Dan absolutely knows his stuff about how to manage and support change initiatives in any organisation, with the ability to impart his knowledge and experience to course participants in a practical way. Well facilitated and technically…

Well facilitated and technically comprehensive course. Great balance of facilitator shared experience (and the experience in the content was evident and relevant) and course exercises. Definitely one of the better virtual courses I have attended.

Thanks. We have worked hard to try and bring the physical classroom experience into a virtual environment for all our courses especially change management, agile change management and agile\project management.

A great course

The course prepared me well for the exam. It was well paced and although we made sure to cover the APMG syllabus thoroughly there was plenty of time for questions and discussions about the practical application of the techniques we were learning.

A fantastic course that covers all things change. Dan the trainer had a really engaging and fun style that kept it interesting. The course was jam-packed as covers all change theories/perspectives including homework and timed exam in a week, so be ready to be stretched! Would highly recommend it!

Rapid Agile Change Management (RACM) course

Due to Covid-19 lockdown constraints, the Rapid Agile Change Management (RACM) course was successfully delivered virtually by Dan with a small class size to enable collaboration and engagement. The course was easy to follow and enabled me to enhance my learnings of becoming more effective in an agile change management environment without having to put more time or effort into outputs or deliverables. There were several interactive group case studies to enable participants to reinforce and playback their learnings from the 2-day course. Highly recommend!

Professional, enjoyable RACM course, packed full of simple, practical and usable change tools/approaches/tips I can use immediately in my work. The interaction with the class members and sharing of experiences was also great. Would definitely recommend Dan’s courses.

Worthwhile investment

This is my second change related course with Dan and Project Laneways. Dan kept us fully engaged over two days of remote learning and I took away great practical tools and tips that I can leverage for the refresh of our change framework and implement in the various agile style projects I am involved with. Thanks Dan!

Change management made simple.

Undertaking the foundation and practitioner change management course in one week was quite intense, yet enjoyable.
Dan was very concise, well-spoken, easy to understand and motivating.
The course material was easy to access, the virtual zoom sessions were simple to join and the group was large enough to encourage productive discussions while not too large to get lost in all the noise.
The most important thing, I did actually learn something! Thanks for making the whole process so simple.

The course was great and covered a wide range of change management principles. The only thing I would say is that for the short time frame, a lot is covered and it doesn't lend a lot of time to really delving into specific topics. I would also note that it is difficult to apply a quantitative exam process to what is a very qualitative process.

Overall though I do feel that this is a very good course and would widely recommend to those starting out in change management.

I actually agree with you about the exam process. But that is the standard set for the qualification. Without that, I could not offer a qualification in Change Management. having said that, I am glad you found it a good course and would recommend it. Thanks.

Fantastic course for those new to change management!

Being new to the change management space, I found the course very enjoyable and I left with a lot of knowledge of both the theory AND real life examples/experiences, something you don't always get.

The materials we were provided with were great and I will most definitely utilise them in my work going forward.

Thanks Dan, you were really engaging and approachable... I will be recommending Project Laneways to others in my organisation!

Dealing with Difficult Co-Workers

Dan’s session ‘dealing with Difficult Co-Workers’ provided a practical model to follow with supporting steps and scenarios. I would highly recommend this course to people working on projects and to those working in a stressful environment. It focuses on gathering objectives, facts, active listening and understanding different types of behaviours to build a strategy to improve or resolve relationship difficulties.

I recommend this Change Management course

The Change Management course was great, and it's due to Dan's training style and presentation. One can see that he's a seasoned change manager and his guidance is derived from boots on the ground - the authenticity shows. His continual storytelling helped to make the principles stick, and kept the sessions lively and the trainees engaged.

There also was a good balance between the teaching and participation in group activities by the trainees which was important for the learning, I felt.

The only thing that prevents me from giving this 5 stars is the training material - while concise, of high quality, and as complete as can be for a short course, I found the several spelling and grammatical errors distracting, as well as the inability to search for text at times (since some text is in the form of images). The lack of linkage of the table of contents to the content itself also made the material harder to navigate - and when there's emphasis on pre-reading as well as review for the exam, then these aspects become more conspicuous. By the way, I comment as someone who's far from being an expert in authoring documents, but having to do that at times at work, and getting constant feedback through proofreaders has made me take note of this area more than otherwise, I suppose.

Regardless, this course has been packed full of "goodies" and I thank Dan for making it so interesting, fun and digestible.

Well done to Project Laneways for making the online delivery medium as well as the method of online examination effective and seamless. Technical support during the exam was very efficient. Thank you Project Laneways!

Thank you for your kind words. Regarding making the materials being searchable, they were originally designed for a printed format in a physical classroom and that is why we provide the extensive index into the handouts. We'll need to think about this.
Regarding the typos, the materials were proof read by three separate trainers. However, I realise that its always possible to miss a few. I will contact you separately to see if you could point them out to me.

Excellent course trainer and content

What I like about his course was although it was online, Dan managed to keep me engaged to through the duration of the foundation and practitioner course (which can be a challenge via virtual courses).

i really enjoyed learning from the experience Dan and other participants have gone through as CMs.
