How do they get away with it!

This company has now ceased trading (18.11.21) and all the negative comments were absolutely justified. I had to give it a rating, but quite frankly a treble 000 would have been more suitable. I have a voucher and will be asking the card company if I can claim.

The worst travel agent ever

This is a message for everyone who who has booked ot wanting to book a holiday with Refresh holidays. Please don't. To all those who still have not received their money after booking to fly and are being offered partial payment, forced to take credit notes, ease font accept. Let's come together and petition for our money. These people must be reported ASAP. They are criminal taking advantage of people during these difficult times.

DO NOT BOOK

Still waiting on refund from when Thomas Cook went bust! Still no answer when I ring up or email ! Obviously know my number! 2 YEARS now. You owe me over a grand! Absolute JOKE! We paid extra 2 grand in new flights cos u said we d lose our accommodation money as hotel still open. Forced to go . Only getting half back and you still aint done that !

Do not book with this company this company have refused to give me my money back due to essential travel and an amber country they are saying they can only offer a credit note this company is a fraud company and are holding your monies the man I spoke to Paul was very cheeky and basically laughed and told me I wasn’t getting my money back I’m fuming and I will take this further they are a scam and fraud company avoid at all costs

No refund without an ARN number request

My father booked a holiday with Refresh only for it to be cancelled due to Covid-19 he contacted them and they offered a voucher instead of a refund which they gave no option but to except.

When it became clear the pandemic would go on longer than the voucher validity date he requested a refund, they would not refund the full £1040 so my father accepted a lesser amount of £800 which was promised back in April then again in Early May which did not arrive in his bank account.

He send another letter but this time giving them 14 days to respond as they would not talk to him and sometimes not even answer the phone.

He contacted them again and they promised the £800 would be in his account on the 14th May 21 however again no money appeared.

He then emailed them and put me (his son) on the contact details so I could speak with them on his behalf, after a 30 minute wait to get through we finally spoke to someone who promised the money by 24th May.

I then requested a proof of payment from the bank and the ARN number (a 23 digit number which means the receiving bank can track the payment) only after a full hours conversation did they agree to provide this.

My father received the £800 that same day, however if I hadn't asked for proof of payment and the ARN number I don't believe he would of ever got his money back.

If you are awaiting a refund contact them ask for the proof of payment which will have the value date for the payment appear in your account and the ARN number (Acquirer Reference Number) I sincerely hope everyone owed money from Refresh can use my experience to help get their money back.

This is a complete joke of a company.

This is a complete joke of a company.. wouldn’t book with them if they were the last holiday company available... I booked a holiday with them in August 2019.. due to the collapse of Thomas Cook the holiday didn’t go ahead... after phone call after phone call and email after email... reason’s or excuses who know’s.. but I still haven’t received my money back... I’m at the point of issuing them with a CCJ.. Although I don’t think that will make any difference judging by previous posts..

This has to be the worst holiday…

This has to be the worst holiday company we have ever dealt with. After booking a holiday with them at the end of Jan 2020 and paying nearly £1400, it was cancelled (quite rightly so due to the covid pandemic), we had to contact them the day before we were due to fly out to get them to send an email saying it had been cancelled. They then offered us a holiday voucher, which we declined saying we wanted a full refund. They said this would take some time, fine we understood everybody was in the same situation. However, after spending the last 5 months trying to get them to pay us out what we were entitled to, we ended up accepting a smaller amount, they say this is because of the flights.
The biggest issue is this, they are rude, unhelpful and totally unprofessional. Had they dealt with us in a better way we would not be writing this review.
All the contact was done by us and not them, it took us threating to go to the police to get our money back, even though it was £300 difference from what we had paid. Shocking company, how they can be allowed to operate is beyond belief.
Please whatever you do, do not use this company!!!

Seriously do NOT book with this company…

Seriously do NOT book with this company what ever you do, they are a sham and for them to promise to contact and not contacting me back!! Wont give me a refund on my holiday from when Thomas Cook went into administration!! And not to mention how rude the staff are!! They should not be trading

EDIT it's now end of June still no refund I even issued a county court judgement in February still no money they owe me £1000 it's now been since last September! 10 months I have been waiting please please do not book with this company

Money Grabbing, Dishonest, Rude and Unprofessional

Shocking, money grabbing, ignorant and entirely unprofessional.
When booking the holiday they tried to increase the cost of the flight by £20 per person stating "the airline prices increase all the time". Then tried to increase the cost of the room "you are in a basic room with no amenities or view but can be upgraded to budget level for £20 per person per night". AFTER the holiday was booked and paid for they then asked for an extra £16 per person for "administration charges". With Covid-19 I called several times and was given various outlooks from "you will be fully refunded" in the first call to "no refunds will be given, only vouchers". Citing that the hotel group only gave vouchers. I contacted the hotel and they told me that the charges were fully refunded in February. The most unhelpful and ignorant of staff was Adam who was particularly rude, refused to answer my questions and hung up on me. Emailed to outline my ATOL cover but never received a reply. Will never use this company or any part of this group again!

I booked a holiday with this company refresh holidays my holiday had to be changed due to personal circumstances and then again because off covid 19 both times i dealt with paul who was fantastic he kept me informed all the way via email and has now rebooked my holiday again for me with minimum fuse he was very professional friendly and i felt that nothing was too much trouble for him well done paul you are a star and very dedicated to your job you deliver a great service many thanks for all your help danee

NEVER BOOK WITH THEM.

I booked a holiday prior to COVID-19 to go away sadly which became a time of lockdown.
I understand these companies are busy and under pressure, however I do not recommend to any individual to use this company post lockdown.

I get told so many stories about my refund, they now do not answer my calls or respond to my emails. Reading the below reviews, I am not aware I am not the only one. (When they did used to answer they were extremely rude and had no customer service skills.)

I will never ever book with this company again. Also remember people do not forget who treated them badly etc over these uncertain times.

Good customer service

Disgusting the way that they treat customers, no information at all on when I might get a refund, every time I ring them I get told a different lie, I can only hope I get my refund before the deservedly go bankrupt

Been told now that all refunds are on hold due to the coronavirus as anybody else had that told booked in june last year package holiday and there claiming that it's just flights only even tho it states package disgusting company no refund either dont book with these people they are a joke got told I would have my money the first 2 weeks of april then get told it's on hold all refunds fuming

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service and communication. I appreciate these are very difficult times for everyone, but to become a money grabbing company and with holding and not processing customer refunds is a disgrace. If you don’t support customers during this time for the sake of your own gains now you will not have a business on the other side of this as people will not book!!! I was promised full refund by agent in writing following a long call, and even though flight was cancelled weeks ago and in fact meant to be on holiday from yesterday I still have no refund! Reached out for online chat and awful customer service experience with lack of answers and just robotic computer led responses. Received email from ‘customer service’ but defiantly no such thing within this company about ‘customer service’
Throughout all of this no mention or updates provided to customers and total arrogance of agents and firm to still be booking holidays when whole country in lockdown and flights clearly being cancelled.
If you want to act this way, you deserve all you get and at this rate will be going bust! Holding onto people’s money like a con man! You should be ashamed. People booked in good faith and during these hard time’s you should be giving people there hard earned money back as no one is going anywhere for months!!
Sort my promises refund out immediately, I will also be taking legal advice as all things received and promised are in writing which you are now avoiding..

Get on with it! It’s your job and duty to look after customers. Without them you have no business. Continue to treat them this way hoping you survive with peoples hard earned Money you won’t have a business! No customers = no business

Has a phone call today chasing up the final £63 on my £663 holiday. The country is now in lockdown, everyone is worried about how we are going to cope financially yet they want me to pay the remains of a holiday that is not going to happen now due to covid-19.due to travel may 29th. Disgusting
