Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 123 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Visitors frequently complained about exorbitant prices, unexpected fees, and frustrating payment systems that made simple parking sessions difficult to manage. Consumers also pointed out severe customer service shortcomings, noting that support representatives were unresponsive, unhelpful, and unwilling to resolve legitimate complaints regarding extra charges. Though some customers encountered significant challenges, a small group of people were satisfied with specific staff members. Some reviewers mentioned that certain employees provided exceptional assistance and went above and beyond to help them during difficult situations. A few other consumers also noted that pre-booking online worked smoothly and refund requests were occasionally handled quickly.

Very poor customer service and unable to obtain a refund
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Q-Park - Cardiff West Gate street

After experiencing problems with my season ticket, I raised complaints and tried to get the matter resolved. Despite going through the complaints process, I have still been unable to obtain the refund I believe I am due.

What has been most frustrating is the amount of time and effort I have had to put into trying to sort out something that should have been relatively straightforward. When a customer raises a formal complaint, I would expect the company to properly investigate the issue, take ownership of it and provide a clear resolution. That has not been my experience.

Being left without a satisfactory resolution or refund after repeatedly raising the issue has seriously damaged my confidence in Q-Park.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Q-Park. The real test of a company is how it responds when something goes wrong, and unfortunately the complaints and refund process has fallen well below the standard I would expect.

Q park in ipswich

Q park in ipswich. I have received a fine, apparently I went over the 10 mins. But I had to get the app and then register, due to bad signal it took ages. I was sent a £100 fine. I appealed and it came back that I was over the 10 mins. But if I paid in two weeks it was £20. I sent a confirming email that I had paid £6. I am not happy and will never park there again

I’d give less than 1 if I could

I’d give less than 1 if I could, parked for 1.5 hours paid pre booked for 3 but was charged a full hour for entering the car park 19 minutes before my allotted time but wasn’t able to book any other time on their website. But there is no refund for leaving 1hr and 19 minutes early so cost me £9.51 for 1.5 hours. If I was you I’d use anywhere else.

AVOID AT ALL COST !!

AVOID AT ALL COST !!! Charged £192 after I have used the car park without my permission as the reg plate recognition did not work and as the car was parked there on 2 separate Sundays Q-Park charged me for a week !!! Had to then go and speak to multiple people and complete refund forms myself as that is their procedure . No compensation offered for it ! This company is a joke

Pre booked for york shambles

Pre booked for york shambles. Arrived to find a long queue of mixed people pre booked or just waiting for a space. Couldn’t pass the people just waiting for a space even though we pre booked. Got inside to find a couple of extremely tight spaces right at the end near the wall. After driving up and down the levels the attendant comes to tell us that is the only spaces left that time of day and to try and park, we told him we couldn’t fit without damaging people’s cars and he just replied “try not to damage them” ?? After a back and forth with him just repeatedly saying its all the spaces left i asked him if he would like me to physically make my car smaller 🥴 to fit! After paying to reserve a space you would expect to be able to physically park!

1 star ⭐️ (only because 0 isn’t an option)

If you’re looking to spend £79 to have your car broken into, look no further! Q-Park offers the full experience.

Honestly, I might as well have handed my keys to a random bloke down a dodgy alleyway. At least he wouldn’t have charged me £79 for the privilege.

Apparently, security patrols are included, although I’m assuming they’re on annual leave. Plenty of people seemingly able to sleep inside the car park, but nobody around to notice someone breaking into my car. Fantastic.

And don’t worry, if your car does get broken into, Q-Park will kindly remind you about 47 times that absolutely nothing is their responsibility. Customer service at its finest.

They did eventually refund my £79 as a gesture of goodwill. How incredibly generous of them to refund me for a parking experience that came with a complimentary crime scene.

If you enjoy paying luxury prices for backstreet security, this is the place for you.

Would I recommend? Absolutely. To someone I strongly dislike.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. Not worth the money and their customer service is that of a budget car park ran by gangsters rather than a premium brand.

Completely inadequate parking at Musgrove Park hospital, rude attendants

Had to visit Musgrove Park hospital for an appointment, no other option as the treatment is only available at Musgrove Park. I have a blue badge so I tried to park in the disabled car park but it is always full when I arrive. The attendant arrived and attempted to shoo everyone in the queue out and told us all to park in the ordinary car park (Cedars). Then he let everyone in front of me in but blocked me out. It seems that I'm not the only one who has experienced this behaviour...Q-Park have a licence to print money in this car park. Next time I won't be moving abd I'll wait to be towed away.

Poor experience at Q-Park QE Hospital Birmingham

Poor experience at QE Birmingham

I found the staff at the site unhelpful, and when I called to discuss the charge, they were argumentative and didn’t seem to care.

All the disabled spaces were full, so we used two bays to leave enough room for a disabled passenger to get out of the car and into a wheelchair alongside it. We displayed the Blue Badge, hoping a bit of common sense would be applied, but were given a parking charge.

They cancelled it after I appealed, which I appreciate, but it was unnecessary stress on top of a hospital visit. It felt like they were more interested in issuing charges than helping. What are people supposed to do when the disabled bays are full?

Went to use Q-park in Colchester Osborne…

Went to use Qpark in Colchester Osborne street the machine was not working. Signs say down load app and pay. It took about half an hour to down load app but when I tried to put in time I arrived it wouldn't let me it went to the next hour pre-book. I gave up and left car park but because the carpark has entry cameras and exit cameras I decided to pay for an hour but app would only let me pay for a full day. So I made a complaint they said they wanted to see my bank statements saying I paid for a day so they could refund me. I emailed them and they never replied just kept my money. Terrible service every in Colchester is saying don't use Q-park it's a scam.

I parked in Harley Street Q Park

I parked in Harley Street Q Park. Payment instructions are very UNCLEAR! I arrived back before an hour - which was already 11.50 for an hour. However, due to the lack of signs or anything to say how to pay which meant we were then went over the hour parking and had to pay for for 2 hours, £24 and wasn’t even there for 2 hours… due to the very unclear instructions and signs. I called customer service who were not clear either. Ridiculous! and a scam, 24 quid for an hour and 12 - 20 of it trying to find how to pay.

Q-Park- Liverpool- No reserved space and a dump

Q-Park, Queen Square, Liverpool ONE, chose 24 hr parking to stay at hotel and attend Theatre close by. Paid for VIP reserved parking Ref: XQMS406 for £27.30p. Entered and went to Level 2B to look for our pre-booked reserved space... there was no reserved space on level 2B because every parking space was occupied by a car except for one disabled parking space. So we went up to level 3 and there were spaces there but reserved for Hertz car parking. We went back down to Level 2 B and allthough I had not requested disabled parking, I do have a valid Blue Badge. So I parked in the only empty space on level 2B which was a disabled one. I displayed my blue badge and we left the car. We went to the exit level on 2B and pressed one of two lifts. The lift area was dank and filthy as were the lift buttons. The lift door opened and it was occupied by a group of youths one of which had managed to get his large mountain bike in the lift. These people were Gobby and I could smell the cannabis in the lift. I wondered what they had been doing in the multi-storey as they were going down and clearly didn't drive. One surly individual said "you are not getting in here Mate" to which I replied "Absolutely not Mate". We then caught the second lift to the left and it was empty but dirty. The lift reeked of recent tobacco smoke. We got out on the ground floor and found that the pedestrian security door was wide open and there was no need to scan your code to get in or out. The whole area looked dirty with dirty windows and floors. When we returned the following morning to depart the security door entrance was closed and we had to scan our code to enter. I will not park at Q-Park again, I was not satisfied with the security and the lack of our pre-paid VIP parking space. In addition you have to be careful when in the multi-storey as going up and down involves tight turns especially difficult in a large SUV.

I thought Q Parks were a notch above…

I thought Q Parks were a notch above Euro Car Parks but today's experience at Manchester Piazza proved that's not the case.

Discount code provided by the hotel not accepted because you need to rebook with the code.

Wonderful. Anyone know of a car park business that give a damn about their customers?

Issue parking charge notices even if you have paid

Q-Park Solly St in Sheffield is currently managed by Britannia Parking. I was repeatedly been issued parking charge notices for time periods where I had already paid for the session via their Q-Park app. This occurred on 11 different occasions across August and September, leading to significant periods of time writing appeals to prove I had paid. The notices only stopped after intervention from my employer (who have a discount agreement with Q-Park/Britannia Parking). I appreciate mistakes happen but for it to happen 11 times is really not acceptable. This car park is in a really convenient location and the discounted price is great value, so I really hope the new barrier system prevents these problems occurring again.

Just another parking company that seems…

Just another parking company that seems determined to squeeze every penny out of its customers. Despite returning to the car park within our allocated time slot and exiting within just five minutes, we were charged an additional £11.

An absolutely ridiculous and disproportionate charge, especially when we had returned on time. Rather than providing a fair service, it feels like they are simply looking for any opportunity to charge customers more.

Very disappointing experience. I certainly wouldn’t recommend using this car park.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Service from Fahad at Q-Park Cheltenham Place, Reading!

We had a fantastic experience thanks to Fahad, who was incredibly helpful, professional, and friendly throughout. He gave us the right advice, took the time to explain everything clearly, and guided us through all the steps we needed to complete.

His patience, knowledge, and willingness to help made the whole process so much easier and stress-free for us. It’s not every day you come across someone who genuinely goes out of their way to help others, and Fahad certainly did that.

A huge thank you to Fahad for his outstanding customer service and support. He is a real credit to Q-Park, and his positive attitude and professionalism deserve to be recognised.

Definitely a 5-star experience! Highly recommended, and thank you again, Fahad, for all your help! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Manchester Palace car park

At their Manchester Palace site, the app doesn't work properly, the lifts have been out of order for months, the magnetic door lock isn't working and the car park is filthy. Customer service advisors are unhelpful. Dreadful company.
