We place great importance on user experience and data privacy; user data is never shared with or accessible to third parties. Instead of offering generic advice like "smile more," every comment focuses on actual elements within the user's photos—such as lighting, framing, posture, background, and the first impression created by each shot. The scoring system is also tailored to local dating cultures; for instance, profiles from Türkiye are evaluated based on local dating norms rather than American standards. Premium features are offered via one-time payments rather than subscriptions: "Starter" ($4.90) unlocks a full evaluation; "Match" ($9.90) provides three days of unlimited evaluations along with an AI-powered bio-writing tool; and "Peak" ($17.90) adds a seven-day progress tracking feature to these benefits. RateSelf also offers an AI-powered photo enhancement tool that improves a user's weakest photo without altering their facial features, a free "best profile photo" selector, and a general statistics page based on real, anonymized evaluation data.
