A fantastic place to stay.
A fantastic place to stay.The setting is beautiful. The staff were very welcoming. We stayed in one of the Bothans, which was really lovely, and appreciated the complimentary gin and whiskey, mixers and biscuits to go with the teas and coffee. The distillery tour was interesting. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Distinctive drams
Raasay distillery are innovative and produces the finest spirit, they have a fantastic choice of maturation. Altogether it produces some of the finest drams you can buy. At 7 years old you would think it wouldnt be as sofisticated as many older scotches. The team are one big family and all take pride in efficiently getting you this liquid gold for you to savour. If you haven't tried their spirit you are missing out. Love it. Hope to get to the island soon. Slainte

Best whisky out there

Impressive delivery service
Impressive delivery service, all the more given the remote dispatch address. Knowing my delivery actually comes from Raasay, not some central warehouse on the mainland is important - it makes our connection with the island all the stronger.
As for the whisky itself it is pleasing that we can get such a good dram (draam) at a price ordinary mortals can afford. The specials too offer exciting flavours and are worth exploring.

WellI have known the island weel since 1962 when I first brought a school expedition there. I have used Borodale Hotel for an adult geology course with my wife. I knew the Gillies family and the Nicholson family and have followed the changes which have taken place. Drunk your first release now the Draam and will soon be ordering the cask strength to complete the set. All I have tasted is great and rival my local Northumbrian first release this month.
