Was looking at investing in a solar and a battery option for our home. Had several quotes from the big players like Octopus and Costco. Prometheus beat all their quotes easily as you’re not paying a big supplier but a local firm who take pride in their reputation and unlike the big companies who bulk buy their stock, Prometheus use the latest technology available.

Costco etc are using panels that are not as efficient and older systems. The options once Prometheus looked at the house and our usage fitted all budgets. You had the Fox system more budget friendly, the EcoFlow middle ground and the Tesla Powerwall the most expensive. Chris the owner recommended the EcoFlow, this came with a bigger warranty than the others, it’s very neat and compact and the battery’s are easily stackable if you with to install upgrades later down the line.

Once we had the quotes and given the go ahead it was just a few weeks later and the installation was booked. Chris and his team arrived promptly and I was expecting the job to take at least a day and a half, but the job was completed by the end of the first day. Shown how it all worked and they would be in touch within a few days to make sure we were happy with everything or if we had further questions.

What’s really good as there is no deposit to pay until the work is completed, which tells you how confident they are in their workmanship as others want a big deposit before they start.

If you’re looking to make a sound investment I highly recommend Chris and his team at Prometheus.

From the time of requesting quote and subsequent meeting with Prometheus Electrical & Solar LTD followed by a video report on the proposed system, consideration of price it was clear to us @ Caldicot Male Voice Choir this was the company to deal with as against five other companies. Chris and his team absolutely professional in what they do and at every stage nothing was any trouble. Top quality equipment used and very neatly installed to a very high standard.

Excellent work carried out on my solar installation by Chris and his team from Prometheus. Despite a challenging installation, everybody was very easy to get on with. They were all friendly, polite, helpful, and knowledgeable.

What a great company, from our first meeting with Jon who talked us through our solar options and ensured we fully utilised our property for a maximum return, to Chris and his teams installing.

All were highly professional, hard working and clean. The work is so neat with cables hidden wherever possible.

There are so many companies offering their solar panel expertise, but I challenge any of them to match the level of care and pride that Chris and his team have in their work.

Good workmanship fair price.

Just had my solar and battery system fitted and I’m over the moon. Huge thanks to Chris for his patience and help; I changed my mind several times due to my own research and a last-minute EV purchase, but he was brilliant throughout. He even managed to source the specific Ohme ePod EV charger I requested a day before the install!

Gethyn did a stellar job on the main install of the Hanchu inverter and 9.4kWh battery. The whole setup is super neat and working perfectly.

What really impressed me was the after-care; Chris came back out just a day later to handle a minor fix, proving he’s truly on hand when needed even after the job is finished. Truly a local company that cares about their customers. Thanks guys!

Chris came out twice. Once with his team and once alone. They worked quickly, quietly and efficiently. When there the second time to commission he explained everything i needed to know.

Cracking company and tidied up when finished.

When I need an expansion pack for I will definitely call!

They installed solar panels and battery on a day with heavy rain and did not stop until it got dark with the final connections done first thing the following morning. Chris explained how everything worked and said any problems or questions just contact him anytime.
We had an issue with the system connecting to the app the following week and after a quick phone call Chris came out that same evening to sort out for us.
Highly recommended and a good price.

Great company. I priced around and found that they are one of the cheapest and the quality of work was very impressive. I would recommend to all get these guys to give you a quote.

We first Encountered Prometheus when they were installing our Solar installation as contractors for another company.

They arrived when they said they would and did a very efficient and neat installation. Questions were fully and politely answered during the install and we were kept updated on the amount of progress. Once installed I was given a post install brief which was both thorough and easy to understand by Alex, who was in charge on site. 12 panels, plus inverter and battery took just over three hours, and they cleaned up afterwards. Excellent.

After several months I began to consider increasing the amount of battery capacity, did some research about how much a suitable sized battery cost and decided to approach Prometheus directly for a quote, because of the quality of their original work. A price was agreed, a battery quickly obtained.

Because they are Swansea based, I agreed that they could do the install when they were in the local area to me, either enroute to, or from other jobs. Through no fault of their own, this took a little longer than we all expected, but was still completed within 10 days of our initial agreement.

My only criticism was that I had to chase up some of the delays and felt I could have been kept updated a little better.

If I could I would give 4.75 stars, and would recommend and, if required, use this small family company again. Overall, very well done.
