I woud rate 10 + stars if i could. We booked our trip trough Stjernegaard and REDISCOVER was our local agency. MANOJ our driver-guide was always friendly and on time. He provided us with water and snacks every day. He knew everthing about his country and we learned a lot about history, nature and culture.
Even when the iran-war started and our flights back home were cancelled they all took care of us. We always felt safe and informed what is the next step to do. In the end they found a solution that brought uns back home on a safe route. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience under very special conditions. I highly recommend REDISCOVER. Ask for MANOJ as driver-guide and you will have a perfect Sri Lanka experience.

You can feel a close communication between the danish travelagency and his
travelagency. All the way good communication between guide and local agency. All 3 parts know what they are doing.
Fernando (our driver and guide) made us feel safe in the Sri Lankan crazy traffic. He was always very well prepared - driving or guiding. He is clever (knows so many things about his country, and many other things:) smart thinking, very good at english, a good planner, helpful, carrying and SO flexible. He wants you to have the best experineces. He uses his experinece and contacts around Sri Lanka too give you even more daytrips, than you decidede before going - but is it always up to you, if you want to go:)
Any problems he and the agency is there to solve it, if possible.

We have been driving around in Sri Lanka for one week - and our driver Fernando has done a fantastic job. He really care for his job and want to give us all the best of Sri Lanka.
He has humor, knowledge of many thing, speak good English and very nice be around.
It has been a big pleasure ☀️😎

We just returned from an absolutely fantastic trip to Sri Lanka with Stjernegaard, and it exceeded all expectations.

The journey was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. The 7-day round tour took us across the island (around 1,200 km), giving us a truly diverse experience of Sri Lanka – from lush landscapes and cultural highlights to wildlife and local life. Everything was very well organized, and we always felt in safe and capable hands.

Our guide and driver were exceptional – knowledgeable, friendly, and flexible – which made the experience even more personal and enjoyable.

After the tour, we had a few days of beach relaxation, which was the perfect way to unwind after many great impressions.

Even when our return journey was unexpectedly extended due to international circumstances, everything was handled smoothly, and we felt well supported throughout.

Sri Lanka is an incredible destination, and Stjernegaard delivered a seamless, memorable, and high-quality travel experience from start to finish.

Everything was just amazing!
Our driver and guide Manoj - 6 stars for him!!! - showed us all the places we wanted to visit, was available all the time, explained and shared a lot of knowledge about Sri Lanka, its culture, the sites we were visiting etc. It was a true pleasure to have him as our guide!

Rediscover as a company was always reachable and in touch with us, and extremely supportive and helpful when we unvoluntarily had to prolong our stay due to the war in ME. We felt in the safest hands with them all the time and can only recommend the company to anyone planning to travel to Sri Lanka.

10 days on the move with each day being a fantastic experience. Each accommodation was great with the stand out being Nil Sisila in the Yala National Park area. The husband and wife team created fantastic meals and are just lovely people.
Our driver, guide and new friend Saman, made our time away special. He was able to solve any small problems that do occur in this part of the world, with speed and a smile. He was punctual, polite, knowledgeable, well dressed and a very caring person. We highly recommend Saman. He is a credit to the company.

Sri Lanka is a holiday destination that everyone should experience!
We have been on a roundtrip an seen af small part of this beautiful country. The journey was planned in collaboration with Stjernegaard and Rediscover Journeys, Sri Lanka and our personal chauffeur, Sam Perera, was absolutely essential to the wonderfull experience. Everything from the sightseeing and the food to the people to the hotels has been completely satisfying. We Will recommend Sam and Sri Lanka to everyone we Meet One we are back. Our trip to Sri Lanka has been absolutely amazing and far exceeded our expectations. The primary reason for this is our fantastic guide and driver, Sam Perera. With his pleasant personality, Sam has provided excellent service. He hasn't just been incredibly professional; he also showed his true personality, which I greatly appreciated. We stayed at some lovely hotels; however, Newburgh Ella feels a bit under-visited and is not yet fully finished. This meant we were almost 'swamped' by the staff."

We had an amazing round trip in Sri Lanka! The experience was perfectly organized, with beautiful sights, great hotels, and unforgettable local experiences. The service is unique. Moditha De Silva was always prepared to help (with a smile). So we give the very best recommendations to Mr Moditha De Silva.

We have booked a full “Sri Lanka” package - Sigiriya, Kandy, Ella, Galle…and ends up with relax-time at the Maldives.
It includes that everything is taken care off, but We haven’t expected such a great time with our multiple skilled driver- Chathura 👍🏻
You can expect stories about the country and culture, but you can’t expect that he understands what you’re untold wishes are!
But that exactly what Chathura does….suggesting new plans or things to see/visit, when you tired or adventurios.
We couldn’t ask for a better guide/driver…..he makes the trip all worthy!
A few suggestions though…
Train trip from Badulla to Ella - it is important that you get seats facing driving direction !
We didnt have any problems, since We were the only ones in the compartment 😊👍🏻..but just a good advice.

We had a lovely 2-week holiday in Sri Lanka thanks to our wonderfull guide Amitha.
Amitha was dedicated to ensure us a memorable trip and took care of everything: transportation, water, fruit, and - best of all - guiding with a great knowledge about culture, geography and exciting places to visit.
Also, it was a very safe experience. When our daughter went I’ll due to an acute gastro-enteritis, Amitha arranged a visit to a doctor within an hour, and even had a contact to a competent pediatrist in a nearby city, so that our daughter was taken very good care of.

We can definitely recommend Rediscover journeys and Amitha for those, who wish to visit the spectaculaire country Sri Lanka in the safe hands of a guided tour.

We went on an eight days trip in Sri Lanka arranger by Stjernegaard and with Sampat as our local guide and driver. Sampat told us a lot about local history, religion, nature e.t.c. The trip went through Singiriya, Kandy, Ella and Galle. All were nice and with Sampat taking good care of us.
