Urgent need to improve validation system

Using an AI system to correspond the signature of the customer against the application is a terrible idea. If I can provide another document that can clearly show the signature is mine, I should be able to upload and replace it, not waste time and money to go get a printout in order to imitate the exact signature curves so that your algorithm matches a clearly overlapping signature that has never been an issue in any of the legal documents signed. This process took way smoother through other providers, not recommended and waste of time.

Edit: to clarify further, the signature "mismatch" was due to a slanted version of my signature being present on my passport. your system doesn't allow this document to be updated, only the form. I've talked to your customer representative as well and have been informed that the only way was to re-print and re-sign, which is a waste of time, money and paper. the whole process took me 5 minutes at your competitor, which clearly tells me there is something that could be made better with your authentication process.

We would like to clarify that we do not use an AI system to verify signatures. All signature assessments are carried out manually by a specialized department with trained staff. As an eHerkenning provider, we are required to comply with the regulations and security requirements set by the electronic access services framework. If a signature does not sufficiently match the identification document, we are not permitted to accept it under these regulations. These requirements are in place to prevent fraud and misuse and to safeguard the security of users and organizations. These procedures are necessary to ensure the reliability and legal validity of eHerkenning.

Very cumbersome/slow procedure

Very cumbersome procedure which takes way too long while it could have been so much faster and leaner ... It took me 11 days to get the eHerkenning. There is no parallel processing while this could easily be done. One of the signatures was denied 3 times (!). A new form had to be sent again by postal mail (slow and not reliable). The final check with AMP is the most rigorous one (but quick), and includes all the needed items: copy of ID (incl. signature), live comparison with face and photo on ID etc. Why not do this at the beginning of the process with all the signatories and cut the rest of the crap ??? I called the helpdesk (the only PLUS: friendly people and no long waiting) 6 or 7 times during the process. They did push things forward just enough (after some "serious" begging) to finally get things done half a day before I had to leave for traveling abroad. Pfff ... Tip: if you apply for eHerkenning ensure you have singular authority so that only your signature is enough. This by-passes the postal mail part of the process (as far as I understood). Maybe this 1 star rating applies more to our government who wants us to use this totally and utterly lame system. Waste of money and time ... DigID is working perfectly and certainly just as safe (and free !).

Your feedback on the postal mail and handwritten signatures has been noted and is understood. We are currently focusing on developing newer, more digitalized processes for applying for eHerkenning, while staying within the rules set for eHerkenning Service Providers.
It is very important to us that eHerkenning is only issued to individuals who have been authorized by the majority of the organization’s authorized representatives. One of the checks we are required to perform in our current process, as mandated by our regulator, is the verification of a handwritten signature (as digital scanned versions are more susceptible to fraud).
If the signature doesn’t match (we do accept some deviations in the signature, within certain margins) the one on your ID, we do indeed ask to sign and re-send the application form as we are required by our regulator to retain a complete and accurate file for several years.
We’re happy to hear that our Helpdesk served you well, and hope that your experience with our service continues to be so.

It was not possible to finish the…

It was not possible to finish the application after the company paid for it. The email/password stopped working and a new one didn't arrive to my email. They can't fix such problems with Helpdesk/IT. They ask to apply again. The price is also higher than other providers but it's ok. The IT works not properly. Sorry guys, have to write this feedback. And hope you fix your system. I chose you because of highest rating on eherkening website.

Not User friendly for foreign-companies

We do not recommend this Provider because :
1. Time-consuming procedure
2. Does not give clear instructions on what items are required beforehand but allowing to proceed instead, though later keeps declining applications continuously.
3. Not all mobile phones are compatible even though they do have NFC application as required.
4. IDs (except local ones) are not permitted.
5. Does not give the opportunity to merge two Accounts into one.
6. Does not give the ability for a video/teams identification. Otherwise, if something goes wrong with the passport identification, they ask you to come to Netherlands for a face-to-face identification, even though it might be impossible as we reside abroad.
7. When you seek for assistance, all the operators keep saying 'sorry, we can not, this is our practice'.

It's impressive that i was able to get my user account approved within two days in these busy days for Reconi and that the Reconi team was able to assist me promptly through their helpdesk and chatbot. The fact that Derya was able to assist me in real-time by reaching out to her colleagues and approving my application while chatting with me shows their dedication to customer satisfaction.
