Good service, as expected

I used this to complete my Agile Business Consortium Scrum Product Owner exam sponsored by APMG International. It was what I expected from a proctored exam. I got given rules from APMG (clear desk, walls etc), and it took 5 minutes for my proctor to confirm me. He asked me to show the four walls of the room, and under my desk.

My proctor was polite and effective, he didn't tell me what he was doing on my computer when he remoted which would have been better but I completely understand why they had to do it. For information, he checked my Display settings I assume to see if I had a second monitor and closed my several apps from my system tray.

My only technical gripe is that my MacBook Pro failed the test as it showed not enough memory, but I highly doubt that's accurate.

I ran a deep antivirus before and after downloading the software and found no malware or viruses. If you had to use this for a course, I would recommend logging out of anything sensitive (emails, password managers), possibly creating a new user. Download the extension and the extra .exe they get you to download and delete immediately after the test.

If your learning establishment hasn't given you clear instructions on how to use this, search 'Student Experience: Colleges and Universities' on youtube by ProctorU and it should prepare you.

Terminated Test

I completed the first half of the LSAT on Saturday Feb 11. During the 10 minute intermission, my proctor Jocel Arino M said there was an issue occurring with my video and requested to transfer me to a tech. This had happened prior to beginning the test as well and I received the same stock response asking to transfer me to a tech. I clarified and specifically asked if doing so would interrupt my session. Jocel responded "no because you are still in the intermission."

The process of transferring my case from my proctor to a tech, Jushwa T, took 5 minutes. By the time a tech had actually connected, my time for intermission had already elapsed. The tech, however, still took remote control of my device.

After several more minutes, Jushwa T informed me that my test had been terminated for failing to return on time. I reiterated to him that I had specifically asked my proctor if undergoing the transfer to the tech would interfere with my test and I was told it would NOT. I expressed my concern and the tech said he would file a ticket. Ultimately, he said the test could not be reopened and to request a new appointment. He then promptly disconnected.

I was at my computer awaiting the go ahead to return to my test for at least 6 minutes of the 10 minute intermission and was corresponding with either a proctor or tech for several of those minutes. My proctor failed to inform me of the risk for termination and transferred my case knowing that was a possibility. I was not instructed to do anything prior to the transfer to ensure my test was not terminated. The LSAC will not reimbursee or allow me to make the test up because ProctorU deemed this a "termination with no options." This was a complete and total waste of several hundred dollars, months of prep, and most of a day.

Terrible system

Terrible system, worse support, even worse customer service.
Passed all their pre-exam checks then on the day just sat their under "connecting". Never connected. Online support kept changing timing out and never did anything. Had to call up a US number to get support. Was just told "try a different laptop". Then could not get them to send me a report detailing the issues so I could get a re-take for the exam I've now missed. Could not get an email address to copy in the tech support to explain to my institution.

The absolute worst company. Makes the test taking process 1000x more stressful and almost gave me a panic attack. They deserve to go out of business.

They make changes on the laptop without…

They make changes on the laptop without asking. They are not polite about it. They take control without asking. I use my office for my school. they had me take down all my work notes that I put on my wall. i was not told that I need to go to a room where i have no papers around me. They had me cover my giant monitors with clothes, added weight on them. Non of this information is stated. This is a college midterm not a state bar.

A poorly managed exam experience resulting in the exam taker failing the exam.

I had a proctored exam this week. The proctor interrupted during the exam, which caused me to lose time and focus in answering questions. The exam was only 30 minutes, but there were 26 questions. I had to be very focused to answer the questions. With the interruption, I lost time and focus and could not regain it before the exam ended.

I filed a complaint about the proctor's wrongdoing (she did not let me adjust the camera to have an appropriate view before the exam). Instead, she chose to interrupt the exam during the exam.)

However, Proctor U and the exam organization (OMCP.org) said exam interruption is a common practice.

In my previous proctored exams, I was allowed to adjust my camera before the exam. However, with my exam with ProctorU this week, I was not given this chance.

Both ProctorU and OMCP.org insisted that exam interruption is common. I felt this response shows that the exam is not professionally managed. Interrupting the exam to adjust the camera during the exam(instead of before the exam) is unreasonable and unfair to the exam takers.

It was a total waste of my time studying and taking the exam from OMCP.org, especially since the pre-exam procedure is different for different exam takers. The exam interruption during the exam could have been avoided if the proctor had taken the time to do the proper procedure before the exam.

However, up to now, both ProctorU and OMCP.org insisted exam interruptions are common, and both are unwilling to follow up with my complaint to improve the proctor procedure before the exam.

A disgrace to the education sector

A disgrace to the education sector. Services like this seem like a good idea. Unfortunately this organisation lacks the competence and integrity to deliver the service in a satisfactory way. Despite being extremely prepared for the exam the grossly inexperienced and incompetent "support" person took 45 minutes to get the exam started. The exam took me 25 minutes to complete. Following the exam I then realised that the windows scripts they executed on my machine caused technical problems. Now after a week they're still refusing to disclose what the scripts did and are completely unwilling to assist in solving the problems they've caused.

If you're a reputable University or education provider, DO NOT USE this service. Your students will hate you for it and their education journeys will be directly damaged by the involvement of ProctorU in any form.

A terrible product

A terrible product. Extremely laggy and hard to use. Slows down the computer and makes it impossible to take the test.

The people who are responsible for monitoring the test are extremely incompetent, very unhelpful and their English level is very low.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL service

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL service. I ran a device test two weeks before an exam and the system said that my OS failed because it required minimum Windows 8.0 but I had Windows 8.1. When I contacted customer service why Windows 8.1 wasn't okay he/she said that there was nothing he/she could do and told me to log in 5 minutes before the exam to let a technician solve the problem. This is unacceptable because who would guarantee if the problem can be solved in 5 minutes prior to the exam and why wouldn't he/she connect me to a technician to help solve this problem. I expected a better service since the fee to take this test was not cheap.

Horrendously incompetent

Horrendously incompetent

Any educational institution that uses continues to use this proctoring service after reading about the horrendous experiences people have explained here simply do not care about the wellbeing and success of students. What happened to me on 22 February 2021 when I sat my HPAT ACER exam was traumatic and has affected my physical health through painful muscle spasms in my face and neck from being sat in the same position for over 5hrs. My exam should have been 2.5hrs. I have been ignored by both ACER and ProctorU. My experience is as follows:

1. Exam that should have started at 7.30pm started 1 hr late because of "system issues". Bear in mind my Internet speeds were WAY over the recommended minimum and my laptop had passed all the checks several times before the exam. Even the proctor checked my speeds and said they were fine.
2. Mid-question my exam was stopped at least 9 times, often with no reason or explanation. Each time it would take up to 20mins to get the exam restarted.
3. The proctors would log off without explanation and pass me to their "technical assistant" who would take control of my laptop without explaining anything, in spite of me asking repeatedly what was wrong.
4. A proctor tried twice to reatart me on the wrong exam. When I told her this she insisted it was the right exam. When she finally realised that it was in fact the wrong exam, she did not apologise. This further delayed me being able to complete my exam. This needs to be investigated but as I said, I have been ignored.
5. I could not leave my room or seat during this period and have since developed torticollis in my neck, jaw ache and migraines.
6. The entire incident caused so much stress and anxiety that my concentration was completely obliterated and my performance has 100% been affected by what happened this is an exam I have prepared for for 1 year. It is only held once a year, so I cannot just resit it next week or next month. I was crying during the exam because of the added stress.
