Hidden Checkout Charge and Customer Service Ignored My Refund Request

During checkout on a $360 order, a $10.68 “Order Protection” charge was quietly added without me intentionally selecting it. That feels like it was snuck into the cart, which is not something I appreciate from a company I’m trusting with my health products.

After noticing it, I contacted customer service and clearly requested that the charge be removed and refunded. Instead of addressing the request, I received a templated response explaining the benefits of the protection plan, completely ignoring the fact that I asked for the charge to be removed.

So to summarize the experience:
• An add-on charge was inserted into my order that I did not knowingly select
• I requested a refund
• Customer service replied with marketing copy and ignored the request

That is why this review is one star.

The charge itself is small. The issue is the practice and the response. Sneaking optional fees into checkout and then ignoring a direct refund request is frustrating and unnecessary. Just process the refund when a customer asks.

Hopefully someone there actually reads this feedback and fixes the checkout experience.

Love Prolon products

Love Prolon products. Want to get your organic but cannot afford it anymore. The difference in price between the regular and the organic in my opinion is outrageous. I know it’s organic, but still that much difference?

Prolon is an excellent addition to healthy eating

The Prolon program is supported by excellent science. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The website is very good. I’ve been wanting to do a 5 day water only fast for a while now, but was concerned about loss of muscle mass. Prolon seems safer in that respect. I’ve completed 3 Prolon 5 day fasts so far with no noticeable reduction in muscle mass, or strength.
