We purchased a sofa with recliners
We purchased a sofa with recliners, delivered on August 31, 2022. Within six months, we started hearing a creaking sound but did not complain. After a year, the creaking became excessive, so we visited the Eindhoven Pronto Wonen store in Ekkersrijt, Son. After waiting for around an hour, we were told they wouldn't take any customer complaints and to call customer service instead. We were given a service appointment after four months. The technician worked for 10 minutes, but the sound persisted. He said he could do no more and advised us to raise another complaint with the store for another service appointment.
The store employee then scheduled another appointment, which was after 2 months. The technician did something for another 15 minutes, but the sound remained. When we complained to the store again, they arranged one more appointment, planning to visit our home when the service technician arrived. When my husband asked the technician to wait five minutes for the Pronto Wonen employee to arrive, the technician refused and left. The Pronto Wonen employee arrived shortly after. By this point, my husband had taken three half-days off for these appointments. He clearly stated before confirming the third appointment that it was the final time he would accommodate their scheduling.
After all this, which took around eight months, the Pronto Wonen employee now says we are nearing the end of our two-year warranty period, so they cannot replace the sofa. They offered either another service appointment or to take the sofa for repairs, providing a temporary replacement in the meantime. Due to hygiene concerns and my allergies, we ordered a new sofa in June 2022 to avoid using a second-hand one, but now Pronto Wonen suggests we use a temporary sofa.
We are extremely dissatisfied with the sofa from Pronto Wonen. After spending over €2250, we are facing a very frustrating situation. We have lost peace of mind, money, and time.
