It's not surprising to see such…

It's not surprising to see such horrible reviews. This is one of the worst banks that I have ever worked with. I was traveling abroad and two of my cards were stolen. They told me that they were sending the cards to my address in another country and they never did. I constantly followed up for weeks and they kept assuring me that the card was being shipped. Turns out that was a lie. They never shipped the card whatsoever. Then they told me that they couldn't ship the card to another country so I said fine, send it to my address and I will get the card shipped to where I'm located. At that time they sent me an email saying that they were gonna close down my account if I didn't verify my address using a utility bill so that was an issue then to top it off my credit card stopped working but only for transactions that required me to take money out so now I'm in another country with no cards and I can't take money out. They had me running around to multiple in the city, when they were well aware that something was wrong on their end I spent hundreds of dollars because I kept having to contact them to try to resolve the problem which she never resolved Chat support is absolutely horrible. Representatives are lazy, unprofessional, incompetent, and rude. I've spent hours probably at least 50 hours dealing with my issues and you guessed it. There's been no resolution. They are absolutely horrible and I do not recommend them.

I have been with REGIONS BANK for since 2007. I have never had a problem or bad experience. I use the RIVERVIEW FLORIDA Branch. Every time I visit ALL employees are VERY HELPFUL and FRIENDLY. I have sent funds to Spain and never had a problem.
REGIONS BANK IS A GREAT BANK... Daniel & Andrea Rich

Waste of time dealing with them

Waste of time dealing with them. They were recommended to us for a well repair; we make plenty of money and have credit in the 730s. Their rationale for declining us, after weeks of submitting document after document, was that our taxes show less income than we actually make—excuse us for having an excellent CPA who minimizes our tax burden as a small business! Avoid this company like the plague; we are now in week six with no water of our own, running off of our neighbor thankfully. Don't walk—run from this organization.

Had a horrible experience with Regions…

Had a horrible experience with Regions Bank. Needed some paperwork for my disabled brother to keep his residence. The paperwork with be a 15 minute job, at the most, for any customer service rep. Local branch wouldn't help. Directed me to a customer service line as well as a website. Regional customer service directed me to the website. Website won't allow me to put in the request (I am the client). No one willing to help. Customer rep kept telling me to go to the website and there was nothing more to do. Will change banks within weeks. Never want to go thru this again!

Very frustrated and not feeling like my bank of 20 years is properly taking care of me in my time of need. I went to them because I felt my account may have been compromised and told them I had some medical bills still pending to clear. I was told not to worry. Well those bills did not get taken care of and have caused both fees and cancelations of seriously needed and long awaited cardiac appointment. Medical supplied did not get delivered. Ugh. We left money in the account to pay for them and still they denied it.
The manager, Miguel just gave me a bunch of lip service. Does no one get it?? I have 6 figures in this bank and they dont seem to care about me. Why, Miguel?? You are supposed to give a damn when you staff messes up! Get some training in customer care.

Violates Uniform Commercial Code (UCC § 3-114) … U.S. banking rules do not require that the words “thousand” and “hundred” be explicitly written out on a check for it to be valid — as long as the amount is clearly written and unambiguous in the legal amount line (the line written in words, not numerals).

Solar Loan

Regions bank holds the financing on my clients solar loan. We sold her house and the buyers are willing to assume the solar loan through Regions bank. We are cleared to close this Thursday with the exception of bank review of the solar loan paperwork. We turned everything into Regions immediately and they have approved the buyers ability to assume the loan. However NO ONE at Regions will work with us to email us the solar loan paperwork - we’ve called daily for weeks, and all they say is they reserve the right to take up to 60 days to process the paperwork. Home sales are shorter than 60 days.

They told me I could expedite the file 3 days before closing and today when I called to make the request they said that they don’t do this. The customer service is horrendous.

Do NOT choose them for your solar financing.

I will share this experience with all my Real Estate Clients and fellow agents to stay away from Regions for financing.

We have people with furniture on moving trucks yet they won’t click send/email us so we can have the loan paperwork.

I will continue to post our experience until someone actually decides to help us!

Just...NOPE

I've had Regions for years. Our pay schedule is every Friday, but I, and others, get paid 2 days earlier, on Wednesday. It's ALWAYS been this way. So I'm used to setting up bill pay for Wednesday. So imagine my surprise when I didn't get paid by the same time I'm used to. I check with the bank and they don't show any pending deposits and I check with management and HR And I'm told that I shouldn't expect my pay to be earlier which is ridiculous since I've always been paid on the same day but I'm also told by an ex-bank employee that getting paid a few days earlier is a courtesy done by the bank and that it's up to them if they pay you a few days earlier. So now my bank is in severe overdraft and I'm hoping that if I get paid tomorrow then it will be fine so I ask when the overdraft fees will start to post, because at the most I'll get paid in 2 days. Most banks, including every bank I've ever banked with previously, would give three business days. They gave me ONE! THEY GAVE ME ONE DAY. MY BANK OVERDRAFTED TODAY AND THEY SAID I HAVE ONLY TODAY.

Horrible

Horrible. I have had issues with the external transfer since opening the account. Regions bank just seems not to be able to get it done. The customer service people are nice, but they do not know a damn thing. I have spent so much time going to the branch to be "verified". I have spent hours on the phone, literally hours, only to be told "we can't do anything about it in this department. Yet, no one can get me to the right department. Totally frustrated and disappointing. I really would have liked to use a bank in my hometown, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I will go find another bank. If you are reading this, think twice before becoming a customer.

**UPDATE**
The external transfer is now working. I am only increasing the review to three stars because it took them so long (over three weeks) to fix it and nobody seemed to know what was going on.
Customer service at the branch and online tried their best, but whatever department it took to fix it is responsible for this low review.

I had my card locked with the LockIt…

I had my card locked with the LockIt feature and the bank still allowed transactions to post to the account. The bank is trying to say it is my error since I had the card unlocked earlier that day. This is false and I received emails from regions explaining the transactions were blocked and they still went through.
The banking system failed and they are trying to put this on me as a customer. My account is not negative and Regions is saying there is nothing the can do until the transactions post. Why when i did not authorize these transactions and your system gave me a notification that the card and transaction where blacked.

Transfer of money

I transferred money from my saving account into my credit card by mistake on my part which was my mistake. Instead of being something simple to fix they have given me the run around and told me it will take at least 3 days to get my 9000.00 out 0f the one account back into the one I wanted in.

Their own line bill payment system is BROKEN and not being fixed

Set up my automatic monthly mortage payments from my Regions checking account...but they aren't transfering the money between accounts. Want to charge late fees and tell me that I'm missing my mortage payment when they can't make the transfers I set up. Unbelievable AND they apparently know they have issues and aren't fixing it according to one of their employees who recommends not using their platform. What a horrible way to do business. Get another bank.....I am.

A frustrating nightmare with no solutions

I’ve had an absolutely deplorable experience with Regions Bank. They hold funds for no clear reason, and even the bank manager lacks the authority to release them—what kind of operation is this? The online service is utterly useless; the automated system offers no relevant options to address real issues, and getting a human on the phone is impossible. Problems can’t even be resolved in-person at the branch, which defeats the purpose of having a physical bank. Customer service is nonexistent, and the entire experience feels like a frustrating dead end. Avoid Regions at all costs—zero stars if I could! All these bad reviews and they don't even care.

Subject Broken Loan Transfer Process

Subject: Broken loan transfer process.

I’ve had a loan with Regions Bank for 3 years for solar panels. Im currently trying to sell my house and found someone willing to assume the loan as part of the sale. Upon speaking to the bank about the transfer (30 days before closing) I was told it could take up to 60 days even though the process is all done within Regions Bank and only requires a two page application and pay stubs from last 30 days. I am now 2 days from closing and cannot get anyone in the bank to help expedite this process. I have been told that there is no management to contact over this department and therefore no one to talk to. Additionally, they don’t have phones to that department to call anyone. Every time I call I am given the same ticket number and no indication of updates in status. This has caused me, and many other people involved (two home sales are depending on this transfer) extensive anxiety and possibly thousands of dollars in lost earnest money deposits. While I am thankful Regions Bank permits transfer of these types of loans, 60 days to approve a credit application seems excessive. I am very disappointed with this process and the lack of concern and poor communication by the service people that have been involved, both in the bank, online and on the phone. Additionally, there appears to be no management involvement at all. I don’t like writing bad reviews but sometimes it is necessary to get things fixed……this process is broken.

Thanks to Ashton for reaching out to me and providing two options to help but unfortunately neither option helped. The phone number provided put me in the same department queue which has been no help. I used the email address provided but have not heard any response. If I don’t get approval today by noon CST, I may lose my sale of my existing home, lose the sale of my new home, and thousands in earnest money. PLEASE HELP!

I had an absolutely awful experience…

I had an absolutely awful experience with Regions Bank when my debit card was compromised. They were fully aware of the fraudulent transactions, yet when I called their fraud department and spoke with four different agents, none were willing to help me. Despite being polite and patient throughout the process, their only solution was for me to lie about the entire situation. This is completely unacceptable and has left me feeling vulnerable and frustrated. I foresee closing my account and hope this bank goes bankrupt. DO NOT bank with Regions! They will not protect you or your money. READ all the reviews and stay away from this bank!

Absolutely terrible bank

Absolutely terrible bank. If you close your account and two years later get a charge, they will reopen the banking account and put you in the negative and keep charging until you pay. They NEVER fully close the account. Absolutely a terrible and corrupt company. Will never do business with a trash company like this. Regions is horrible!!

Regions in Dalton GA will not answer their phone. The numbers online 706-671-6800 and 706-671-6770 are never answered. After holding several minutes a recording says “your number is not available, please try later”. What is the problem with Regions?
