Terrible experience of a builder. I would never recommend and advise buyer beware. Make sure you register the works with a trusted body to avoid getting scammed like we did if unfortunate enough to not yield to the warning.
We trusted Quote Builders ltd with a major renovation of our home, but unfortunately the owner James (Jay) was inexperienced and bit off more than he could chew, leaving our house abandoned, exposed, a huge mess and now with rodent issues. It was later revealed to us that the property he used to demonstrate his previous work was done by another builder, so he used completely fake and false pretences to get the job.
Additionally he had not been paying the majority of his contractors, causing them to walk off the job. He later blamed us, the customer, due to a request to pay 5% of the costs in cash even though over 95% was paid via bank transfer + VAT. He will respond to this review with that saying we didn’t want to pay some VAT for a minuscule amount and that’s what caused his issues, but does not excuse the way our home was abandoned after paying over 95% of the total cost of the project. We even had to pay for our own skip and pay the scaffolders ourselves as he owed outstanding balances and they refused to come. When confronted to complete the job within 28 days or return money paid upfront for work outstanding and incomplete, the owner then demanded all monies upfront to complete the work including asking for extras that had either not been agreed, already paid for or not yet completed. He continually uses tricks to get you to pay for him to start the next phase without completing previous phases due to what we now understand to be cash flow issues and inexperience in the building trade for works of this nature. We also learnt from his contractors that this is not the first time.
With young kids in the house our extension was left with no roof coverings, no kitchen, electrical dangers, exposed and incomplete bricking, uneven flooring, health and trip hazards, exposed drainage and dangerous equipment left around the place in reach of children.
We have now started court proceedings to claim back money and sue for damages to our home. Do not use.

They carry out work to specifications and in a professional manner.
They are reliable and jept me informed throughout the project.
I have used their services for the past two years.

My experience with this company was truly outstanding They have creative ideas combined with professionalism and courtesy They helped me make the best use of limited spaces The team is cooperative and always leaves everything well organized at the end of the day which made the whole experience comfortable and reliable

Overall, I had a positive experience with Quote Builders. I sought their assistance following a poorly executed renovation by previous builders. The owner, James, and his team, demonstrated remarkable integrity and successfully completed the necessary work in a timely fashion.

The only observation I would offer is that their services are somewhat more expensive.

I can say that I was impressed with the short time that the work was completed the workers came early and finished late even though the sun was a bit hot - the work started with three men the first day but the last two days it was only two men that completed the finish - I was happy with the finish and the guys were very friendly and trustworthy

Amazing work carried out by quote builders , punctual and very professional.They kept me informed every step of the way , James and his team went above and beyond with my underpinning job ,i will definitely be using them again for my extension next year .

The downstairs of my home needed refurbishing due to water damage. I took the chance and took on Quote Builders Ltd to do the job. They did all new flooring,(porcelain and wood) painting and fitted a new kitchen.
I was very satisfied with all work undertaken. they were very helpful and friendly, being a single female they supported me in choosing the more appropriate and cost effected materials. Job was completed in time stated and cost was reasonable. would definitely use them again.

Clear communication and thorough work.
From our first discussions to completion of the work, communication was clear and precise. They worked out what was needed, did the work exactly when they said they would and it took exactly the time they said it would, too. Our building regulations certificate was signed off the next day without a single problem.
