All of the team have been very helpful and responsive throughout our sale so far, starting with James Garland, through to Shannon, Abbey and Kav, the service has been brilliant so far and really easy, would definitely recommend - not forgetting Hayley the photographer who did a fabulous job for our advert.

Avoid, but if not - DEFINITELY do not pay in advance
Do not make my mistake of paying in advance. Failed to sell my property after nearly a two thirds of a year on the market. I purchased with the viewings handled as an extra. Uncontactable at times, just too much added hassle for both the buyer and seller. If you or the buyer calls, you are put in a queue. Far easier to call a local agent. I requested a call back several times and emailed my handling agent - Anna-Marie Benjafield to ask for updates or a call back, never received a single call back or email. It is disappointing because purplebricks used to be good, I used them about 10 years ago and it was a very good experience. But I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole anymore. My best advice is to avoid, quite simply they are meant to make selling a house easier, but my experience was that they only made it more difficult!

Anti money laundering checks ott
Anti money laundering checks ott. Purplebricks partner with Simplify since June on this. No common sense applied. Took three weeks! Finally got there. Kim from Purplebricks worked hard to achieve outcome and keep me informed. Hoping the selling process is easier!

Local agent prompt and contactable
Local agent prompt and contactable, onboarding team more difficult to get hold off and did not complete all actions requiring me to follow up which was unnecessary. App is also not as user friendly as I would expect, more geared up to buyers than sellers
Carlo was very professional and also…

He talked me through everything in a very concise but detailed way and made me feel confident in his ability to do a good job.

I deeply regret going with Purple…
I deeply regret going with Purple Bricks for the sale of my flat. A brief summary of issues: 1) Viewings not responded to for at least 10 days, and some potential buyer enquiries missed, receiving no response at all; 2) Inconsistent information on number of enquiries and viewings to date - sales rep confirmed they can’t get this for me. This is a basic requirement and I paid extra for this; 3) Sales rep changed and repeated left - without informing me in a timely manner; 4) Photos changed without informing me - with dates snow pictures taken and angles which made rooms look considerably smaller; 5) Took weeks and months to respond to certain queries; 6) App and website consistently not working with various browsers and devices. No fixes offered and apparent ‘known’ issue; 7) Messages with buyers randomly disappear and re appear so I can’t reliably respond; 8) Viewings say ‘confirmed’ by email and ‘no upcoming viewings’ on corresponding web portal; 9) Customer service team defer to complaints rather than problem solve; 10) Complaints team don’t reply in timeline given. There is more - they have caused so much stress and grief. Do not use them. Even one of their upsell partners told me they keep getting complaints about them. I’ve taken it to the Ombudsman as their complaints team offered £200 and a premium listing, which did not cover the issues in my view, which also long continued past the complaints process. The only reason this isn’t one star is because my latest sales rep was decent and I dropped the price by £20K to secure a sale and be done with Purple Bricks. I have used online agents before who have been great. I will never use Purple Bricks again, and would happily pay twice as much for a different agent.
