Scamming customers into buying support

The software is great, but they try to scam existing costumers and that is why I would stay away from their products.

In short: they changed their activation ip address without changing it in their software. If you contact their customer support they claim it is an issue with your OS or security software, but the solution provided points at a different activation server. Which has nothing to do with your settings of OS or security software. So they purposely create an error and if you want to solve it you got to pay them. That is scamming 101 and a disgrace. Luckily I am a bit tech savvy and I was able to add a line to the hosts file which forces the correct ip address to be used, but most customers will be forced to pay extra to keep using the software. I have the original order e-mail, their cs responses as well as the solution in my possession to prove this all if needed. Bbb has been informed as well. Stay Away!
