connection. I cannot recommend that Global Connect expand your fiber network. Find another provider to install your fiber underground - one that does not work with Transtema.

Broken terrace tiles

Broke a terrace tile and never brought a substitute

Delay and disclose wrong information and damage our property

First we were told that we would get fiber in October 2022, and it had been pushed until March 2023. Globalconnect sent us email saying that Norlys has agreed with them so that they are one of the providers.

We signed up with Norlys and then found out that they haven't agreed anything with Globalconnect. Globalconnect said Norlys will start providing service in the second quarter of 2023, and now it is in the second quarter of 2023!

Also, Globalconnect damaged some of our tiles while digging and wrote to them a long time ago and they don't reply.

Thanks for a great conversation over Phone.
In regards to you wish to choose Norlys as your provider, the terms of our installation is as follows 60 days from the activation in the area which you shoud have recieved by mail at 15th of March.
Unfortunately it isn't possible to sign up for Norlys at this time, and you will receive a mail, when this is a possibility.
Since then you've chosen JetNet of which the order should be activated shortly.
When it comes to the reestablishment of the tiles, this is something we take serious and will do what we can to fix. It's not fixed of yet, but we're on it

What a joke: avoid if possible

What a joke! Fiber installed 2 days ago. When requesting the reason why internet does not work, Globalconnect is explaining that it will actually only be activated in 7 weeks, information not communicated before, leading people to change internet provider at wrong dates.

Very unprofessional company. No wonder why they are losing many contracts to their competitor.

We have tried to reach you by phone to explain the process of the installation, unfortunately it seems you’re not interested in engaging in a conversation with us based on your e-mail respond.
During the fiber installation, the first step is that we install the internal fiber box in the apartment. Now it may seem that the fiber connection is ready to use, but oftentimes we still need to get the external work done; excavation work / technical work /etc. This is a normal part of the process, which is why we never communicate otherwise, so I want to make clear that we are not leading people to change internet provider at a wrong date, as we are not interested in putting anyone in a situation where they are without an internet connection.

Furthermore, it emerged in our e-mail correspondence that the internet provider you picked already informed you about the date where the fiber connection is ready to use, so it is unclear to us that it appears in your review that you haven’t been informed about this date.

We are very sorry to hear that you aren’t happy with the installation so far, but it appears that it is based on a misunderstanding regarding our process. You are welcome to contact us if you have further questions.

Following a migration / scheduled…

Following a migration / scheduled maintenance I have been without internet for a week now and have not heard a single info mail from wizer or globalconnect who bought Wizer. Fortunately there is no support to be received in weekend.

First of all, we are very sorry to hear that you have been without internet for a week.
If you haven't already, we suggest that you contact your internet provider, Wizer, directly so they can look into the problem and make sure to fix it. According to my information Wizer should keep you updated on the situation.

Been waiting for weeks to get our fiber…

Been waiting for weeks to get our fiber connected. Been told numerous times a technician is sorting it. Still nothing! I have to call to find out every week and never a call back. Terrible !!
