DO NOT BUY A CARAVAN FROM TORKSEY…

DO NOT BUY A CARAVAN FROM TORKSEY CARAVANS. We bought a 2023 Swift Sprite Quattro FB in April 2025. We had numerous issues with it and had to return for repairs multiple times. One of which was due to the boiler not working on Gas. Torksey told us they had replaced the boiler with a brand new one. Fast forward to January 2026 we took the caravan for its service to a Swift Approved garage. Turns out the caravan had a bent chassis!! Oh and the ‘brand new’ boiler they replaced in only Aug/Sep 2025 was not brand new, and was in fact second hand (we didn’t care if it was new/second hand or just a new part as long as the boiler worked) however it was the lies that really annoyed us. We agreed with the manager 3 options - a full refund, Torksey to repair the chassis or a 3rd party approved dealer to complete the repair. Due to the lack of trust we now had with Torksey Caravans we got a quote from a Swift approved garage, just under £2000. Torksey Caravans did not want to pay this amount of money and said (in the words of William the manager) ‘it seems excessive’ when discussing replacing the bowed part of the chassis and the dented part! We opted to reject the caravan and Torksey then wanted to charge us a ‘usage’ fee of £500 when after most times we used it we had to return it for repairs. We pointed out the fact that the same caravan that we paid £19,995 for nearly a year ago, is now for sale at another local dealership for £22,995. Torksey then agreed to refund the full £19,995 plus the cost for the service. They have now put our old caravan up for sale, within days of us returning it, for £22,995 - £3000 more than we paid for that caravan in April 2025!! They also cannot have repaired the chassis as the lead time on the parts from Swift was longer than a couple of weeks. I would not recommend Torksey Caravans - if you have bought a caravan from them I’d recommend having a garage you trust looking over it!
