RCC Furniture Reviews 

We placed an order in late July for a bespoke made extendable dining table (2.4m) and was advised of an 8-10 week lead time which took us to early October latest.

Despite multiple calls (as over email they were particularly unhelpful with generic responses), most of which went unanswered we struggled to get any update on delivery once the 10 weeks both approached and passed. We were messed around with delivery promising next week, then the week after etc and only after a one star review on trustpilot did we get a response.

At this point, we had called at least twice a week for 4 weeks and always told someone would get back to us - they never did. When we posted on trustpilot stating our frustration at still not receiving our table and at being unable to get an update, we finally had an email response from customer service stating:

'While I appreciate you maybe frustrated, we do have this in order and it will be with you shortly. What we don't appreciate is 1x reviews on trustpilot when you haven't even received the goods. It would be kind if the review could be removed so it has no interruption with your delivery'.

Being told to remove a review so as not to interrupt delivery is outrageous, and upon calling multiple times again to speak with them, after finally managing to get hold of someone, they were quite argumentative and frankly rude. We stated we would change the review upon delivery but we were at a loss of what to do due to the awful communication from RCC.

However, upon delivery at the very end of October (28th), the table is fantastic. We are absolutely thrilled with the quality and look and do believe it was fantastic value. We did have to apply 2 coats of oil to make it "pop" but that wasnt expensive and the table looks amazing.

The real shame here is how we were treated by RCC. Essentially ignored until a Trustpilot review and then threatened with no/delayed delivery as a result of the review when we were at our wits end. This is totally unacceptable and so easily rectifiable by RCC. My advice would be if you buy from them, in the long run it should be worth it, but there will be alot of pain along the way so do not order something if you need it within a certain timeframe.

Overall, we had to wait 13 weeks and that was after an incredible effort on our behalf to get in touch and find out what was going on. I don't mind waiting, but don't commit to 8-10 weeks when you clearly cant adhere to it.

Excellent service from start to finish. Easy to order and great communication. Table and bench arrived and are really pleased with it. Solid and good quality. Was a tad lighter than I thought, but £15 on some Briwax and now the colour I wanted. Only criticism is wish it had come with some form of sliders/plastic feet . But purchased and applied my own for a few £ and now no concerns about damaging my floor. Would use again

13.6.22- 7.51am I email to ask if their 8-10 week lead times are correct, as I am having new flooring put down, and could do without a vast table in the way
13.6.22 – 8.22am I receive a reply to say that yes the 8-10 week lead time is correct
13.6.22 – 12.03pm order placed and conformation of order received
14.6.22- £755 removed from my bank account
22.8.22 70 days post order – 9.13am I email to enquire where my order is as it has now been 10 weeks.
23.8.22 71 days post order – I receive :
“Hello
Thank you for your email, to confirm I can see we are just waiting for the return of the table frame from coating so as soon as we have this back we will be able to complete your order, we will be currently looking at approximately 2 weeks.
Let me know if you require anymore help"
7.9.22 86 days post order – 8.43am I ask where my order is, now having waited the 10 week lead time, + the extra 2 weeks stated in the above email.
7.9.22 13.36pm – I receive:
"Apologies, unfortunately due to the handmade nature of the items we make sometimes it can take longer if delays occur, I have chased this up and the steelwork is due to be back with us beginning of next week and then we can look to a delivery date for you, based on this information there will be no issues in getting a delivery date for this month for you and we will be in touch to confirm the details once in place.”
So essentially the previous email was a lie. Why does it take 2+ weeks to powder coat a table frame? I think I’d be looking at a different powder coater!! Why were they not sent prior to 10 weeks AFTER I ordered? As it turns out them waiting for the frame to come back from the powder coaters is 100% fabrication/ out right lie _ no one seems to know the answer but after asking these questions
16.9.22 7.30am 95 days post order -I enquire once AGAIN where my table is. ( Notice the pattern of ME chasing THEM, not THEM keeping me informed and up to date of any delay)
As I have noticed they are now claiming on their website, that items ordered before 2 October will arrive before Christmas… JOKES That’s 95 days….. but um I still don’t have a table- so are there going to be a lot of people eating their Christmas dinner off their laps?.
16.9.22 WOOOOO HOOOOO I'm told the table is completed. Note: no mention of when it will be delivered, date? Time?
21.9.22 8.58am 100 days post order (OVER 14 weeks!!!!) I enquire as to a delivery date….. because -SHOCK – no one has been in touch.
I get a delivery date of Fri 23rd Sept
No options for delivery, - no time, and the expectation that someone can be available to assist with 48hours notice….. People have to work to be able to afford the really rather expensive tables……
9.41am – I enquire f it is possible to deliver it after 1pm on the date THEY have chosen
date.
Not overly helpful, no other options offered, no other dates, times, let me see what I can do’s. So I ask if it is possible to schedule either a Saturday or a afternoon delivery.
This is apparently not possible.
23.9.22 – Guess what? They haven’t been back in touch to re arrange delivery, so I enquire as to whether I am going to have to wait a further 14 weeks for delivery…….
26.9.22 105 days a whole 15 weeks post order – new delivery date is given Thursday 29th September – cant guarantee that it will be in the afternoon, but by now I’m losing the will.
29.9.22 – Delivery chap calls me at 8.30am to enquire whether there is more than 2 people, ready to lift my table, as it took 3 of them to get it on the van! No mention of this previous, slightly hard to arrange, last minute, on a work day.
Delivery guy turns up. Not only do I have to help him lift my own delivery, but I also have to help him lift another large heavy frame out of his van before we can get to mine. We manage, Table is in – 108 days 15.5 weeks post order. But what’s this? Yellow spray painted numbers on the steel? – I enquire how to get these off. And ummmmm well, you’re not going to believe this, the frame has NOT been powder coated AT ALL, and the table is 242cm long not 245cm.
I relay this information, and they inform me that the wrong frame has been sent, and they’ll arrange a replacement – more of my time/ annual leave wasted – I don’t think so. So settle for a £100 refund – which after all the hassle/delays/ incorrectness I feel is LESS than generous.
As with some other reviews here, placing an order with RCC can turn into an absolute SAGA, cant say I’d be ordering anything again, nor recommending to friends.

We purchased our table form RCC and adore it. There was so much choice style wise and colours it so so hard to choose. We went with 533 in size 220cm. I can’t express how beautiful it is, they delivered it well within time advised, wrapped safety with all the bits we needed. We actually altered our delivery instructions last minute and RCC were happy to accommodate and did so immediately without question and were so lovely. It looks gorgeous in our kitchen/living/diner and have had so many compliments on it!

I looked everywhere for an industrial style concrete table and couldn’t find any that were less than £2000. I stumbled across RCC on Instagram and found the exact table I needed/wanted. I emailed directly for more pictures and the staff were so helpful, even sending me a sample of the table! I needed the table by the 3rd September but this was before the expected 8-10 week lead time. I spoke with them direct and asked if it could be guaranteed for this date and they worked so hard and made sure it was delivered by the date! I am so happy with my amazing table- it is definitely a showstopper in my house! Thank you to RCC for making my experience so easy and enjoyable.

Couldn’t be happier with the table and benches. It’s perfect. I love the fact it’s been made in the UK and the quality of craftsmanship is superb. The table was personalised to my requirements and I decided a few weeks after I’d ordered the table that I’d like benches. RCC accommodated this change of order and all items were delivered at the same time. I’m based in the Highlands and they were happy to arrange delivery which is great as sometimes this can be tricky.

What an amazing company based in Sheffield using Sheffield raw steel and reclaimed timber to create beautiful bespoke furniture. And all at a fantastic price. We bought a table, bench and chairs and are absolutely thrilled with them.

We are really pleased with our new dining table and bench from RCC. We visited the showroom before ordering and liked that there were samples available so that we could compare table finishes to our flooring- lots of companies don’t offer this. We went for wax finish in the end. We love our new table and would recommend 😀

We ordered a dining table from RCC and the table arrived is excellent condition. The drivers were friendly and assembled the table in our chosen room.

A few months down the line we had one issue with the table and RCC sent someone back to fix it (nothing major, they just had to clamp the panels closer togethe)

I'm so impressed with them that I am now buying another dining table with a matching bench to use elsewhere.

Highly recommend and wouldn't look elsewhere.

This is one of the worst companies I’ve ever dealt with. Customer service is shocking. The phone number 01142423559 doesn’t work and the other number 3080555 nobody ever answers. They don’t respond to emails and when they do it’s like a 5 year old has responded. The delivery time was over what was quoted and three times they cancelled due to issues their end. Best one was lorry not big enough for table?!?! When I finally did receive I had to help carry in as one of the delivery drivers didn’t seem strong enough.
The quality of it is rubbish nothing like what is advertised. There are stains and marks all over the raw metal legs and no wax as stated on the wood top. It’s not old wood but fresh new wood so therefore is moving and drying as I write this review. The wood has been placed wrong and therefore is splitting as it’s drying. Arranged for them to come and sort and they forgot to show up. Have received another time and date sent by said 5 year old for a date that I had already said I can’t do. We purchased this table at Christmas and I’m really hoping that it is sorted before Christmas this year.
I’m all for supporting local companies but respect works both ways.
If you have a spare year feel free to give them a go.

After a bit of grief getting our damaged table top replaced Dave turned up today and within minutes the old top was off and the new one on this guy is literally a hero the table now looks fantastic better than the one advertised on the website we couldn’t be happier.
We have had some issues getting to this point but now everything is resolved and we have a truly amazing table. Daves customer relations and interactions are superb, And his speed and skill at replacing a very heavy table top were admirable. It may have taken some time but 10/10 product and service.
This is not how we felt a few months ago but all now forgotten and RCC have totally redeemed themselves and more with the quality of this table.

Whilst I waited longer than expected for my washbasin stand it was so worth the wait. It’s even more beautiful when you see it in the photos. Exactly what I wanted for my bathroom and whilst I had originally ordered the wrong size the team were quick to change this for me. Thank you RCC. Dining table and garden furniture for us next.

Ordered a table, bench and chair from RCC. Bloke in the warehouse/shop really accommodating as we kept changing our minds!! 😂😂 so many lovely tables to see and choose from..... and we were probably very fussy customers. Kept updated of the delivery date via phone and e mail. Delivered as agreed. The delivery bloke was so nice, went out of his way to explain ongoing care even giving me a bit of wax and cloths from his own supply.

It looks better than we could have ever imagined. We'll definitely be ordering some outside furniture.

Beautiful tables, really well made and delivered on time

Excellent quality table and bench delivered recently and the delivery service was excellent, table put in place, assembled, packaging removed and very friendly service. I would recommend this company, you might have to wait for the furniture to be built but well worth the wait.

My partner and bought our table and bench back in March when we moved into our first home.
The wait time was 10 weeks but oh my, it was worth it.
The delivery man was friendly and helpful and called when he was one hour away which meant we didn’t have to sit in all day waiting.
The quality of the materials used are outstanding. A real one of a kind build that you wouldn’t find anywhere else.
Will definitely buy from RCC again and recommend to our friends and family.
