Hired them to fill my tax return and got countless and endless headaches. Avoid this company at all costs!
Some of the issues:
- The tax return was sloppy and full of missing information/mistakes. They couldn't even fill my address correctly! I lost several hours calling CRA support to fix their mess.
- Good luck getting a reply from them. It took me months and insistent calls/emails to hear back from them. Finally the excuse was that "the responsible person was away due to personal matters/vacation/other issues" (the excuse varied)
- When they do reply, it is almost always an incomplete answer. You make 3 questions and get 1 answer.
- Finally got my CRA account blocked due to a cyber incident on RealTax side! Now God knows what is/will happen to my personal data. Well done RealTax!
- Cherry on top: they removed their Google Maps info trying to hide their horrendous 2.x stars!

Summary: gave them my money to get sloppy work, my personal data leaked God knows where, and a ton of mess to clean up!

I have been a client of this company since 2022. On March 25, 2025, I received an email notification from CRA regarding a change to my account. Upon accessing my CRA account, I noticed that I had been the victim of fraud involving my data. My CRA account showed a previously filed tax return with significantly different amounts and a balance due/refund of almost CA$23,000.00. I noticed that my bank details, email address, and marital status had been altered. The rest of the information was correct. All of this has caused, and continues to cause, a terrible headache, resulting in my wife's child benefit being interrupted, thus significantly impacting our finances. Furthermore, my CRA account remains blocked, and my 2024 and 2025 tax returns have not been processed due to this inconvenience. I spent many hours on the phone calling the CRA and other agencies to validate and prove the fraud I suffered, sending documentation, and other things. I do not recommend this company, as they suffered a cybersecurity attack on their computer infrastructure and did not try to support us financially with the complications we faced. A few months later, they offered a 1-year credit monitoring subscription. This does not solve the problem and does not help in any way. Dozens of other people who were also victims like me are taking legal action against this company.
