Stayed at Rafleys resort I fuengirolla ,not a very nice experience ,now I’ve been told that I won’t get my breakage deposit back as there was damage ,,this is and utter lie as my husband and I are in our late 70 don’t no how we were supposed to damage anything as it takes us to get about ,,ihave been onto this company and cannot get any response it seems they just take your money and won’t let you fight your case .disgraceful

Shocking customer service, avoid at all costs
Arrived here on 28th August to a villa for our 60th birthday celebrations. The keys were handed to us by a friend of the owners.
On entering the villa it is lovely and spacious with good views and that is where the positives end unfortunately.
Dirty pillows , toilet brushes, old kitchen sponges and dirty dishcloth so definitely not covid cleaned. Also a completely dead plant in lounge. Exposed wires, bulbs not even put in light just left on side and its not even the right fitting .(we have 4 young children )
Still here and still waiting from correspondence from owner and Raffeys.
We are asking about the aircon that hasn't worked since we arrived and was told to just shut the door for it to work.
No one is interested in coming round to come and see us and answer our question for us.
There is no BBQ which it states in the amenities and also a shared indoor pool which we don't know where it is so it would be nice to be informed.
We told them about dirty pillowcases and were told we could wash them, remembering this was on the first day.
I can supply any upcoming interested parties of the numerous emails that that been sent WhatsApp messages not being answers and calls if we are not to be believed.
The customer service here is appalling and everyone is passing the buck.
We have spent a lot of money to hire this villa and is the worst money ever spent!

Villa Aquarelle by Rafleys Costa del Sol
Villa Aquarelle, Calle Acuario de Riviera, Mijas Costa,
When we checked in the representative who met us at the villa could not speak English and was therefore not able to answer any questions.
There was very little information at the villa on how anything worked.
Calls to the emergency number were not answered.
During my holiday I contacted Rafleys by telephone 24 times, I also e mailed and WhatsApped them. The only response was a discussion on the 11th August with Rafleys representative Julia who asked me to put my concerns in writing which I did straight away on the morning of 11th August. She said she would resolve the issues but this did not happen.
The following issues were reported:
The Air conditioning was not working in a number of rooms during the whole week of our stay making it impossible to sleep in those rooms..
We had a small amount (2 showers) of hot water on the first day and then no hot water for the rest of the week. We had to boil kettles!!
The small bedroom on bottom floor was invested with ants, they were all over the mattress, walls and furniture. The room/beds could not be used resulting in some of our party having to share beds.
The pool was very dirty when we arrived, the pool cleaner came later that evening but that was the only time during our whole stay. He did say he would attend on the Saturday but did not turn up. The pool filter was not working when we arrived and the fountain was broken.
The electricity went off constantly, one day it went off 8 times in 15 minutes. One evening it went off at 11pm and we could not get it back on, we had to dispose of a freezer full of food that had defrosted overnight.
The bathroom door in the main bathroom (Top floor) did not close.
The cleanliness in the Villa was very poor. We had to clean the bathroom on the bottom floor when we arrived and showers in all bathrooms were disgusting.
The upper external stair wall was unstable and moved on tough. This is extremly dangerous and could have caused serious injury.
Shutter door lock broken on ground floor
The alarm kept going off randomly
The pool lights were not working.
There were not sufficient sheets for our party. (12 for 16 people)
There were not sufficient towels for our party (14 for 16 people)
The plants in the Villa were dead
One of the duvets was shredded and could not be used.
The door to the garage was unlocked and there was no key to lock it. This meant anyone using the garage would have un-authorised access to the villa as it was not secure.
Other points to note:
In the details online there is not mention of the large number of stairs to ascend to get into the villa, we had 2 elderly/infirm guests with us who had real difficulty getting up the stairs and who therefore could/did not leave the villa all week.
There were only 6 sunbeds available for 16 people
There were no bannisters on the internal stairs making it very difficult for our older guests
The exposed wiring in the villa would be a hazard especially if there were young children staying.
I cannot express how upsetting this has been, I understand there could be issues but would expect them to resolved quickly while we were there. I tried many times to contact Rafleys to get the issues resolved, I called repeatedly every day while I was there. The service was abysmal, I would not recommend booking this villa or using Rafleys as an agent.
AVOID this company
AVOID this company! After paying in full months in advance via booking.com, they cancelled my reservation a mere 48 hours before check in and with no valid reason. They offered alternative accommodation which was in an inconvenient location and a lot further out than my original booking. After reading other reviews from customers it seems they have the habit of doing this. I have booked alternative accommodation with another provider. Be wary when booking with this company!

Being fobed off that it is the owners issue and not the company’s even though they take a €500 deposit from you incase of any damages. Loads of damage already here when arrive. Disgusting company do not book through them.

This company does not respond to complaints. We stayed in villa Solea (not the villa we actually booked, having been advised less than 48 hours before we arrived that the previous occupants had tested positive for covid, this turned out to be incorrect and villa was double booked). We had a number of issues with the villa, mainly no hot water in one bathroom, the pool was not safe to use, a broken window over 1 of the beds, both of these are health and safety issues. We had a number of other issues, too many to mention. This villa was being sold as a luxury villa and it is very far from luxury. Rafleys you should be ashamed of yourselves not responding to serious complaints, you have all the photos we sent and clearly can see for yourselves all the problems.

We used Rafleys to help us find our first long-term rental in La Cala Mijas. They were very professional and supportive throughout our stay. They were at the end of a phone if ever we needed help or advice. The team were very friendly and went the extra mile always. We would be very happy to recommend them.
**Beware British Holidaymakers**
**Beware British Holidaymakers** We lost over €2000 with this company during the pandemic. They would not extend the credit note when we were unable to travel during travel restrictions to Spain. No ABTA cover. No refund & now no communication. Disgraceful. I even received an email to give me arrival instructions and was then told to disregard that. I'd love to know who is enjoying our money!!

I had a lovely stay at Malibu Mansions
I had a lovely stay at Malibu Mansions. A great home away from home, a gated community with a pool just outside the apartment. The apartment was very well equipped, clean and had an amazing terrace with stunning seaviews. It even had a fast and stable internet connection. Highly recommend and looking forward to come back again.

We had a lovely stay at the villa, we enjoyed the view, location was great , lots of restaurants, beach near, and supermarkets. The villa had all we required for our stay.
We would suggest maybe more towels, and to get a new iron board, and more linen for the beds.
And we would suggest the barbecue area be looked at and cleaned up. The downstairs bedrooms need up to date air conditioning.
We would return to this villa.

We stayed in the Townhouse 3BR at Marina Sol, the house was beautiful with a nice view. Everything was clean the people of Rafleys were very helpful and kind. The pool was also very nice.

Sejour à malibu mansions
We had a pleasant stay. It is a very beautiful residence. The apartment is very clean and very well equipped with a sea view. The pleasant and attentive staff.
The residence and the apartment are suitable for families with children. The sea is a 10-minute walk away. Otherwise there is a shuttle. In the surroundings there is everything you need for shopping within 5 minutes by car. I will be back with pleasure my family and me.
