Long delivery lead time - but worth the wait...
Over the years, I have ordered three jerseys and two bib shorts from Quirky Jerseys and to be fair it does take a few weeks to come. I have had to send items back to change sizes and there has never been an issue. But would I describe myself as a satisfied customer - Absolutely... I think once you accept there is about a four week lead time and temper your delivery expectations, the quality of product is worth the wait...
I went through the same poor ordeal as many…
I went through the same ordeal as many others; sent an email after about 4 weeks wondering where the order was in their processing. To be fair they did say up to 6 weeks delivery to Australia, though I would have expected some interim updates as the order was processed. Like others, my emails were ignored and it took opening a case with PayPal to get a response. Finally I received a response from Jay. Same old response; it was lost in the mail! By now, anyone with any business acumen would have sorted out what seems to be a chronic delivery problem, unless it was just a handy fabrication to fall back on.
Quirky Jerseys belongs to Neostar Holdings Limited so I looked them up on the UK Company Register, to find Larry Afriyie was the sole director. I did some digging around and found Quirky Jerseys, was founded by Ashley Pang in 2017 and acquired by Neostar in 2019. Larry tried to tell me since they acquired it, the reviews were much better! Not on here. The ratio of poor to bad reviews seems to be the same: 1 in every 2.
The quality of the jersey is quite OK. The jersey pockets are low enough to reach into while riding. Some Chinese made jerseys are a tad high. I should have bought an XL but instead went up a size and it is a bit loose - my fault completely, on that score.
I told Larry that I thought he had a unique and good product but that they needed just be up front and honest about how long it takes them to get things processed. The other thing we spoke about was the amount of profit that they advertised they would donate to the aid of Ukraine. He said back in May that in the next month they would release details of the aid organization and the amount of profit they'd sent. I bought a Ukraine cycling jersey based on this advertised commitment.
No publication of such however was forthcoming. So I opened a case with the UK Advertising Standards Authority and they issued them with advice on how to comply with the advertising code. Gave them a right good talking to :-)
Since then on their website they say they have suspended operations siting supply issues which is a shame and a surprise, because I haven't had any supply issues from China and I would have liked to seem the lift their game and do better. It would not have taken too much just a more honest and transparent approach.
Awful Company, DO NOT USE
Awful experience, goods ordered and paid for 23rd February and nothing arrived as of 26th March.. very slow to answer email, only did so when I complained to PayPal, finally got a "your order was lost in the post" answer and replacement being shipped from China! it'll be weeks before it arrives if it ever does, terrible service, avoid at all cost!
Terrible products and customer service
If there was a negative star option I would have opted for a minus 1. A thermal cycling top I bought became USELESS after two rides due to the poor zip .After requsting a replacement I was told No .PLEASE DONT use this company poor products and bad customer care .Will use Wiggle or other reputable companies in future !
Awful
Awful. Ordered winter boibbed tights and top in red. Got a summer top and bottoms in black. Avoid
I feel like I've been Cheated and Conned
I ordered 5 jerseys from Quirky Jerseys in Jan 2021 and it's been over 3 months and no sign of my order. After repeated emails, I get no response from Quirky Jerseys until finally a customer service rep called Jay sent me an email saying, "I've just checked and your order should be with you by the end of the week or early next week.." THIS WAS TWO WEEKS AGO.
I've sent another 4 follow up emails asking for a courier tracking number OR at least an update as to where exactly the items are stuck. I've got the same response from Jay saying, "I've just checked and your order has just been shipped from the UK." That's very different from the previous email as well.
Right now I'm wondering if this is a bogus website and I've been conned.
The product never arrived
The product never arrived, they refused to help track it, replace it, or refund me. They are scam artists
Will I ever get what I paid for?
I have been waiting over a month for a jersey and cannot get a reply from customer services email. Feel like I've been scammed.
Rubbish order fullfilment process
Ordered a Jersey July 22nd, received it August 24th. Five weeks against their promised lead time of 2-4 weeks. I e-mailed them after three weeks and the response effectively admitted they'd done nothing but it was "in the post". Based on other comments on here I had written off my order but to be fair, with a little prompting, I received the cycling Jersey I'd ordered, the quality is fine - although not yet washed for the first time - and the fit is about right. Just a shame their order fulfillment process seems to rely on manual intervention.
Be aware you are ordering from China!
Be aware you are ordering from China. Delivery was very slow, but the main problem was the sizing. I ordered a set of cycling top and shorts, and ordered Medium even though I am UK size 8. The top was ok, if not the best quality, but the shorts were for a Barbie doll! I emailed saying it could not possibly be a set as the 2 parts were totally different fits and was told they'd send another pair of shorts but would not pay the return postage on the first pair. The replacement arrived and is still way too small, despite being Large. Disappointing after all the hassle. Would not buy from them again.
Do not trust this company
Do not trust this company. They can't be this bad so can only assume they intend to keep the money and run. The occasional passive email promising a refund for a product that did not materialise is not not enough, when it seems they have no intention of provide the refund. So they still have my money and the shirt I have paid for, up to 3 months since saying they will refund, and 6 months after order. Scam
Very slow delivery
I ordered a jersey based on one I’d seen a friend wearing which I liked the design of. Received my order today four weeks after ordering, quality is OK but not amazing for the price. Tracking number provided did not work either, not even sure it exists or there is a named courier. I think if it worked you’d be tracking a ship somewhere.
I suspect the items are drop shipped / from China given the extended delivery times.
10 weeks to receive my goods
10 weeks to receive my goods. Emails were ignored and even went through instagram for response. Not impressed at all and I think in future I would rather spend £20 more and get products in 48hrs. This company is not set up for decent communication or decent delivery time. Don’t bother and don’t be fooled by the prices.
Spend your money with a UK based company
Do not use this company scam artists. My delivery arrived after 4 weeks the top was enormous and the legs on the shorts baggy. Contacted and Jay from customers services got back quickly. Emailed photos and he agreed that it was not up to standard and they would send out replacements. I have returned the originals to the London address and after 5 weeks received nothing. Con men.
Update the items arrived on the 13th August. The shorts fit really well and are large size, I'm a 34" waist according to QJ my size should be XXXL
Top arrived very late (4weeks) and when…
Top arrived very late (4weeks) and when asked for an update, that information was not mine. However my top has arrived, it fits and does the job.
Please, please, please avoid
By every measure, a terrible place to shop. They offer tiny discounts on all items so that when you follow their sizing and the jersey is still two sizes too large, they can point you to their T&C’s (very small print) that states they do not offer credit or returns on ‘sale’ items.
Four months later, I’ve still not received my socks (although having asked for a refund several times) and the jersey that is clearly at least two sizes too large is still waiting to go back. They promised 10% discount and to resend the items over a month ago, but still radio silence
They have no intention of running a successful business, it seems to be more akin to a car boot sale that’s online.
Please avoid, and spend a little more money on better quality from reputable shops.
Slow, unresponsive and untrustworthy
Have waited over a month to receive my item. They don't reply to emails, or if they do are unhelpful in their response. Not worth the hassle and wish I had have shopped somewhere else.
Shocking service, never use Quirky jerseys
Paid for a jersey four weeks ago, I was immediately sent a message to say it was dispatched and given a tracking number. The tracking number didn’t exist in the system so the writing was on the wall from the start. Three weeks later I still had not received the jersey so I sent an email to the company but have not received a reply. A week later I received an email from the company asking me to leave a review my purchase. Shocking!! It is now a another week on, still haven’t received anything or a reply from the company. Just to give an update, I managed to get through to the company on instagram and the jersey arrived seven weeks after it was ordered. I am happy with the jersey’s quality though.
Great company
Ordered a top for my partner which was too big. QJ kindly accepted a return and replaced it. Hassle free and great customer service.
Waited 5 weeks for an XXXL cycle shirt…
Waited 5 weeks for an XXXL cycle shirt to arrive. When it finally got here it was a Medium. Have emailed for the last day and a half to hear what they propose to do and have heard nothing. Maybe this will get me a response.
