I would give it zero stars if I could

I would give it a zero if I could. I never want to take another exam with them. Thank God it was my final exam for my final term for my BA degree. She took almost a hour making me show her my area and asking the same questions over and over. Mind you this is for an open book and note exam. I was also disconnected and then had to do it all over with the same person. She was so slow almost like it was on purpose or she was not paying attention. She also had a weird request to close my curtains that were 20 feet away. She then made me show her that I unplugged my printer like 4 times. By the time I got to my essay test I was checked out. On my last essay question I got disconnected. When the connection came back I was so paranoid that I will lose the connection and lose my work that I just clicked submit. I haven’t gotten my grade yet as this happened today but I am 100 percent certain I would have done much better had I not been subjected to this.

ProctorU got me fired from my job

I scheduled my test at 11:50 and didn’t even take it until like 2:00. They took control of my computer and clicked random buttons and looked at my search history without my consent before shutting it off I couldn’t even take control of it back. I rotated through at least 5 agents, all of whom spoke very broken English and made the process very difficult. When I finally got in my test, the guy kept asking me to tilt my screen down every 5 seconds even though my full head was on the frame and you could literally see me holding a pen writing. I was mad enough that I didn’t finish my test until 5, but in the end it didn’t matter because I got fired from my job since I had a shift at 4 that I SPECIFICALLY wanted to prepare for by scheduling my test 4 hours in advance. If you think taking a class online is easier please reconsider, getting a c in an in-person class is infinitely better than the mental turmoil you will experience with proctor-u.

Shady Test Cancellation

I find in unbelievable that I cannot get refunded. Your employees detected my VPN as an "Unauthorized Application" and cancelled my test (the VPN was not even running). Even after your staff concluded I do not have an "Unauthorized Application", and it was a faulty notice, you still chose to withhold any refund or rescheduling. The lack of assistance leads me to believe this business is malicious and shady by nature and my institution has been notified of your indiscretions.

Software is awful, staff unhelpful

Twice now I have had to reschedule tests because nothing would connect. I could only get as far as a precheck before the proctors were resetting my system and I had to start the whole process over again. It's been an hour at this point and now I'm trying to get a hold of someone to reschedule my test.

I am writing to share my…

I am writing to share my dissatisfaction with my recent experience using ProctorU. It took nearly two hours to begin my exam due to continuous software updates and a platform that was not user-friendly. This delay added considerable stress and impacted my ability to focus on the test itself.
Additionally, I was passed between multiple technical support representatives over the phone, and communication was difficult due to strong language barriers. I strongly urge ProctorU to improve both the responsiveness and accessibility of their support team—especially during critical testing periods.
This situation was incredibly frustrating and unacceptable for a service meant to support serious academic assessments.

This is by far the worst lockdown…

This is by far the worst lockdown browser I’ve ever used. While scheduling a test is quick and easy, actually taking the test is a completely different story. On the day of your exam, be prepared for frustrating delays. It can take up to an hour just to get started.

You’re forced to go through a long list of unnecessary steps just to satisfy the proctor. Even after showing your room and proving no one else is present, you're still questioned—and heaven forbid you read the questions out loud to yourself. You’ll likely find yourself arguing about basic things instead of focusing on the test.

I’ve used other lockdown browsers before, and they were straightforward. They locked down your computer, recorded your environment, and let the instructor review it later. Simple and efficient. This system, on the other hand, wastes your time, drains your focus, and adds unnecessary stress.

To make things worse, they take remote control of your mouse and system settings—something that’s completely unnecessary for a secure testing experience. Overall, the program is poorly designed, overly invasive, and makes what should be a simple process incredibly frustrating.

Total crap

Total crap. It took 4 hours to get a proctor to connect because they were understaffed. The one they had was borderline rude and spoke horrible English. The whole system is trash.

Proctor interrupting you without any valid reason

I took my exam online using their platform. It was my first time so I had a technician help me navigate through it. I had 2 proctors the first one was helpful but the second one got me mad. I had 35 questions within 75 mins, so I need to spend around 2.5 mins per question. It was hard considering all of them are case studies and recommendation questions that requires you to do a lot of calculations. 25 minutes in and my screen keeps on pausing for some reason and I had to press some keys to resume my exam it was like that for the next 5 minutes until the proctor sent me a message and called me out through microphone. She was a bit mad and told me to read what she sent on the chatbox. I got confused knowing that I didn't do anything wrong. On the chat she says "PLEASE SUBMIT NOW OR YOUR EXAM WILL BE VOIDED....." I had to ask her if I did something wrong that violates the rules and told her that I still have 40 mins left. After muting herself for a minute, she replies "Ohhh I'm so sorry, you can carry on". I was so confused and mad at that time since I wasted around 10 minutes from pausing and questioning. Because of that I lose my focus and I had to blitz all the remaining questions. After the exam I gave the proctor 1 out of 5. They need to hire professional proctors next time!

Proctur U SUCKS

This is the worst, ineffective system EVER!!! I spent over 3 hours trying to complete a Final exam, proctur u, just kept redirecting me to the same page over and over again. When I reached out to chat it was a complete waste of time! The overseas support is rude and unhelpful! I had 3 sessions and not 1 rep did ANYTHING to actually solve the problem. Then to add insult to injury you cant even submit a technical issue report because it wants screenshots but will not allow you to go to any other tab! This has been THE WORST!!!!!!!!

If there was an option for 0 stars I would choose that. From start to finish (which I never finished or even got to write my exam) the absolute worst experience. Even after tech support “controlled my laptop” over 15 technicians couldn’t get it to work, some would try something quick then literally exit out of the help session! I would have to start all over asking for technical support. At least 5 techs did this. I’ve never written a worse review. Absolute trash.

Had different proctors interrupting every 10 minutes…

Had different proctors every 10 minutes and each would say hi and make me do a scan of my room and desk work. Even asked to see under my bed and in my desk. And repeatedly asked where my phone is, when it’s literally behind me out of reach. They kept asking to put my paper on the right and I told them I’m left handed. One proctor was accusing me of cheating, but when she asked to, I showed my workspace and everything else she wanted to see. My desk only had a glass of water, my license ID (which you need at the start of the exam), a piece of paper, and a pen. She kept bothering me with questions and interrupting me 45 mins in my test! I ask every time she interrupts- for me to show my space- can I keep taking my test, she would let me only to interrupt again. Finally, I asked can I take my test in peace or can I get another proctor? She then let me for 15 minutes only to be interrupted by a rude supervisor yelling at me to show my workspace. I did show her like I showed the other proctor, then she threatened me that if I look on my side again (WHERE I WRITE) they will file a report. I was left dumbfounded and frustrated and asked can I finish my exam, no one replied and I closed my exam because my whole focus was ruined. It was 11pm at night after working a long shift.
The next day, I called to file a complaint, the person basically told me to complain online and wait to see if they reply back. To which I asked, how long would that usually take? He kept repeating they’ll just reach out. What’s the point of the hotline if you’re just going to redirect me online and not give me more information?
I have done 2 tests prior and did not have any problems, but this last one made me not want to use their services ever again.
A waste of money and frustrating proctors with different personalities.

WROST ever EXPERINCE ever

WROST ever EXPERINCE ever!
It took an hour for the full inspection, not that I don't respect the policy, it was the way the proctors talked to you like you are a prisoner taking inspection from the prison's guard. They DID NOT let me finish all of my exam, but baned me from writing the second part of the exam. BEcuase I lowered the angel of my camera- built in camera of my laptop during the BREAK TIME, I didn't turn it off, nor do anything suspecious, I lowered the cameara only becuuase I was changing into a sweater in my room.
They ban me from finish writing my exam just becuase I altered my camera during the BREAK TIME
I think the company is a scam, people should avoid it and take in-person exam when they can. If you can't avoid them in your exam, please be caucious and be carefuly with them, they are very rude and abusive the exam taker!

The login was extremely frustrating

The login was difficult. Proctor did not speak English well enough. She spent 20 minutes treating me like a criminal searching everywhere for cheating! Then she was unable to log me in to exam. After 1 hour and me so frustrated and crying. She turned me over to different tech support who logged me in 5 min! She never apologized. Login time 60 minutes! Test took me 15. I didn't need that extra stress.
We should pay Americans to do this job.

Honestly Review on Vulnerability of ProctorU Technical Agent

During my platform trial, I encountered the following issues:
* The single monitor, sound, and video tests passed successfully.
* However, the internet speed and RAM usage tests failed.
When I inquired with an initial agent about the failures, they lacked the expertise to assist and transferred me to a technical support agent. This agent recommended installing remote access software. After installation, a technical support representative joined the session and, despite my stating I didn't have a mouse, remotely controlled my computer without my explicit permission to conduct the tests. These tests continued to fail, even after the agent instructed me to disable my antivirus and Microsoft Defender and attempted the tests again.
Due to concerns about my computer's security, I ended the connection with the anonymous agent and uninstalled the remote control software, citing potential vulnerabilities and the disabling of my security measures. I informed the agent that I would address the problem independently without compromising my system's security.
Based on the error messages, it seemed that port 443 needed to be allowed. Upon checking, I confirmed that this port was already enabled in IIS Manager.
Subsequently, I investigated the ProctorU Browser, which is required for my upcoming exam. Access to it was enabled. I experimented by disabling it to potentially access critical ports, concerned about unauthorized access. After testing again, my internet speed met the requirements. I concluded that allowing the ProctorU Browser access to ports like 443 might grant unauthorized control over my computer, posing a security risk. Therefore, I decided against allowing such access.
Regarding the RAM issue, my system has a maximum of 8GB. The error persists even when 7.99GB is available and only 0.01GB is in use. This suggests that any minimal RAM usage results in a failure. To potentially pass the 8GB RAM requirement, I found that I would need to disable Microsoft Defender (which consumes approximately 50% of my RAM) and terminate all other application processes, including the ProctorU Browser. This raises the question of how I can take an exam if essential security and testing software need to be disabled to meet the RAM requirement. Furthermore, upgrading my RAM is currently unaffordable compared to my living expenses.

How can I take an exam on. Jube 5, 2025 if this happened?
