Be very careful with this company

Be very careful with this company. I received a letter through the post after making a UK trade mark application, and it was presented in a way that looked very official. Only on careful reading did it appear to be a private publication offer for £985, not a required IPO fee. I think this is potentially very misleading for small businesses and first-time applicants. Always check directly with the UK IPO before paying anything connected to a trade mark application.
