A joy to work with!
It’s quite a special moment for an author to hear her words spoken out loud, when your characters come alive, have a real voice, not just the ones you hear in your head as you write.
When I listened to Colette’s narration of The Secrets of Tenley House, I was absolutely entranced - even though I knew each word, she took the story, the settings, every single character to another level. She read it, and them, so perfectly and in parts brought me to tears, such was the expression and understanding of each situation.
Her accents are wonderful, and I love that I
she knows when to use a giggle, or a sigh, a gasp or thinly veiled anger just when it’s required.
Her work on Coming Home, which she adapted for a radio play was a work of art and so many of my fans got in touch to say that along with the exquisite sound effects, her voice transported them inside the pages of the book.
If I could have Colette narrate every single one of my novels, I would. And that is the honest truth. She is a consummate professional and a joy to work with.
I recommend her to everyone.
