Great service at the front desk
The gentlemen who we dealt with at the desk, was wonderful. He was clear, concise and efficient, but also very friendly, with a lovely smile.
The process was great too.
But, the car we were upgraded to had not been valeted! It was very dirty and it was very disappointing. I wanted to complain there and then, but my husband, who was very unwell, didn't want to make a fuss.

Cairns check in was understaffed on arrival with one operator, however the team recovered with an additional two operators some time later…it was very long wait for me however I feel sorry for the line up behind me. The remainder of the experience was great.
Great service, great vehicle and I would give it another go.
Always greeted with a smile
Always greeted with a smile, the service is excellent, the cars are great and the pricing is outstanding. Redspot run rings around their competitors.
Helped solve our problem
Great Customer Service! Helped with an issue that almost had us carless for our trip...
What a nightmare…
What a nightmare…. The car rental itself was fine (other than the car not being full of fuel when we collected which wasn’t an issue). My wife left her phone in the car accidentally. We were contacted by red spot who pointed this out for which we were grateful. As she needs it for work, we asked for it to be sent urgently and that we would cover the cost. With no further comms $138NZD was taken from our visa. That was 19 days ago. After chasing them up several times I managed to get them to actually lodge it with Australia post (at least I think…). I was told it would be sent back to us under urgency and that they would refund the money. That was last week Thursday. It is now Wednesday with no Comms, no sign of the phone being sent and no refund. Based on the tracking number, it still appears to be sitting in their office. The customer service is beyond terrible and I’m not sure we will ever see the phone or our holiday photos again. I would avoid this company like the plague. Very dissatisfied! Redspot: Please don’t respond and ask me to contact the customer service team, that is exactly what I have been doing to no avail
Heads up punters Redspot is what car hire was supposed to be
I like the friendly people who will go the extra mile for you and the neat choices of vehicles.
Im a Redspot guy
Rockhampton Airport staff is efficient
Rockhampton Airport staff is efficient, friendly and helpful. But the second you deal with anyone at head office in Brisbane - it is like you're dealing with a completely different company with the worst customer service with no idea about how their actions shape the customer experience in totality. Even AI chatbots would have been nicer when chasing an invoice for a flat tyre that wasn't even my fault.

Excellent service from the Redspot Brisbane City team! From the warm welcome at pick-up to the easy drop-off, the customer service was exceptional. Everyone was friendly, professional, and made the whole experience smooth and hassle-free. I highly recommend Redspot and will definitely rent with them again.
Had an amazing experience with Jo and…
Had an amazing experience with Jo and the team at Redspot.
Jo was super helpful and caring with helping us get a car within minutes of closing and we actually extended the car rental twice, really nice clean new cars.
The process to book and pick up was super easy - Jo was always a call or email away.
We've ordered a car from Redspot twice in the last month, highly recommend!!!
Chasing refund for a month, horrible experience
Had an unfortunately horrible experience with Redspot Melbourne Airport.
tl;dr: car was perfect, bait and switched on a one way fee, staff don't seem to know what's happening. I've called SIX times for my fee refund over the last month and I still haven't received it
The staff tried their best, but it seems redspot's systems are broken. Booked a one way rental from Melbourne airport to Melbourne CBD for a $60 fee through their website. Upon arriving at the airport branch, the staff told me they would be unable to accomodate the one way and that I would be refunded the amount upon returning it back to the airport. This was really inconvenient for our holiday plans considering I had prebooked this online. The staff told me I shouldn't have been able to book a one way, and they repeatedly told me it was because I had booked through a 3rd party (which I told them I hadn't) which can look identical to their website (I checked my web history when I arrived home, I definitely booked directly through their website). It was frankly an insulting experience, being repeatedly told I had done something I hadn't. They complained that it was also because the city branch was moving on short notice. Regardless of that, customers should not be allowed to book something you do not offer, whether it's through a 3rd party or your own website. If circumstances of your business change, notify the customer, I would've been fine with it if they had called me beforehand so I could at least plan for it. Instead, I found out as I picked up the car.
I was assured the one way fee would be refunded within 12 hours of returning the car if I notified the staff member when returning. The staff then upgraded our car free of charge for the inconvenience, which I appreciate, and we drove it out after almost an hour of waiting/sorting out that mess. But then they called me back an hour later telling me they COULD accommodate the one way, but only for $90. Considering I had already prebooked and been charged the $60, is this not bait and switch fraud? I declined the offer, continued my holiday, and returned the car notifying the staff member to refund my one way fee as instructed. Worth noting the car we got (a Nissan X-Trail E-POWER) was perfect the whole trip.
48 hours after returning, I had not received my refund. I called to follow up and was told they would escalate it to IT and that I would receive my refund shortly. It has been almost a whole MONTH since then and I have called them 6 times and still not received my refund. Each call they'd apologise and make up some excuse. That they would personally escalate it and I would get my refund shortly. 6 times over a month, how's that even possible?
Very friendly, nice car, easy to hire.
Very friendly, clean car, full tank, very reasonably priced, unlimited klms, located in middle of surfers, hassle free pick up and drop off.
Rented a car from Brisbane airport
Rented a car from Brisbane airport, the car and process was fine but don't be like me and not read the rental agreement properly. Upon returning the car I was charged for surcharges that cost me more than the car rental. Almost $500 for 1 day. Won't be returning!
Honestly easiest most friendliest car…
Honestly easiest most friendliest car hire place I have ever used. Staff accommodated all my changes with a smile, nothing was too much trouble, will definitely use again.
I am discussed with the behaviour of staff member
I am discussed with the behaviour of your staff member at Newcastle airport.
I booked an paid for a car to be picked up when i arrived i was ask for my card and licence plus a proof of address and then asked for a credit card. I explained I don't have 1 but my debit card which is a master card should be valid she then went on to argue this is not accepted etc and I asked to speak to her manager she also said no an she would not contact him to verify etc.
I said to her ive booked a rental before with my Mastercard an yes it is valid why do I need a credit card. I told her ive paid the deposit plus rental fees online with there company an she said she will not refund or couldn't.
I left with no car no money and was in shock with how rude and unhelpful this team member was. I will not be renting with your company again and I hope I get my refund as well.
Due to this staff member I now have to wait till the end of the week to do anything about my refund.
This team member definitely needs some retraining with her customers services and maybe training in what she allowed to do etc.
By the way my card was accepted i checked while i was in talks for my refund and so she was wrong.
Garbage Ad
You stating your ads that you are the only company that didn’t increase their rates during the fuel crisis. You don’t pay for fuel you idiots. The client pays for the fuel. What a bullshit ad that is congratulations on spinning more garbage on the radio.
