Highly Recommend Rebel Book Club

I’ve been a member of Rebel Book Club for about 5 years and I absolutely love it!
From the get-go it’s been more than just a book club. It pushes me to read non-fiction books I probably wouldn’t pick up otherwise, across themes that challenge, inspire, and broaden my thinking. The community is warm and welcoming full of people who want to learn, question, and grow. The meetups and virtual events are always well run. Highly recommend!

More Than a Book Club — A Community for Growth

I joined Rebel Book Club 8 years ago, and it’s been one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve made. In that time, I’ve read countless books I never would have picked up on my own - stretching my thinking, expanding my perspective, and keeping me out of the comfort of my own bubble.

What makes Rebel special is more than just the books. It’s the discussions, the chance to learn directly from authors, the creativity of the community, and the way the founders have built something truly inclusive and inspiring. During the pandemic, for example, the team kept us connected with inventive new ways of coming together - something I’ll always be grateful for.

Eight years on, I’m still proud to be a member. Rebel Book Club isn’t just about reading, it’s about curiosity, connection, and growth. If you’re looking for a book club that challenges and inspires you long-term, this is the one.

Outstanding ❤️

Outstanding ❤️

I was hesitant about joining Rebel Book Club as I didn’t know anyone and wondered if I would feel awkward or uncomfortable. I only wish I had joined sooner. Every single book has been a fantastic read - books I would never normally pick up but ones which have introduced me to new ideas and encouraged me to make changes for the better in so many aspects of my life.

The discussions are always so interesting, and most of all, the ‘warm community’ spoken of is really real! I have met many like minded people and been made to feel welcome every single time. I look forward to the events, I read more, I know more, I’m on my phone less. RBC is one of London’s best kept secrets, run by people who just want to create a beautiful community with great vibes. Amazing work!

Thanks Ban!

So glad you took the leap despite those initial hesitations - it’s lovely to have you in the community and to see you at both our official events and the member-led ones.

I joined Rebel Book Club using their…

I joined Rebel Book Club using their 6-in-12-months membership back in 2024, and this year it was a no-brainer to renew.

There are so many five-star aspects to RBC – from the thoughtful onboarding and community building, through to the expertly curated in-person events – that prove that the team behind the book club want to deliver an incredibly high quality experience.

In a world of AI slop, Rebel Book Club is the perfect antidote. The theme for each month is chosen with care, and having the option to vote for one of three books means that I always feel as if I've been taken on an engaging journey towards being part of each month's topic.

I go to the London events and they're always so warm and welcoming, with a team of people ready to greet newbies – or welcome back oldies like me.

But if I had to pick just one thing that stands out the most from Rebel Book Club, it's the way it fosters a joy of discovery. I end up reading books that I wouldn't necessarily have picked up otherwise (life's too busy and too short!) which opens up my world to a point of view or insights or life experiences that I wouldn't have found otherwise.

100% recommend becoming a member – I hope I'll get to see you at a London event soon!

A great find

A great find! The Club does an amazing job setting topics, finding good books within a topic and organizing the Community. I love sharing the experience of reading great books with other readers in different countries.

A great community for continuous learning and development

I’ve been a member of RBC for nearly 3 years and always recommend it to friends and colleagues. The theme each month is always something different, often suggested by members themselves. It’s pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me stay curious by giving me an opportunity to explore topics I might not initially be drawn to. The team are incredible and passionate, I always enjoy the variety in the virtual and in-person events. It’s also an incredible community, friendly, open-minded and committed to learning/self-improvement.

Loving this non-fiction community

Highly recommended. Since joining a year ago, I've read so many non-fiction books i would not have otherwise picked up. Being outside one of the main city hubs, I haven't attended an in -person meet, but the monthly virtual clubs have been
super - smaller than I expected (max to date c 15 people), so plenty of opportunity to contribute, and always with relevant speakers as well as an excellent host. We've even had the author on a number of occasions. Highly recommended.

RBC expands your reading horizons

Rebel Book Club is great for expanding your reading horizons.

What makes RBC truly special is how it encourages me to pick up non-fiction books I otherwise wouldn't read: the theme each month brings something fresh, surprising and thought-provoking.

The community is one of the most friendly and inclusive I’ve come across. One of my main reasons for joiing (other than reading!) was to meet new, interesting people.

The in person events are fun and engaging, often sparking wide-ranging discussions that linger long after the evening ends.

Online chats are lively and insightful, covering everything from personal reflections to global perspectives. It’s a space where ideas flow freely and conversations challenge you to think differently.

If you're curious, open-minded, and love reading, you'll love Rebel Book Club.

Great book club!
I love how it takes me out of my comfort zone by selecting themes that I wouldn't usually pick for reading a book, and every single time the books are greatly written and the events are superb.
It's a great community of like-minded individuals who love to read and/or learn something new, and I'm honestly so grateful to have joined it.

I’ve absolutely loved being part of…

I’ve absolutely loved being part of Rebel Book Club. What makes it stand out from any other book club is the balance between thought-provoking, relevant non-fiction and the community that comes with it.
Every month I get pushed outside my usual comfort zone with books I probably wouldn’t have chosen myself – and that’s exactly the point.
The events (both online and in-person) are warm, inclusive, and full of interesting people who want to discuss big ideas without judgment. It’s so much more than just “reading a book”; it’s about connecting, sharing perspectives, and finding practical ways to apply the insights to real life.
The team behind Rebel Book Club are genuinely passionate and put a huge amount of effort into creating a welcoming and engaging space. If you want to read more, learn more, and feel part of a thoughtful, inspiring community, this is the perfect place.
Highly recommend to anyone curious, open-minded, and looking for something different from the usual book club experience!

10/10 recommend joining Rebel Book Club

I joined Rebel Book Club in 2022 after moving back to London and wanting to connect with more likeminded people, and am so glad I did! The members are all wonderful, interesting, fun people, and I walk away from every meet up feeling inspired and motivated! The book choices, organisation, conversation topics and ease of joining are all fantastic. I tended to read more fiction and wanted the motivation to expand more into non-fiction and Rebel Book Club has been great for this - I’ve uncovered so many new books in the process, and even met several authors at the events! If you’re considering joining, sign up now, your only regret will be not doing so sooner!

Rebel Book Club

I joined Rebel Book Club couple of years ago now. We cover a wide range of topics and I have to say the books we have read so far have really broadened my horizons and general knowledge. I wasn't a big non-fiction reader before, but now I definitely am!

RBC is also a very nice community of like-minded people, where members can safely share their thoughts and ideas whether it is related to the book or not. There are regular meet-ups and events and I have met some amazing and interesting people. I am looking forward to more learning and more friendships in the coming year :)

Rebel Book Club

Heard about this club on the R4 . Really got excited about how it was described . Was feeling so positive I paid the ludicrous sum of £120 . I delved into the messaging apps to find most of them inactive . The penny then dropped , it isn’t a book club , it’s a networking site which basically has about zero to do with book clubbing . For me it’s a scam . Please research it before diving in like I did . Disappointed doesn’t cut it . I shall be in touch with R4 . Basically they advertised it .

Incredible book club and community

I have been a member of the Rebel Book Club for close to a year now and really enjoyed and valued the experience.

The book choices every month have been incredible and reading these books has really widened my horizons. The attendance for the monthly events is hugely impressive with 100+ turning up every month. I have made some great connections and had some really interesting conversations with fellow members. The events are very well organised and fun to go to. The venues are cool, snacks and drinks are kindly provided and the speakers are captivating.

Would recommend the Rebel Book Club to all my peers.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry Rebel Book Club wasn't what you were looking for.

As a non-fiction book club serving curious minds since April 2015, we've read over 120 books with thousands of members across these 10+ years - one each month - covering topics from longevity and creativity to spirituality and happiness. While books are at the heart of what we do, our community discussions naturally explore wider themes and ideas, and we understand this format isn't suited to everyone's preferences.

When you expressed concerns about our community format, we immediately processed a full refund. We take member feedback seriously and act quickly to address any issues.

We wish you all the best in finding a book community that better matches your reading preferences.

Best regards,
The Rebel Book Club Team

Best book club for exploring new topics

As someone who tends to never finish non-fiction, I’ve read more books in the last 8 months, than the last five years! The community is friendly and it’s easy to fit in, even if you approach the topic from different viewpoints :) A special shout-out to the event organisation team who are always welcoming.

Non-fiction yay! Well organised & interesting people

I love that it's a non-fiction group, quite unusual! Really well organised, lots of interesting reads and friendly people. It's huge now which is a testament to its effectiveness and I found I generally only met new people each time - this is great as well as sometimes meaning it's harder to forge deeper relationships as a London resident trying to make new friends. Difficult to facilitate I realise! Overall a fab group, definitely recommend giving a go
