Incorrect Product Supplied and No Accountability

See below for my complaint, the supplier's response and my last comment on this matter.

My Experience:
I ordered and paid R250 for a roll Contec Spirometer Thermal Printing Paper (110mm x 25mm) as advertised on the suppliers website and an additional overnight delivery service charge of R250.
I was sent non-thermal ECG paper (110mm x 38mm) — entirely different specifications and not what was purchased.
When the error was raised, instead of correcting it, the seller attempted to justify it with irrelevant explanations about “brand-specific” paper.
This is not a brand issue. It is a fulfillment error.
In medical supplies, specifications are not optional details — they are critical. Sending the wrong consumable and then deflecting responsibility reflects poorly on quality control and professionalism.
Disappointing experience. Buyers should verify everything carefully.

In reference to your recent order for SP100 thermal paper, we sent the correct, high-quality product exactly as it was ordered. There are a few points that need to be addressed here:

The size you asked for is physically impossible. You kept insisting on a "2.5mm" or "25mm" roll. To put that in perspective, 2.5mm is about the thickness of two credit cards. Even at 25mm, once you put the plastic tube in the middle, you’d have almost no paper left to use. Our site had a typo using "mm" instead of "M" (Meters), but we sent the correct 25-Meter roll. This is the standard size that actually fits and works in an SP100. You might want to double-check those specs.

This is 100% thermal paper. The SP100 uses a thermal print head. If the paper wasn't thermal, nothing would show up on the page. The red grid is just a standard medical guide to help doctors read the results; it doesn't change the accuracy of the readings at all.

We went out of our way to help. We got this order from Cape Town to Joburg in under 24 hours to help meet a tender deadline. When there was a complaint, we reached out immediately to help, but we were met with a refusal to clarify the specifications or the machine model. Instead, you chose to insult our company's integrity and post slander online.

We supplied the right paper in record time. We stand by our expertise, our service, and most of all, our integrity.

My final reply to the supplier:
This will be my final comment on this matter.

When I placed the order, your website clearly listed the product as 110mm x 25mm. That is the specification I relied on when making payment. If that size is now being described as “physically impossible,” then that points to an issue with the accuracy of the listing — not a misunderstanding on my part.

Saying the advertised size cannot exist doesn’t resolve the concern. It raises a bigger one.

In addition, the roll supplied measures approximately 38mm in diameter, which does not match the 25mm specification shown at the time of purchase. That is a measurable difference.

This has never been about delivery speed or whether the machine prints. It has always been about specification accuracy and accountability.

The product advertised and the product supplied do not align. I stand by that position.

I consider the matter closed.

Cannot return product

The product was delivered efficiently and on time. However when I wanted to return it the next day it became a problem. Don’t believe the 30 day return policy. They will do everything to avoid it

Regarding your return request, our returns policy (available on our website) allows returns within 7 days for unused and unopened items, or when an incorrect or defective product is supplied.

In this case, the O2 Ring packaging had been opened and the device used. As a medical device that comes into direct contact with the skin, it cannot be accepted for return once opened due to hygiene and safety regulations. It also cannot be resold as a new medical device once opened, which is why change-of-mind returns are not permitted.

Before the order was placed, we asked whether there were any questions about the device or its suitability, and were advised that there were none and that the priority was next-day delivery. We always offer this support upfront to help customers choose the right product.
