My Dog had conditions which RBB never…

My Dog had conditions which RBB never informed us about, terrible company, went to new Vets last year, I am still looking into this through the legality of their unprofessional conduct.

Do yourselve a favour, Go To “Bramble and Bear” vets, warm welcome, and unlike RBB they don’t have the invoice printed before you have left the consultation room.

Mr Barker, and Ms Brock used to have a good reputation, what ever happen to the unprofessional conduct, our insurance were always reluctant to pay them…. I wonder why?

How times change…..

Extremely Disappointing First Experience – Unprofessional Communication

I had high hopes for Rogers, Brock & Barker, especially after my initial registration. However, my first experience with the Abbey Hulton branch was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional.
When I registered my dog, Theo, I clearly stated that I wanted him to see Dr. Paul exclusively for non-emergency appointments, as I highly value continuity of care. Unfortunately, this request was not respected, leading to unnecessary confusion.
On the day of my appointment, I received a call from Claire, one of the staff members, informing me that my appointment had been rescheduled because the vet was unwell. While I fully understand that emergencies happen, the manner in which Claire handled the situation was unacceptable. She repeatedly cut me off, was dismissive when I tried to clarify my preferences, and spoke over me. When I calmly explained that people sometimes repeat themselves when feeling insecure, she accused me of being rude and abruptly hung up the phone.
This left me feeling disrespected and frustrated, especially given that this was my first interaction with the clinic. To make matters worse, I never received a follow-up or resolution, despite the Practice Manager, Lauren Cowie, promising an investigation within 20 working days. It has now been over a month, and I have yet to hear back.
I am now seeking a resolution through other channels, but I would advise potential clients to be cautious. If you are looking for a practice that treats both pets and owners with professionalism, respect, and transparency, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Amazing vets for my two rabbits 💗

When we first moved to the area our darling female rabbit Celestine became unwell and we got very concerned.
We were able to register her and her bonded mate Shadow very quickly.
They saw her the same day we called the service was fantastic.
She is all better now and I want to give a special thanks to Alison, Gracie and Lauren for all their help with her appointments and payments 🌟

My dog is dead - yours could be next!

Always demand Best Practice procedures are used on your pet - in my opinion this vet practice killed my pet Bichon Frise dog - took a complaint to the RCVS who were a resounding disappointment and performed their awful investigation without even asking a single question to the vets in question - the vet failed to medicate my dog fully and properly for her condition - she died after 3 days with them as they failed to prescribe life saving anti clotting medication that is essential as stated by RCVS knowledge database, Pet Blood Bank UK, PDSA and many others - they refused to answer our questions about her death and their failures, they failed to adhere to the RCVS code of conduct in several areas and they have constantly refused face to face meetings to answer our questions - awful service - I would now avoid at all costs and would not recommend them to anyone - my dog is dead - yours could be next! IMHA is a common health problem in animals and they didn’t treat it properly or fully with anti clotting medications - upon diagnosis it is essential to prescribe anti clotting meds as part of the correct treatment - we told them on 2 occasions we were concerned about her breathing and they said they weren’t - she died after 3 days with them in absolute breathing distress - incompetent and negligent - vet said he would not answer any of our questions and would not allow any member of the team to speak to us and put the phone down on me - I am writing this in the public interest as I believe that other animals may suffer the same fate and are at risk of death - the RCVS investigation as far as I’m aware have not asked a single question of the actual vet - will we ever get an independent veterinary ombudsman to properly and fully investigate incompetent vets - imagine your pet of 9 years is killed by such negligence and incompetence and then you are told that I won’t answer any of your questions and you won’t be able to speak to any of the team - I’m blocking it and then he puts the phone down - I’ll say it again - my dog is dead and your pet could be next!! All this has been reported to the RCVS stating all the above and more - you make up your own mind but I am writing this review in the public interest - it is essential that you ask that your animal is treated using Best Practice procedure for its complaint - we consulted another vet and his opinion was clear and absolute and confirmed that anti clotting medication is essential medication for animals diagnosed and being treated for IMHA and it is Best Practice to prescribe anti clotting medication as an essential part of the treatment for IMHA - this essential treatment has been recommended for years but it wasn’t used on my pet - Why? My complaint continues and it’s now 15/10/24 and my dog died in January 2023

Rude and Unproffesional

Rogers, Brock & Barker Veterinary Surgeons - Longton - Cannot answer phone, takes multiple tries, rude when they answer (stressed as understaffed - In their own words) - My partners dog is now dying due to there negligence and cannot be reversed. Blood tests not looked at properly, staff with no idea of the dog or situation made to call us, admitting they have only just read the file. AVOID this surgery at all costs. Especially Emma who works on reception. When politlely confronted about them NEVER answering the phone whilst needing urgent advice for a dog dying of Kidney failure (could of been prevented if they read results properly) Emma's repsonse was 'Well i've answered now haven't i?' Very unproffesional and rude. Switched Vets and got a cheeky letter saying they won't give my partners dog care anymore, good job we switched vets anyway as you are useless! Instead of looking into the situation they find the time to write a cheeky letter saying they won't look after the dog anymore. I hope they are ashamed of themselves. If your dog is ill PLEASE do not take it to this surgery. Anybody who needs further info please message me. Also please check out their negative google reviews. Thank you.
