Do Dham Yatra-Bad Experience
I am Raja from Muscat, and I would like to share my disappointing experience with Rajputana Cab during my Do Dham Yatra (6 Days / 5 Nights).
I found the Rajputana Cab WhatsApp number online and sent an inquiry for the tour package. Mr. Kansingh (6350027596) responded, negotiated the package, and finalized the booking. The assigned driver was Narendra Singh (9928084928).
Day 1 – Haridwar (Hotel Balaji)
The hotel provided was of very poor quality. The rooms were not properly maintained or clean. The lift was in a very bad condition and felt unsafe. The dining area was unhygienic, and after seeing the cleanliness standards, we did not feel comfortable eating there.
Day 2 – Sonprayag / Sitapur Accommodation Issue
I had specifically requested accommodation at Sonprayag or Sitapur. However, the operator intentionally booked accommodation at Phata, apparently to reduce costs. Normally, the journey from Phata to Sonprayag takes around one hour, but due to heavy traffic, it took nearly seven hours. As a result, I lost approximately six valuable hours of my pilgrimage because of this poor planning.
Day 3 – Kedarnath Accommodation Issue
I had informed the operator in advance that I wanted a homestay booking at Kedarnath. After reaching Kedarnath, I was informed that only camp accommodation had been arranged. This was not what had been promised. I had to spend my own money and make alternative accommodation arrangements.
Day 4 – Return from Kedarnath
The operator had booked accommodation at Chopta. However, because of the delay at Sonprayag, we returned from Kedarnath around 10:00 PM. Considering the late hour and the physical exhaustion after trekking, I requested accommodation near Sonprayag. The operator refused and insisted on following the original plan. Therefore, I had to book accommodation at Sitapur using my own money.
Day 5 – Chopta / Badrinath Accommodation Issue
Accommodation was booked at Badrinath. We visited Tungnath, but due to heavy snowfall, we could only return around 9:00 PM. I requested accommodation near Chopta because of the weather conditions and late return. Again, the operator refused to assist, forcing me to make my own booking in Chopta at my own expense.
Package Cost Concern
During this 5-day journey, I effectively used only 2 days of the accommodations arranged by the operator. For the remaining 3 nights, I had to arrange and pay for accommodation myself due to their poor planning and refusal to cooperate. I requested a reduction in the package cost to reflect these additional expenses, but the operator completely ignored my request.
Driver Feedback – Narendra Singh
The driver was not cooperative and lacked professionalism. He was frequently talking on the phone while driving, which raised safety concerns. His overall attitude and work discipline were disappointing.
Operator Feedback – Kansingh
In my experience, the operator was focused only on reducing costs and maximizing profit rather than providing quality service. There was a lack of professionalism, customer care, and ethical business practices throughout the trip.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I would advise travelers to confirm all hotel and accommodation arrangements in writing before booking and to be cautious when dealing with this tour operator.
