Psychedelic Affirming Education is an NBCC-Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP No. 7579) offering evidence-based, clinically practical online training for licensed mental health professionals navigating the growing presence of psychedelics in therapeutic work. We were built for the therapist, counselor, psychologist, or social worker who is already encountering psychedelic experiences in session — and wants to respond with clarity, competence, and professional integrity. Our courses are designed for ordinary clinicians doing real clinical work, not just those pursuing specialized psychedelic-assisted therapy credentials. Our curriculum addresses what other CE trainings often skip: ethical decision-making at the boundaries of scope, harm reduction frameworks, psychedelic integration principles, clinical assessment of clients preparing for or recovering from psychedelic experiences, and the cultural and social contexts that shape those experiences. Every course is grounded in current research, professional ethics, and a commitment to disability justice and whole-person care. Our programs meet continuing education requirements for licensed professionals in Oregon and Washington, including the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers, Oregon Board of Psychology, Washington Mental Health Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists Advisory Committee, and the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon. Psychedelic Affirming Education is led by Dr. Peter H. Addy, PhD, LPC, LMHC, a licensed psychotherapist with 15+ years of experience in psychedelic research, including research at Yale School of Medicine.
