Seeing Emma was such a delight. She is caring, sweet, extremely knowledgeable and has made our bumpy journey so much easier. She quickly became part of our family and it was sad to say goodbye! Thank you for everything.

Sally was so lovely, she came to our house for the assessment and procedure. This was a lovely change as me and my daughter had been here there and everywhere for appointments due to her weightless with her tongue tie.

I did not feel like a patient or client it all felt very personal to me and my family. Everything was explained very well and we were put at ease throughout.

The support after was amazing too. Open WhatsApp communication and check ups even weeks after the procedure.

I was able to get an appt for a tongue tie assessment really quickly and easily. Anika came to our house which helped massively with a newborn so we didn’t have to travel. Anika was really caring in her approach, really thorough with her questions before performing the assessment, and explained everything in detail. My son did have a tongue tie so she performed the division there and then and took me through all of the exercises we’d need to do post-division and things to look out for. It went really well and my son is now feeding so much better and his symptoms have improved massively! Thank you!!

Private Midwives was the best decision. Something that stood out to me was the level of support and personal connection I shared with my midwife Julia. Julia made this experience such a positive one and as a first time mum she was such a calming presence. From the initial meeting until the last the entire team was responsive and professional. I highly recommend PM if you’d like to have a physiological & positive birth experience

We struggled to conceive and when we did, it was such a scary time during the first 12 weeks which is why we decided to get an independent midwife. Angie was there with us every step of the way, any problem or query I had I’ve messaged Angie and she’s put my mind at ease straight away. Everytime she has visited, I’ve felt super positive even with the recent breastfeeding challenges, I nearly gave up but Angie put my mind at ease, gave some really helpful tips and now I’m really enjoying it.

Angie has not just been a midwife but also felt like a friend which is really nice to feel so comfortable around someone when you’re at your most vulnerable. She not only looked after me but also put my husband’s mind at ease whenever he had any worries. We can’t thank Angie enough and we would love to have her around to support us for no 2 whenever that may be.

Ann was my midwife for both my home births (January 2021 and January 2025). I cannot thank her, and the company, enough for how empowered I felt each time. From the very first phone call, to the final hug when we were discharged, everything was aimed at making my birthing experience the best it could be. And, it was. Ann was so reassuring of my birthing capabilities, and passed her confidence in this to me and my husband. The personalised care provided by Private Midwives Ireland is second to none. I loved having my older children present at my antenatal checks, they were thrilled at hearing the heartbeat on the doppler and knowing that I wouldn't be leaving them to go to the hospital was so helpful to creating a calmness in me. They slept soundly while I laboured and woke to a new baby brother which was very special. The follow up care was excellent both times. I tell everyone I can how amazing my 2 home births were, and recommend that everyone consider a home birth. This is thanks to the superb care I received from Ann. Her constant reassurance empowered me to have the birth I never thought possible- twice over. For anyone considering using Private Midwives for a home birth, go for it. You will not regret it, in fact, you will very possibly become someone who loved giving birth!

Sharon was very knowledgeable, kind and skilled. All went very smoothly with my LO's division and we are now on track with breastfeeding. With the current state of the NHS feeding support I am so grateful to have had the means to use private midwives.

Emma Lawless made this experience so worth it! She is experienced with over 10 years of work in this industry and made us feel so taken care of and loved. She has a maternal instinct, from raising her own babies, and so much knowledge and practical advice that helped us tremendously during our time with her. I had the most incredible home birth experience, and I owe it all to my amazing midwife, Emma. From the very beginning of my pregnancy journey eith her, she provided the most personalised and compassionate care, visiting me every week in the comfort of my own home. She truly took the time to get to know me, listening intently to everything I was experiencing and guiding me with such wisdom and kindness.

Emma respected and honoured my birth preferences with such dedication, ensuring I felt safe, empowered, and fully supported every step of the way. Her presence during my labour and birth was nothing short of extraordinary—she was calm, nurturing, and endlessly encouraging, making me feel completely cared for in the most beautiful way and very quick with no pain relief.

The support didn’t stop there. Choosing to have postnatal care with Emma for a month was the best decision I made. She continued to check on my health, guide me through breastfeeding, and ensure both my baby girl and I were well. Her warmth, patience, and unwavering support made such a difference in my recovery and confidence as a new mother.

I feel incredibly lucky to have had Emma by my side throughout this journey. She is not just a midwife—she is a true mother. My experience with private midwifes was amazing! Tess was such a caring and knowledgable person and having her support helped us immensely throughout the first weeks.

After a difficult first birth on the NHS, Emma was a complete game changer. She was so warm and caring throughout the antenatal period and respected all my choices and past experience. Through her support and advice I was able to have an incredibly positive birth, feeling safe and comfortable the whole time. It was also wonderful to have Emma supporting us postnataly with breastfeeding and all round reassurance and support. Couldn't have had a better experience overall!

Couldn’t recommend Private Midwives Ireland enough. My experience with both my home births was second to none and my midwife Ann was soo good to us that we feel as though she is part of the family.

Had an amazing experience with Private Midwife Sally, she was so positive, welcoming, and professional. Our little girl recovered beautifully from her tongue tie snip at 2 weeks and is feeding great! Sallys care after the treatment was impeccable and I can’t recommend her enough!

Our midwife, Emma, was truly incredible. One of the most dedicated and compassionate midwives (or any medical practitioner for that matter!) you'll ever meet.

During our first interaction, Emma instantly put me at ease - such a warm and friendly disposition. This was particularly important as we had experienced a traumatic birth and miscarriage with previous pregnancies. Due to our own personal experiences, we felt private healthcare was the way forward and to be under the care of someone empathetic whilst I navigated my anxiety.

Our journey together started in early pregnancy. Emma was by our side from then on. The continuity of care we received from Emma had such a positive impact on how we navigated each step. I really looked forward to my antenatal home visits, always enjoyed our chats and the voice messages Emma would send. Her positive encouragement never waivered; she helped instil a level of self-belief and confidence in me that I will always be grateful for. We built a wonderful relationship of trust. Ultimately leading to what was a beautiful home birth with my husband and Emma by my side. We welcomed into the world our healthy beautiful baby daughter.

Absolutely amazing care i received from private midwifes, I first spoke with trish and she listened and understood my concerns from "hospital care" and she really put my mind at ease and ensured I spoke to my midwife as soon as possible as I was a late referral. (thank you trish!!)
My Midwife was Kay
And the care provided by kay was amazing!

On the 6th of March I welcomed my baby boy to the world by emergency c section!
I did not get my home birth kay stayed with me throughout the labour and did not leave until she had seen me and my little elliot! She truly is an amazing midwife and I will never forget the care and support she gave me and to my family!!

My aftercare was also with kay but also with remi!

I had met remi previously as she had delivered my brother, and she's just how I remember her, she is so friendly and reassuring she to is a fantastic midwife.
All of my worries were answered and I felt understood during this experience

Cannot recommend Sally enough. Sally came and snipped our son’s posterior tongue tie for him. Sally was very knowledgeable and was very happy to answer all of our questions. Sally is also very warm and caring and understood our nervousness as parents. She really put us at ease ahead of the procedure and as a result we now have a baby with much better tongue movement. Thank you Sally!

We had suspicions my daughter had a tongue tie and at 8 weeks and this made her too old to receive treatment at our local hospital in West Suffolk. We made an enquiry on the Thursday, received a phone call Friday morning and a midwife came out to our home on Sunday. All information was sent through to us to read through prior to our appointment and the midwife, Ruth, went through everything with us before any assessment was done. My daughter had a thorough assessment and then the procedure was extremely straight forward. The midwife was so brilliant, extremely kind and conscientious throughout. She even checked in with us a few days later to make sure all aftercare was going OK so I really felt there was so much care and attention given to us throughout. For the price we paid I could not reccommend this company enough

It was nice not having to leave home to attend midwifery appointments. Private Midwives.com came to my home which for me was the best part especially as I have a toddler.
The team communicated well with me, each other and my hospital as needed. They were always positive and honest with me. They made me feel important and reminded me that my body can be trusted to do what it knows how to do.

I really enjoyed my home birth journey.
