Not the Best POS

Everytime there has been an "improvement," there tends to be something that is removed that you were using; especially in reports.
There have been multiple occasions where after receiving the product, the quantity has not been added to the product. It is hard to keep an accurate inventory.
You were forced to use their credit card system. Multiple occasions where the system quits working and the credit card terminals have to be rebooted.

We love the RAIN POS system

We love the RAIN POS system. We've mastered it to the point that it will do everything we need it to do for us. My only reason for not giving it five stars: I only wish that suggestions for improvements or feature updates that we request would get implemented without others having to ask for the same feature before it is even considered or addressed. Also, we had two issues serious enough to get sent up the chain for "developers" to look at, and it took months for the issues to get resolved. In one case, it should have been addressed within hours or no longer than a day at most (our online store was applying discounts where it shouldn't have.) It was over a month before we heard anything.

Your support team is a strong point for your brand. Very knowledgeable, patient, and kind. They represent you well.

DEEPLY regret moving to Rain

Straight up lied to get me to sign up. Lack of expertise. There is no continuity of support- call 5 times for the same reason and get 5 different people who have to start from scratch on the problem. Unable to get basic info on my inventory and don't even get me started on how much $ i have lost on my website since we switched. It is rare that anything gets resolved within a weeks time. Nightmare from migration forward.

The POS system did not do what we…

The POS system did not do what we wanted it to do even though they claimed it would! Then when we asked for a refund it was a big NO. If there were - stars it would be a -10 score!! We are still waiting on an explanation on the situation from January this year. The word CROOK'S come to mind.

Rainb is OK, too bad they dont care to make it great

Support response time is wayyy too long. Also, they cant get anything done for you (me). There are inconsistencies in the reports, reports are poorly thought out and constructed. Screens are poorly laid out. There is a theme, the user can find the info, or do whatever, but its going to require two screens and three reports. Also, feedback goes nowhere

its ok...

the software accomplished what i needed... POS capabilities, inventory tracking, vendor management, etc. The dissapointing part is the customer support (i've waited months for responses on items) and the website creation/support/functionality). If you want an appealing website and the ability to change it how you want it and to be innovative... this would not be the solution.

My experience today with the customer…

My experience today with the customer serice rep was good but overall my experience with RAIN POS has been bad. The key issue is that the transfer of data to our QB Cesktop hasn't worked propoerly and no one seem to be able to fix it or give us an honest assessment of what to do. Someone from develpoment should call me

Very bad experience - avoid if you are a new business

If I could give a sub-0 review of the RAIN POS system I would. My dream was to set up an online fabric store and I met the RAIN team at their booth at the Huston Quilt Show. The initial people I met with were very thoughtful and helpful, so when offered the chance to use their platform at a "Black Friday" discount I took it. I spent over a month setting up my site and all was well, up until the launch day when I was turned over to their standard customer support. Apparently, because mine was a new store with no revenue yet, my business had a very low priority. My assigned agent did not respond to my e-mails. It was so bad at one point that I actually called their company to make sure they were still in business. I launched the store in May and got absolutely no traffic. RAIN POS promised to help with SEO. In July I googled my store URL and my site did not come up. I typed in keywords that I used throughout my site and my site did not come up. I stopped the service and am out $2,300 with nothing to show for it. When my site account was closed I received the backlog of support emails I had sent over several months that my lovely tech support agent ignored in one fell swoop. Avoid this company if you are just starting out.
