Kind and encouraging communication
I’ve been speaking with Matthew at ProjectK Publishing while exploring options for my book, and he’s been genuinely kind throughout our conversations. Putting your writing in front of people can be nerve-racking, and I’ve appreciated how welcoming he’s been.
When I felt differently about a stylistic choice, he didn’t dismiss it; he asked where our perspectives diverged and seemed genuinely interested in hearing why. He was also understanding when I decided to keep working on the manuscript myself. I’m still early in the process, so I can only speak to our conversations, but his openness and respect for my vision have meant a lot. This review is about my experience talking with him rather than publishing a book with ProjectK, but that experience has still been absolutely lovely.
