Darry was an incredible partner on this whole journey. She has such an impressive wealth of knowledge and skills. Combine this with her warm, caring and fun personality and you have the perfect midwife for us!

The coordination with PMI was very smooth and all questions and matters were looked after swiftly.

If I had a magic wand, I’d wish for this level of personalized care for anyone expecting a baby!

Only improvement suggestion I have, would be to have a first check in with your midwife during the early stages of the second trimester. As a first time mum that would have helped to navigate that time even better.

After seeing an Osteopath with my 7 week old baby girl and having a posterior tongue tie confirmed we booked in with Sharon at abshot osteopathy via the Facebook page.
Communication was prompt and we were booked in. Once we arrived at the appointment Sharon made sure to explain everything and make sure that I was well informed about the tongue tie division. She got me to record her showing the exercises which was so helpful for afterwards! Her knowledge was amazing and I felt like I was in safe hands from the get go, she really knows what she’s talking about and gets straight to the point. No faffing about, she was great.
We’re 2.5 weeks on from the division now and baby girl is doing great! It’s made such a difference to her feeding and wind, she’s definitely more comfortable now. Her tongue is poking out further and further each day! Thankyou Sharon, would highly recommend!

My private midwife, Becky, supported me through what would usually be a very stressful and overwhelming time with a newborn. Her constant availability and reassuring advice made all the difference. Each visit was incredibly educational—not only did she weigh our baby and check in on his health, but she also helped us with bath times, addressed skin condition concerns, and guided us through the challenges we faced with feeding.

Becky also provided practical suggestions for soothing our baby during those difficult early hours when nothing seemed to work. During her visits to our home, we never felt rushed. Her care was warm, professional, and truly 5-star. I can’t thank her enough for the support she gave our family during those early weeks.

We cannot thank Sharon enough for her knowledge and care she had for our baby girl! Thanks a mill! Would recomment anyone, even if it‘s just a consultation or you are unsure.

Emma was absolutely fantastic and simply a joy to have around as a post-natal midwife. She brought an exceptionally warm, positive and encouraging attitude, which is so comforting and uplifting especially in those first weeks with a first newborn. She clearly cared deeply both about baby and mom, and she was only ever a quick WhatsApp away for when we needed some advice. It was the best decision to have her cover us.

At 36 weeks I was a very late booker.
Private midwives Bev and Keri made my experience so very relaxing and personal. Thanks to their help I was seen as an individual and not a statistic during my labour. My waters broke 4 days before delivery, and I can't express how amazing it was to not need to be concerned with going to and from the hospital, being able to avoid talks of induction and just be trusted to do what I need to whilst also being highly cared for in the process. My birth was spectacular, thank you for your contributions and care during such a personal and transformational time.

Exceptional service from Heather, she was soooo knowledgeable and friendly and really made us feel at ease about having our son’s tongue tie procedure. She gave us such good advice on after care and explained each step of the process so we knew exactly what to expect. What a lovely lady. Thank you so much!

Danielle was amazing! I could not have asked for a better experience. Always there on the end of the phone, checking in and the birth was all I wanted. After having a negative experience with my first baby, I wanted to make sure I had continuity of care and to know somebody would definitely be there for the birth- staff was so low last time, there was 5 births and 2 midwives so I felt let down. A great experience this time, would highly recommend. Thank you so much!

The midwife assigned to us was calm, took her time to explain all that the procedure entails and did all the necessary assessments before carrying out the procedure, she made us more comfortable and we were glad to have her

We had Heather come out to fix baby’s tongue tie. We was unaware of how severe the tongue tie was as previously seen a lactation consultant who told us it wasn’t that bad but I knew something wasn’t right with LO and Heather confirmed this and showed us the tie which was rated 2/14 being very severe. Heather was lovely, she explained everything as to why LO was having so many problems as he had really tight facial muscles due to compensating for the tie, she showed us exercises and massages to relieve the tension and even let us record so we had a video to follow to do massages and exercises correctly for bubba. Was the best £200 spent would highly recommend this company, saved our baby’s feeding issues.

Hayley completed a tongue tie procedure on our three week old. She was so professional, knowledgeable and put us at ease quickly. She was understanding about my anticipation, patient and so gentle towards our baby. Highly recommend Hayley! Thank you so much- she latched on within 24 hours with the support of a nipple shield. No issues and healed quickly!

we had victoria come out for my little boys tongue tie… oh my gosh we ADORED her! felt like we had been friends for years! made me so comfortable. no only that, she was extremely informed, intelligent, and genuinely cared! and she went above and beyond for our son, not just the tongue tie but addressed any of our other concerns regarding his health and pointed us in the right direction, i’ve never had a medical professional be so amazing in my life! i will definitely use this service again for my son (if needed) but DEFINITELY in my next pregnancy. professional, kind, comforting, funny and just awesome. can’t recommend these guys enough! will be recommending to all of my friends who are expecting or planning to soon! thank you private midwives (especially victoria) for such an amazing experience xx

From the very beginning, Ali made us feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for. Her passion for her work shines through in everything she does—she’s knowledgeable, attentive, gentle and always made herself available to answer questions or offer reassurance.

What stood out most was her respectful and thoughtful approach to our religious and personal preferences. It meant so much to feel seen and understood without ever needing to explain or justify anything. Ali’s kindness, warmth, and professionalism made the whole experience deeply positive and empowering.
We also had a NIPE exam by Remi who has such gentle hands and alot of patience. Thank you, Remi.

I booked Private Midwives Ireland for my third baby, born a few weeks ago. From the initial enquiry right though to our last visit with Darry, the service and support was incredible. I knew I wanted a homebirth and when we met the amazing Darry, I just felt so at ease and aligned in approach to birth. She really listened and understood my past experiences and what I was hoping for birth this time. She was incredible in supporting me navigate a GD diagnosis which I thankfully controlled with diet. In the weeks leading up to birth, she shared in our excitement and also calmed any nerves and fears. When the night of labour started, she was absolutely incredible, quietly supporting and doing some amazing counter pressure but with an eagle eye ready to jump into action mode if it was required. Our beautiful boy was born into the pool and what an amazing experience it was. We then had 10 beautiful days of support postnatally in our newborn bubble as we adjusted to life as a family of 5.

I truly cannot recommend PMI enough, not only from the midwifery aspect, but even every email and phone call communication was so positive and lovely. Thank you all but especially Darry!

I can’t thank Danielle Heselton enough for the incredible support she gave me throughout my pregnancy, especially as I was feeling a bit anxious about the postnatal period. From the very start, she made me feel completely at ease her warmth, positivity, and extensive knowledge made such a difference during this important time.

She guided me through labour with so much care and reassurance, helping me feel comfortable, confident, and in control. Each session was thoughtfully tailored to what we wanted to cover, which gave us both flexibility and a sense that our journey was truly personal.

I always walked away from our appointments feeling even more excited about meeting our baby, her positive energy was contagious, and she was a constant source of encouragement. I feel very lucky to have had her support and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to any expecting parents.

Ruth Taylor- Anderson - I contacted Ruth on Thursday after a recommendation from a breastfeeding support group, she called me back very quickly and booked in to see my son the next day. Ruth was personable, made me feel at ease straightaway and provided us with all the information we needed to make an informed decision without feeling overwhelmed.

Ruth explained what was found during the assessment for tongue tie, what to expect from the procedure and the aftercare. The procedure itself was very quick, which put me at ease. Ruth supported me with feeding afterwards and settling my son.

Ruth went though aftercare with me to make sure I was comfortable with what was needed afterwards. She was on hand after she left to answer my many questions (first time mum) and provide reassurance that I was doing everything correctly. She followed up the next day to make sure we were doing ok too.

I would highly recommend Ruth, she made this whole experience relaxed, stress free and has provided excellent aftercare. She is fabulous!

We had Heather Berry visit our home the day after we had requested an appointment to help with our baby’s latch. She was on time and very quick to get the issue sorted.

It turns out our baby had a severe tongue tie which was corrected during the session. Heather also helped with proper latching positions, and took the time to ask lots of questions around our feeding, and offered advice for feeding management moving forward.

Happy to say without a couple of weeks, our baby was back up to birth weight and the latching was no longer an issue.

Great service and would definitely recommend again!

I first spoke with Emma Lawless when I was 6 weeks pregnant and instantly knew she was the right midwife for me. I’m a very anxious patient, so needed someone who could advocate for me and provide calm, consistent reassurance - and Em did exactly that. She supported us right through to 8 weeks postpartum, and choosing to work with her was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

From day one, she felt like our fairy godmother - warm, calm, and incredibly knowledgeable. We laughed a lot, and her steady, reassuring presence made the whole journey not only manageable, but actually enjoyable. As someone who struggles with anxiety and an array of pregnancy symptoms, that meant the world. She was always at the end of the phone and responded to every question or concern with care, compassion and clarity.

Although I ultimately had a planned c-section with the NHS due to my baby being breech, I felt fully informed and emotionally prepared long before it was even discussed by the NHS team. Em had spotted the likely positioning issue early on during our visits, so I was able to mentally prepare myself for that outcome well in advance. By 36 weeks, the NHS still hadn’t mentioned a section - but thanks to Em’s attention to detail and forward-thinking care, I wasn’t caught off guard and was able to bring this up myself during one of my consultations.

On the day itself, she was right there with us - sitting with us in hospital and walking us to theatre. Although she wasn't allowed to be there for the delivery, she supported me, advocated for me and helped me feel confident enough to advocate for myself.

Em had a hugely positive impact on both my mental health and my confidence, not just during pregnancy but in those intense early weeks postpartum. We had initially booked two weeks of postnatal care but ended up extending because of how valuable her support was. I genuinely don’t know what we would have done without her.

She equipped us with so much knowledge and helped us feel confident as we navigated the early days of parenthood. If we’re lucky enough to have another baby, we’ll be booking her again without hesitation.

From the beginning everyone I have spoken to had recommended Jayne to me describing her as amazing, and I’m so glad I listened! Jayne has been absolutely amazing from start to finish. From the very first message, Jayne was so attentive and had so much wisdom and advice which really helped me to continue my breastfeeding journey in the lead up to the division. Jayne explored every single option and made sure nothing was missed. She is a wonder of a woman and on the day of the procedure she was thorough, helpful and so supportive. The aftercare check ins make the experience so much more personal and I am so so pleased we opted to use her. This woman has quite literally changed our lives! Absolutely one hundred percent recommend to anyone 🩷

This is our second time using Private Midwives. We initially chose Sally for our homebirth back in 2023 and we had such a wonderful experience and built such a special bond with Sally that we knew we had to have her again for our 2nd home birth.
We could not be more pleased with both of our experiences with Sally.
Sally is genuinely caring and really takes the time to listen and get to know you as a family, really understanding the wishes for your birth.
She treated our birth preferences with the utmost respect at all times! I know I wouldn’t have had the same experience without her or been able to have a natural birth had I been in a hospital. Sally always had such faith in me and also in natural physiological birth plus the experience to match. I couldn’t have felt in safer hands.
We felt that Sally really went the extra mile for us with so many little touches that weren’t included in the package, that she really didn’t have to do.
Seeing her 2 years in, involving our first born daughter at the prenatal visits & post birth care has been so heart warming. She has become just like family to us and we were so sad when our care came to an end, but thankfully we keep in touch with her regularly. We couldn’t speak highly enough of Sally and would absolutely recommend her to anyone.
