I signed up for RebatesMe thinking it…
I signed up for RebatesMe thinking it would be an easy way to earn some cash back, but the experience has been nothing but confusion and disappointment.
The site clearly says:
“You will be able to cash out this amount once your total payable Cash Back amount reaches $10.”
Nowhere does it mention that the $10 has to come only from cashback and not bonuses. I followed all the steps, made a qualifying purchase, and reached over $10 payable — but they still refused to release my bonus.
When I contacted support, I got robotic replies that just repeated the same script instead of actually helping. The policies are written in a deliberately unclear way to make it sound like you’ll get your bonus easily, when in reality, they make you jump through endless hoops and wait months.
I genuinely wanted to like this platform, but it feels dishonest. The lack of transparency and misleading information make it seem like RebatesMe is designed to confuse people into missing out on their bonuses.
Save yourself the frustration there are plenty of cashback sites out there that are upfront about their terms and actually honor what they promise.

After reviewing your account, our team did clearly explain via email that the sign-up bonus becomes available once a user earns at least $10 in confirmed cashback from qualifying purchases. Bonuses and promotional credits don’t count toward that $10 minimum.
This requirement is outlined in our Terms & Conditions and helps ensure all bonuses are issued only after valid cashback activity is confirmed by the merchant.
We understand the wording can feel confusing at first, and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We’ll continue working to make RebatesMe more transparent and user-friendly.

Absolutely the worst cashback experience of my life. Warning! This company will not pay you your cash back. They have one goal, which is to skim off the top of the orders you place with vendors. Do not trust! They lie!
