Legal Action
The separate locations may give great service, but it ends there. If you need medical records or customer service you should be prepared to file a complaint with the Georgia State Board.
Providers in the state of GA have 30 days to provide your records.
It’s not so much that we have yet to receive my records, it is the over all violations of ethics.
1. The “fax” number on the website that they have to request records is apparently a telephone number. I found this out after calling billing and explaining this to the rep. She gave me the EMAIL address where you are to request them.
2. I called the rep as a last resort because despite their “compliance line” voicemail stating they check the messages daily and investigate seriously, and that someone would call back, no one has. I called 2 times, no returned calls and it’s been over 30 days now.
3. After 14 days of sending my request via email, they didn’t reply. So I started posting on their social media. Then I get an email with THEIR ROI. I sent it back 12 days ago, and have not gotten a response.
This is holding up a legal proceeding. I filed a complaint yesterday with the board about their dysfunctional process and information on the website. If I do not receive my records by tomorrow another complaint will be filed for a more serious violation and I will pursue legal action.
