Not all techs know how to fix things

Needed dishwasher repair. Tech was not competent . Did not know how to pull the dishwasher our for repair. Quit and said he couldn't do it whereas I had this dishwasher pulled out 2 previous times. He seemed mostly concerned to get the service call which made me think this company is more concerned with the service call money than actually doing the repair. I do not recommend them. I am not out $79 for a service call that did nothing. The tech appeared unprepared for this service and drove up in a beat up old car and a small bag of tools. I will dispute this charge.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. The technician did not honor the schedule, came late. Brought another person who sat in the car. Dressed unprofessional. On phone most of the time. Just cleaned the washing machine and charged me $239. The appliance is giving the same error codes. We showed this to another technician and he confirmed that this machine cannot be repaired!!! When called Frontdoor, they do not consider refunds even when asked for 50% of the charges. We decided to haul away and buy new machine. I wasted my money and waste of three hours. Further water leased to downstairs damaging the property.

Wasted day waiting for someone to show up.
Called two hours after the time was scheduled.
They told me that the technician was at a far distance from my house and couldn’t come today. They wanted me to reschedule. I guess this is the new standard for this company.

Horrible experience with this company

Horrible experience with this company. Got a $50 voucher from our home warranty (American Home Shield) to get our dryer vent cleaned. The service itself went well until the invoice came through. The technician told us one price which we then paid. It was a very unprofessional way of being notified: a three way call with tech and customer service about how he needed the money in his account, etc. And then the following day they changed the invoice price, and they spammed me via email, text, and calls. Asking for an extra $50. We called to figure out what was going on, and got no help. Overpriced and unprofessional service.

Do not Trust this company.

Do not Trust this company.

I booked a 2 room carpet cleaning special for $69. The guy came in to see the room. He was very unprofessional and didn't even remove his dirty shoe. He looked at the 2 rooms and said it will cost $250. I said i booked for $69 special. He said, the carpet is dirty and he cannot do it for $69. Why will I call carpet cleaning if it is not dirty? He said thank you and i shut the door.

Very unprofessional company and crew.

I also spoke to their customer service. The lady on the line said it is $69.99 for normal carpet cleaning. The professional visiting the home can see the condition of the carpet and give an estimate. Essentially confirming bait & switch, deceptive business practice. Do not book this company or do it at your own risk. I booked for $69 and was about to get charged for $250...

I wanted to give ZERO star rating.

very fault advertisement

Sound too good to be true usually never true. this is a perfect case. The technician showed up and looked at the two room, two small room, 100sqf and 120sqf, and half of the room is occupied with furniture. He's then punching on his phone and turn around told me its $280 to do the job. I question and said I got an email stated that its Special offer details: $69 - 2 Room Carpet Cleaning. He said to do that $69 is like not do anything at all. I then ask would you use any soap then he said with his heavy duty equipment, he need to use chemical that work with the equipment and the $69 is wasted his time. therefore, he would not perform the job and I wasn't willing to pay the $280.
so conclusion, be aware of those sound too good to be true advertisement or else you would wasted your time.

I had an American Home Shield warranty…

I had an American Home Shield warranty and my furnace went out. The initially said they would replace the part but then the HVAC co said a furnace replacement was approved. The contractor asked if I wanted to upgrad and I asked how much it would be and they said $5.2K. It turned out this was the total cost and I didnt receive any reimbursement for the furnace until I used an attorney. AHS and Frontdoor did everything they could to avoid even paying one $.Very unethical, wouldn't provide mailing address of co, refused registered letter. Took months to get $1,045 of $5,200.

FRONTDOOR PRO/POWERPAY

Never in my life have I dealt with such an awful company. No communication, they only accept their own loan company (PowerPay) which is 10 times worse than Frontdoor Pro, and they expect the contractor to contact PowerPay instead of speaking with the homeowner. This company is a sister company of American Home Shield, so buyer beware. Don't use either one. They do a lot of false advertising.

I had a refrigerator repair scheduled…

I had a refrigerator repair scheduled with a time frame of 9-11 AM. No one showed up within the time frame so I went online to cancel as I did not have time to wait around and had not been notified of anything. I called to ask why I was not informed of a technician possibly running late and the person on the phone was not able to tell me why I was not informed and said that we could reschedule. I will not be rescheduling with a company who has already wasted 2 hours of my time when I could have used someone else and had it taken care of already.

Don’t trust them

Don’t trust them. They make their money of diagnosing and pricing the repair high so you don’t go with them. I hired them because my dishwasher wasn’t draining the water. “Repairman” in less then 5 min said it would start at $350 so we passed on getting it repaired. That night my mom who has no experience unbent the pipe and fixed the issue of the water not draining. I reported this issue with Frontdoor and they apologized but said they don’t issue refunds.

Stay away from Frontdoor PRO!!

Frondoor was contracted by Home Depot to come out and fix a backed-up dishwasher that was covered by warranty. They sent two men to my home who had no idea what they were doing and tried to "you-tube" how to fix a clogged pipe. They told me they were subcontractors and this was only their 4th job they had been on. They wanted me to agree via email to pay $276 to replace a clogged hose when this was covered under warranty. When I told them it was covered by warranty, they said it didnt matter. I refuse to pay and they left. I called Frontdoor and spoke to Angela and her supervisor who both told me I needed to pay$99 or I would be sent to collection! I have never experienced such rude customer service from a manager. They did not care that I did not make the appt and their contractors were incompetent. When I asked to speak to a district or area manager I was told they do not exist and hung up on. I want to note, Home Depot reached out to them as well and told them to stop contacting me. The reason? "Tell her to pay the $99 she owes."

DO NOT USE >>>>Honest is the wrong word…

DO NOT USE >>>>Honest is the wrong word you can say about this company which also is known thru google search as FRONTDOOR PRO!!After extensive search to make sure my review and my experience is read out loud.
The APP claimed by the company is trash, and gave us window 8 am to 10 am Saturday, tech would call in morning before showing up. He just shows up!!! A trip is 79.99 which is applied towards the repairs only if I refuse the written estimate which NOT presented after looking at the problem. He just turned on the valve under the sink. NO written estimate was provided or given verbally and was just told to sign on his phone. There was no problem, he said only the main water valve was shut off. A plumbing company who did some major repairs to my house forgot to open the valve. The tech is more interested of our living habits of cleanliness' and questioning what I paid for kitchen counter and then gave me his phone again for payment payment of $ 166.57. At that time I questioned him as why am I being charged so much, just to turn on the valve. He says, works for company and that is the charge which I have to pay, which I did. A estimate was not provided, this such a RIP OFF company. I would never recommend or even use for any service. ZERO HONESTY..............

please stay away

please stay away. We had a warranty and they demanded $250 for a 5 min replacement of dishwasher hose. They sent 2 technicians who tried to you-tube how to fix it. Abby, the manager, demanded the money (even though it was not fixed and I had a warranty). They sent over 6 texts/messages in 3 hours demanding payment. There was to be no exchange of money as GE set the appt up as it was covered by the warranty.

Just moved into this house

Just moved into this house. EVERY claim I have made on the pool, (which is included in my contract) has been rejected due to it being a "PRE-EXISTING CONDITION". WHAT A JOKE.... it is not pre-existing to me, I JUST MOVED HERE. This contract isn't worth the paper it was written on.

Terrible company

They came out and said my washer was fixed but as soon as they left I discovered it was not. Called them and they made a return appointment but they had to cancel due to holiday they did not take into account. Than they said they had ordered a part that would not be in for several days. Not sure how they knew what part to order since they had not made the second appointment. At that time I decided to not let them come back. I do not like people who lie. This company is not reliable. They refuse to refund my money. My washer still is not fixed.

Confused by these reviews

Confused by these reviews? I’ve never used this company and never will because there is so much information on the web and social media. But my question is why are technicians coming to people’s homes when they advertise fixing the problem via video. S h i t support your local businesses first instead of paying the ridiculous prices I see in the reviews. Just sayin

Insanely overpriced

The only reason I am giving this company 2 stars is because of how easy the booking process was online and how quickly they were able to come out to my home. There was a $79 diagnostic fee, but it would be deducted from the repair cost if we decided to proceed with the repair.

Prior to contacting them online, I already knew what was wrong with my dryer. The tech arrived almost an hour late, but I totally understand that earlier appointments took longer, etc. I shared what I thought to be the issue with him once he arrived.

He looked at the dryer for less than 5 minutes, never used the multimeter to test continuity or anything. Then told me I was right, the heating element needed to be replaced. He then quoted us $275 for the part and $120 for his labor- a total of $395. We declined the repair, because that price was insane. We could have purchased a brand new dryer for that price.

Thanks to YouTube and Amazon, I was able to replace the heating element on my own for less than $30. Granted, the labor was a bit more than I had anticipated. But, they were trying to charge us almost ten times what I paid for the actual part.

Their website says affordable, reasonable prices. We were expecting a little bit of a up charge, that's typical. But holy cow. Couldn't be more wrong. Would not recommend this company.

Bosch dishwasher stopped working

Bosch dishwasher stopped working. Tech pulled it out of the counter. said the pump motor was not shutting off. he drained it, ran a cycle and pronounced it cleared. "What was wrong with it?" "I don't know." It ran one more time and on the second load it dumped water all over our wood laminate floor. I pulled it out and replaced it. they charged me for a $253 repair while making no diagnosis nor changing any parts. I tried to get them to reduce the charge to the $79 diagnostic charge. No dice.
